Is your pastor responsible for the evil that has descended on America? This morning I watched an Interesting video with Eric Metaxas talking about his “Letter to the American Church.” He talked about the great civilized culture of Germany that allowed 6 million Jews to be killed, and fomented war on the world that killed another 20 million. Eric Metaxas lays it at the feet of the German pastors. Hitler told them, “Preach your little sermons in church, and that’s okay with me. I’ll take care of everything that goes on the outside.” And the German pastors obeyed, just like cowardly America’s pastors are obeying our government. Maybe pastors don’t want to lose her tax status - even though no church in America has ever lost its tax status. Pastors also point to Romans 13 that they have to “obey whatever the king dictates.” Of course, they severely misinterpreted Romans 13. If they really believe that, they will also believe that they’re supposed to pick up poisonous serpents! If they obey Romans 13, but won’t pick up poisonous serpents, you know you’ve got a cowardly pastor.
