Sermon: Jesus the Revealer

Scripture: Hebrews 1:1-3

”In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.“

INTRODUCTION: The “R” in GLORY stands for Revealer. 

The Heart of God…

Jesus Wept. John 11:35

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it… Luke 19:41

The Hand of God…

”Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.“

”When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them.“

”So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”“

The Hope of Glory…

”To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.“

CONCLUSION: The glory of God is man fully alive in Christ.
