Jeri Katherine Howell has been writing and performing as a solo artist – and collaborating with Kentucky musicians – for over 15 years. In 2007 she won 2nd Place in the Flat Rock Music Festival Songwriters Contest for the title track of her first album Branch to Branch. Fast forward ten years, Jeri Katherine received a Fulbright grant with the U.S. Department of State and performed and lectured throughout San Carlos, Costa Rica with a fellow named Nat Colten, also with us this evening. In June of this year, Jeri Katherine and Nat Colten released their debut album, Holding On.Jeri Katherine Howell and Nat Colten. An Americana/Folk singer-songwriter duo based in Frankfort, Kentucky, these players will really win you over with their beautiful harmonies thoughtful songwriting. Jeri Katherine and Nat each wrote five of the tunes comprising their debut album, Holding On, lyrical stories from their journeys around the world, with sounds rooted in their Kentucky home.
