Jeff Webb, Cheerleading Pioneer, Passes Away

Jeff Webb, the founder of Varsity Spirit and a key figure in modern cheerleading, has passed away at age 76. He died following a pickleball accident where he fell and suffered a severe head injury. Webb was rushed to the hospital but his family made the tough call to remove life support. The news came out in a cheer daily report on March 20th. He's poured in from the cheerleading world and beyond. Varsity Spirit shared memories of his lasting impact on Instagram while turning point USA remembered him as a visionary mentor who shaped young. Leaders Webb had a close bond with Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, whom he mentored. After Kirk was shot and killed at age 31 during his American comeback tour on September 10th, 2025, Webb went on Real Americas. Just to mourn him as a potential future president, his legacy lives on through his wife Gina.
