Jameela's Journey: From Rejected to Loved Gorilla

A baby gorilla named Jamila made headlines two years ago when she was born prematurely through an emergency caesarian section at the Fort Worth Zoo. She was the third gorilla ever born there in over a century, but her birth mom rejected her right away. After two months of unsuccessful tries was surrogate moms at Fort Worth. Keepers transferred Jamila to the Cleveland Metro Park Zoo. There, she bonded quickly with a new surrogate named Freddie. Her story has touched a lot of people on mine. Much like the recent tale of Punch, the rejected baby McCack from a Japanese zoo. Folks love these heartwarming animal rescues that turn into family triumphs. These days, Jamila is fully part of her new gorilla troop. She plays endlessly with her big brother Kaimebe and little sister Kunda, who have become her best pals. Zoo staffs stay watching her hit all her two-year-old milestones and start training shows how well she's learning to socialize.
