Jets Pursue Malik Willis in QB Free Agency

Their top option on the open market is Malik Willis from the Green Bay Packers, who's expected to be the best available signal caller. ESPN recently projected free agent moves for every team and picked Willis as the Jets signing. It's a bold call since the Jets haven't been heavily linked to him lately, but they do need a fresh start at the position after Justin Fields flopped. The Jets have plenty of room to spin, sitting on about $87,700,000 in cap space. That's the third most in the league. Behind only the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders, neither of whom are hunting for a quarterback. SpotTrack values Willis at around $35,500,000 per year. That's Steve Furgai with just one start in four games under his belt last season, but the QB need can drive a price as fast. We'll find out soon if the Jets chase him aggressively.
