Jason Warn, Ep257

About this episode

Jason Warn is a Paramedic and entrepreneur who found himself as many first responders do, overweight, depressed, and checked out of life. It was here that he began a journey back to better physical and mental health. After finding he felt better, was more present in his family's and his own life, and a better paramedic for his patients, he began posting about his journey.
His message was one of positivity and personal accountability. In his posting, he used the word "fat" in reference to himself having been in fact fat and found fitness and it's benefits. He was advocating for health and wellness for first responders. He was fired from his job as a Paramedic for a hospital based EMS system because a co worker took offense to his using the word fat in his social media posts. Though not in reference to anyone specifically other than himself, his employment was terminated because someone got offended by him using the word.
In this conversation we take a deep dive in to his life, his journey to mental and physical health, and how he's responded to his termination with resilience and class.
