About this episode
The letter also carried an unmistakable undertone of arrogance. Epstein implied that his wealth, connections, and community standing should earn him leniency, reminding the court of his long list of “accomplishments” and insisting he posed no threat of reoffending. There was no genuine remorse, no acknowledgment of the pain inflicted on the dozens of girls he victimized—only concern for himself and his legacy. The tone was carefully crafted to sound reflective but landed as manipulative and hollow. In retrospect, the letter encapsulated Epstein’s entire strategy: weaponizing privilege, charm, and influence to elude true accountability.

According to statistics, the average person walks past 36 murders in their lifetime. On Mike and Hollywood movies, they're not easy to spot. They seamlessly blend into our everyday lives, assuming rules, as family neighbors, helpful colleagues, or even the person lying beside you each night. I wanted to be out of jail. I couldn't wait till I got out. I was in there with someone who was clearly psychopathic. Using a basket of research and primary audio, morbidology is an award-winning, true crime podcast that shines a light on the darkest corners of humanity. Through our investigation, we have attained evidence, which we are not releasing at this time, which leads us to believe Jolene is not alive. Turn into morbidology each week across all podcast platforms. They keep telling you that the Jeffrey Epstein story is finished, that it was investigated,
that it was handled. But here's the part that they never explain, why the charges were so narrow when the conduct was so broad. How does a man with multiple properties, private aircraft, international travel, and a documented pipeline of victims get treated like a lone offender? Why were logistics treated as background noise instead of evidence? Why were facilitators reduced to footnotes instead of defendants? Well, that's where we come in. The Epstein Chronicles exists because those questions were never answered. This podcast breaks down what the public record actually shows, the deals that kept exposure, the decisions that limited scope, and the moments where prosecutors chose restraint, overreach. If you ever wondered why this case feels unfinished, why accountability stopped at the perimeter, or why so many names remain officially invisible, you've come to the right place. Welcome to the Epstein Chronicles. Now, top everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. After Jeffrey Epstein was arrested the first time. A lot of his friends and
co-conspirators even, well, they took to writing a letter to the judge trying to ask for easier time, writing to the prosecutors, trying to ask for easier time. And then, when all is said and done, Epstein's prosecuted, these very same people still want to try and put distance from themselves like they didn't write these letters. The dubans especially and Galen Maxwell, they both wrote just incredibly glowing letters about how great of a guy Jeffrey Epstein was, trying to get him to do less time. And while Maxwell has been punished for her behavior, her role here, I wonder when the dubans are going to get a proper look. Obviously, they were very close to Jeffrey Epstein. And obviously, there are some very disturbing allegations about the dubans. We all know what we heard in court documents about the young Swedish girl at their house. We all heard about what she told them had happened to her
on the island. We know what Virginia has said. So how is it that these people have escaped any kind of real scrutiny? Today, we have an article from the DailyMail.com headline, Galen Maxwell described Jeffrey Epstein as a man of principles in a biography letter that was sent to prosecutors in 2007 after his first arrest and includes glowing testimony from his goddaughter about how he took her to a daddy daughter dance. Now, think about that for a minute. You're out here crowing that one of the most prolific sex traffickers of all time took your daughter to a daddy daughter dance. What was Glenn Dubin too busy? Dicking around, you know, molesting somebody else or something to bring his daughter to the dance. Uncle Jeffy had to step in. And then the fact that he was the godfather of this kid and pulled people that he wanted to marry her is just almost beyond the pale. This article was published on November 15th of 2019 and the author is Jennifer Smith.
Galen Maxwell gushed over Jeffrey Epstein as a man of principles in a lengthy letter that was sent to prosecutors in 2007 in defense of his character by an anonymous author after he was charged with soliciting underage girls. Imagine you know somebody and they get nailed for quote-unquote soliciting underage girls, whatever that means. And then you write a glowing letter for them and not think that anyone's ever going to know that you wrote that letter or call you out for it. The pedophile at the time was negotiating with authorities in Palm Beach County after an extensive police and FBI investigation, which found he had been having sex with underage girls and trafficking them. So right off the bat, just that paragraph alone, what are you negotiating with them about? Ray the house, arrest them, send them to prison forever. Seems pretty simple to me, kind of like waking up in the morning, putting a little water on your face maybe, brushing your teeth, putting on some deodorant, pretty basic stuff, right? So why are you negotiating
with a man who was trafficking girls? He was given a sweetheart deal after pleading guilty to two charges of soliciting underage girls and was sentenced to just a year in prison during which time he was allowed to go to his office daily and carry on working and according to other people and alleged abuse victims, he was still abusing them throughout this whole entire time that he was supposed to be on work release. He had a guard with him, that didn't matter. The guard didn't even do anything about it and we've also heard that at least one of the guards destroyed records from the time when he was watching Epstein during this house release program. So the whole thing smells like dog shit from day one. Before they reached the deal, his attorney Jack Goldberger sent the unsigned letter to the local state's attorney Barry Cresher and said it was proof of his good character.
Enjoy some fun reading on your defendant Goldberger wrote on a note accompanying the letter. Imagine that's what you that's a kind of conversation these people are having when we're dealing with a human trafficker. I don't want the defense attorney and the prosecutor to be all friendly when we imagine it was your kid and this is the kind of letter that they're sending back and forth. Oh enjoy some good reading on the defendant. What the hell does that even mean? The Palm Beach Post which is spearheaded the gradual media exposure of Epstein's crimes for years uncovered it and published it on Friday. It also includes a glowing character assessment from his ex-girlfriend Swedish model turned doctor Eva Anderson Dubin. She named him godfather of her three children. In the letter her daughter Solina who was 12 at the time said Epstein or Uncle Jeff I mean really the optics right there Uncle Jeff right. We all know that usually means oh this is my Uncle Jeffy you okay sure.
Steped into attend the father daughter dance with her when her own father was unavailable. Solina is now 24 and the student at Harvard oh shocking. I'm sure she didn't use nepotism to get in the Harvard. I'm sure she's just such a stunning student that she just strolled right in there with her weighted 4.5 GPA and an SAT score of 6600. Yeah I'm sure that's exactly what happened. Galen described how he stopped her from falling into a deep depression when they started dating in the 90s after the death of her newspaper executive father Robert. I find all of this to be bullshit by the way folks let me just add that before we go on any further the whole narrative about how they met what she's pitching here I find it to be BS. I think that they met before her father's death and in fact her father played a pivotal part in putting the two together. My experience of Jeffery is of a thoughtful kind generous loving man with a keen sense of humor
and a ready smile a man of principles and values and a man of his word. Boy sounds like a real fantastic relationship these two had huh and then Maxwell tried and said that she was victimized by this guy. Sure doesn't sound like somebody who's being victimized. If he made a promise he would always follow through. In fact I never saw him break a promise. He is disciplined in business and conscientious. A man always quick to help someone who is down or to offer an opportunity to someone to pursue a dream or a goal. What she's saying there and saying it brazenly is that he'll do whatever he can to make sure that he can molest you. Oh you have a dream or a goal you're from a broken home. Oh he'll take care of you. If you read between the lines that's what that's what they're saying. Elsewhere the anonymous author praised him for distracting her when she came to New York. Anderson was a model when she met Epstein in the early 1980s. In the letter it is claimed that he helped her pursue her long life, her long dream of becoming a doctor by paying
her school fees and encouraging her. I mean how is it that these people haven't had more of a look? At the very least bring them in. Sapena depositions the whole thing. You had Eva Anderson Dubin up on the stand during the trial and could she be any more less of a useful witness? Oh I don't remember. I have memory issues this that the other thing. It was a farce. Even after they broke up because he did not want children, they stayed friends and she and her husband Glenn named Epstein Godfather to their three children. I found it all so weird and so odd. It's such a weird dynamic between these these people. The Dubins and Jeffrey Epstein. Imagine having your wife's benefactor. The guy that she was with and she would have still been with if you want a children. Still part of your life. Seems to me like some sort of cuckold situation. In court papers filed by Virginia Roberts who was held as Epstein sex slave and claims she
has had sex with Prince Andrew claims she was instructed to have sex with Glenn while Eva slept next door because she was pregnant with one of the children at the time. So Glenn Dubin is directly in the crosshairs here folks and he has never been brought up to be talked to. Never been deposed. None of that stuff. Oh he's lost his job. He had to step down in shame but is that enough? If he actually took part in the abuse here as is claimed by Virginia, shouldn't he be held accountable for that? He denies her allegations. The Dubins were horrified by and completely unaware of Jeffrey Epstein's unspeakable conduct. No you weren't. You wrote a glowing letter to say how great of a guy he was when he got busted. What are you even talking about? They categorically deny the allegations and have evidence disproving them. A spokesman for the pair told DailyMail.com Where is all of this evidence? All of these people talk about all of this evidence and I'm yet to see any of it to be honest with you. Eva gave a glowing description of Epstein in the letter.
Today Jeffrey is a very close and important friend to my family. He is the godfather of my three children and a close friend of my husband as well. Oh what a great guy. What an innocent great life you're all living. See look at us. We're just normal like everybody else. Meanwhile what they don't tell you is they have three sex slaves locked away in the bedroom. I'm Lee here to dig into conspiracies that will make you question everything. We are the Daily Conspiracy Podcast. Because reptilians don't take days off. He will always remember the children's birthdays and he is constantly on the lookout for educational games for the kids. Sure focuses on the kids a lot, huh? No red flags there? Mommy? Four years ago when I had a cancer scare, Jeffrey was extremely supportive in visiting me every day in the hospital. I could not ask for a better friend or godfather to my children she wrote, boy, you should reevaluate your life. If you really think that you can't find a better godfather or someone in your children's life than Jeffrey Epstein, you need new friends. She also had her 12-year-old daughter Selena write something for the letter. The child wrote, one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me happened about two years
ago when I was at a ballroom dancing class. It was father-daughter dance day and unfortunately my father was stuck in a business meeting. I didn't know what I would do because you had to bring your father to the dance class. I got to the class alone, but then soon enough, a quick phone called the uncle Jeff didn't leave me standing there alone for more than 10 minutes. I mean, wow. It's almost pathetic. Sad and pathetic. Imagine looking back on this now and how horribly this is aged. This is like leaving out some milk for two years and then going back to reevaluate the situation. Uncle Jeff substituted for my father that night and the way he rushed to the class felt exactly like having my father there. Others who contributed were Epstein's old school old school mates from Coney Island and former taxi drivers who worked with who he worked with during summer breaks from college. The letter describes his improbable success and aptitude for math and numbers. It describes the key event in his life when he was introduced to a bear
stern stockbroker and left his job as a math teacher to set on his path of becoming a billionaire, to set on his path of becoming a thief, to set on his path of becoming a grifter, set on his path to become a molester and a rapist. He cemented his place in business. He said, by becoming an advisor to the hyper-rich, you mean by blackmailing the hyper-rich, by setting up a whole entire honeypot scheme filled with compromise. That's what you mean, right? As an example of the kind of work he did for these prominent wealthy families, the letter described the hypothetical scenario of a father wanting his daughter's new fiance to sign a prenuptial agreement, but not wanting to upset her. The daughter of a client becomes engaged because of the difficulty of knowing whether her suitor is motivated by love or money. A prenuptial agreement is called for. Where the client to insist on this with his daughter, he might well incur her wrath because of the implicit questioning of the motivation of her betrothed. So we'll go get Jeffrey Epstein to
get involved in that, because the guy is obviously the king of marriage. With Jeffrey as the family advisor to the client, however, it would be he who would deliver the news to the daughter, and it would be he who would incur an incur and absorb her wrath, thus insulating the client from these unpleasant trees. The letter read, I mean, for real, you need Jeffrey Epstein to act as a buffer between you and your child. Give me a break already. It does not speak to any of the allegations against him at the time, but finishes. The bottom line for Jeffrey Epstein is that while he has become an improbably successfully businessman, he has also been an unusually understanding and generous human being. Oh yeah, very generous and understanding human being. Tell that to the girls he raped, molested and trafficked. Finally, in his generosity, Jeffrey has sought nothing for himself, no except a room lives, collect people, collect compromise, collect money. I mean, for real,
to the extent it is possible, his giving has always been anonymous, when this has not been possible, it is clear that he does not seek the spotlight for these acts. No, he seeks favors for these acts. He wants access for these acts. You're painting them like he's some kind of generous, great guy, but the reality is everything he did was thinking three moves ahead on how he was going to firewall himself in case he ever got busted. It also claimed he was uncomfortable with the public attention he received when he flew former president Bill Clinton to Africa with his aide's charity. Epstein died in August while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. He denied them, despite a multitude of women claiming to be survivors of both him and Golan Maxwell, among others. There are now several lawsuits pending against him. His estate and Virginia Roberts is still waging a battle against Prince Andrew, who she claims she had sex with when she was 17. He has always denied it. Well, he
has also paid a big fat ass settlement, didn't he? So look, again, another trip back in history to take a look at the people who were trying to safeguard Jeffrey Epstein and continue to help him and enable him along his criminal spree. So the question is, are any of these enablers who took part in all of this ever going to be called to account? I'm starting to have my doubts.
