Jacobson's Journey: From Student Manager to Gators' Director

0:00On March 21st, St. Petersburg native Jordan Jacobson serves as the director of basketball operations for the Florida Gators men's team. He's been with the programming gains wheel for five years now. After high school at Shorecress Preparatory School, he thought his basketball days were over, but he found his way back into the sport at his dream. School, the University of Michigan, there Jacobson joined the Wolverines as a student manager for three seasons, rising to head student manager by the end. The team made a sweet 16 run in 2019 and reached the elite in 2021. After graduating in 2021, he returned to Florida as a graduate assistant under coach Mike White. When Todd Goldin took over, Jacobson stayed on, proving his value during recruiting. He earned a master's degree in sport management, moved up to video coordinator, and last season got promoted just as the Gators claimed their third, national title.
