Long time Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster Buck Martinez retired earlier this off-season after decades in the booth. The team now appears set to promote 58-year-old Joe Siddhal as his permanent replacement on-game telecasts. Siddhal split duties between studio work and games last season while filling in for Martinez during his medical leave. He's expected to handle between 125 and 130 games this year, alongside play-by-play voice Dan Schoeman. Fans have mixed feelings about the change, with many appreciating Siddhal's smooth transition last year and his first hand playing experience. As a Windsor Ontario native, he brings local roots and a brief big league career from the 1990s with teams like the Expo's and Tigers. Martinez leaves a huge legacy, having called multiple World Series in Earn Sports Emmy Awards, during stints with ESPN and the Orioles.
