I'm Corey, and this is your entertainment pulse, entertainment and celebrity news today. Janice Dickinson is opening up about her days as a judge on America's next top model. She says the producers, led by Tyra Banks, pushed her to be much tougher and meaner, just like Simon Cowell on American Idol. That harsh style was pulling in huge ratings for shows like that back then. Dickinson explains they wanted her snarky comments to boost the drama and keep viewers hooked. That model drew inspiration from those competition formats, where cutting remarks became a big part of the appeal. She criticizes Banks for acting like a strict team mom, without really building up the contestants' confidence. Dickinson claims the young women left the show feeling depressed and worn out, while Banks made a fortune from it all. Dickinson got replaced on the panel by Twiggy in 2005, but popped up as a guest judge through 2006. After that, she starred in the surreal life on VH1 and had her own series, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, which ran from 2006 to 2008.
