It's April 17th. I'm Cory with the story, and this is Entertainment and celebrity news today, AI-powered and star-driven. Jen Shaw, the former real housewives of Salt Lake City Star, convicted of fraud, is spilling tea on our prison beef with Galein Maxwell. Shaw served 33 months for scamming thousands in a telemarketing scheme and says Maxwell got VIP treatment no other inmate sees. She claims Maxwell enjoyed late night private workouts, special meals, bottled water, and on-demand legal calls during their time in the same federal. Lockup. Working in recreation, Shaw had to clean up after these perks first hand. Both women crossed paths before Shaw's release last December to home confinement in Utah, finishing her six-and-a-half-year sentence there. Maxwell's doing 20 years at a cushy minimum security spot in Texas called ClubFid, after her 2021 conviction for sex, trafficking tied to Jeffrey Epstein. Shaw was repulsed by Maxwell's zero remorse for victims as young as nine, watching their stories on TV without a flicker of regret.
She kept her distance, calling out the dismissiveness loud and clear. The Bureau of Prisons insists all inmates get equal treatment and promises action if these claims check out. But Shaw stands firm, everybody saw the favoritism play out.
