No less an expert than the great Dylan Thomas said that, “a good poem helps to change the shape of the universe.” Poems are gifts we can give ourselves, especially when we can get that spark of creativity from our dreams.

Joan Gelfand is a poet and artist who has been able to weave majestic words into several books of poetry including Burial, Here and Abroad, and The Long Blue Room. Her stories and poems have also appeared in over 100 national and international literary magazines. She talks about her work and the art of poetry in this installment of Dream Power Radio, noting:
