Sermon: Jesus The Physician

Scripture: Matt. 8:2-3 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.”

INTRODUCTION: It has been said that in the earthly ministry of Jesus he was a preacher, teacher and healer.

Series Tagline: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.”

It’s the revealed character of God to Heal.

Ex. 15:26 

He said, "If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”

Jesus is Gods character revealed in flesh.

Hebrews 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Col. 2:9-10

9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.
