You're listening to Israel Today ongoing war report. I'm Noah Levi. On the diplomatic front, US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has firmly stated there are no plans for the force displacement of people from Gaza. Speaking on September 4th, Huckabee addressed recent proposals from Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz and Far-right Security Minister Eta Mar Ben Givia, who had floated ideas concerning the mass removal of Palestinians from the Gaza strip. Huckabee told reporters in Termis Aya, a Palestinian town in the West Bank. I can tell you categorically there is no plan of the Israelis to displace people out of Gaza against their will. He added that if people wish to leave, they should have the right to do so, emphasizing, nobody is suggesting that there will be forced displacement. The Israelis are not. The Americans are certainly not. Ambassador Huckabee's visit to the village, which has Palestinian American residents, was aimed at understanding the situation in the West Bank, where he also urged the Israeli government to ensure the safety and well-being of local residents, stating,

terror is a crime, and I do not support those who seize others' property. Turning to domestic affairs, the Jerusalem municipality has shut down a Shabbat coffee stand. Inspectors reportedly cited orders from higher up for the closure. The head of the Liberal Group hit or at commented that while violence closed another establishment, it failed to shut down Jerusalem, and in a different vein, we hear the personal stories of Muslim IDF combat soldiers. Including a female fighter, they've discussed their decision to enlist despite family opposition, how they navigate racist remarks, and the personal meaning their service holds. They also shared their comfort in singing Hattik for Israel's national anthem. I'm Noah Levi, thank you for listening to Israel Today ongoing war report. Stay safe and informed.
