Simon Holmes from score twice, Casey Sizzic as added one, and the Islanders jumped out to an early lead they never lost. David Ridditch was solid in net for New York, with 30 saves, helping secure their 3rd win in 4 games. For Calgary, Devon Cooley gave up 3 goals on just 10 shots in the first period before Dustin Wolf came in and stopped 17. The Flames have now dropped to 2 wins, 5 losses, and won overtime loss in their last 8 outings. Islanders fans can feel good about the momentum heading into a busy stretch. Holmes from goals came late in the first, including a shorthanded one, off a setup from John Gabriel Pazzo, putting New York up 3-0. Calgary fought back with goals from a Kyle Backland, and Blake Coleman in the 3rd, but it wasn't enough.
