Some of the strongest warnings Jesus gave weren't directed toward pagans or atheists, or people openly rejecting God. They were directed towards religious people. People who knew Scripture, people who attended worship, people who believed they were defending God, and that raises an uncomfortable question. Can something look holy, sound biblical, quote scripture even, and still pull us away from Christ? Today, Laura Baker and I are talking about something Christians often call the spirit of religion. But we're not going to assume we already know what that means, okay?

2:03Is it an actual spirit? Is it legalism? Is it pride? Is it control? Is it a religious system? Or can't, frankly, or can it be all of those things at the same time? And maybe the harder question is this. What happens when the person operating under religious deception genuinely believes they are serving God? Folks, this is our new show. This is Testing the Spirits with Laura Baker and Benetan. Laura, welcome to our first episode. How are you? Yay! Thank you, Bennett. I think this is going to be very fun for us and very educational for the folks because for those who do not know me, I am a deliverance minister and the Lord taught me.

3:03I was not taught by people in the church. It was the Holy Spirit who taught me and how spirits work. I had my own personal testimony that started me on the road of it because I did not know what happened to me. And the Lord broke it all down. He showed it to me. And so when Bennett brought this idea up, I had literally just prayed to the Lord the night before and said, I'm willing to teach on these things, but I don't know how to, I don't want to do shows and all of it. I don't know how to do all that. And then Bennett calls me the next morning and says, hey, I have a proposition for you. So here we are. And you guys are getting ready to learn about spirits. However often we do this. So, okay. So spirit of religion, you want me to just start getting inside? Yeah, what exactly does that mean? Like when you say that spirit of religion, what exactly do you mean? Okay, there is a spirit of religion. And yes, it does absolutely involve pride.

4:05It can involve anything that's going to keep you from the truth. The word of God and what it truly means will be spirits like pride, like religion, like rebellion. And you will think you're right, but these spirits are really affecting you. So whenever in the apocryphan, the book of Jubilee's, it talks about, it literally says that spirits have dominion over the thoughts of men's hearts. And in the Bible, it tells us to cast down vain imaginations and high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. So that tells you all the thoughts that come into your head are not yours because you need to challenge some of them. And the only way to challenge them is if you're reading the Bible. If you're reading the Bible, then you can say that's not from God. That's not what God says. Because we are a three-part being body-soul in spirit and we have two natures. We have a flesh nature that where our brain is being used,

5:06the carnal mind, which is at enmity with God, and then you have a spiritual nature, which is your spirit. And if you are born again and you have confessed Jesus with your mouth, that spirit is connected to the Holy Spirit, is connected to the Spirit of God, is connected to the highest kingdom, it's connected to angels that harken when you speak, it's connected to the whole kingdom, okay? To Jesus to, you know, and the word of God will always oppose what the world is saying because the world is run by the God of this world. And it tells you that in 2 Corinthians 4.4. And John 14, 30, and John 16, 11, and some other places. But the God running the world is the devil and the God running that's running your spirit if you're a Christian is the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ and the Father and the Holy Spirit. So you have to challenge the thoughts that come into your head

6:08and even Paul, and I'm gonna use Paul as an example, when Paul, who was a Pharisee of a Pharisee, he was, he's very studied, learned man of the Torah, right? He was a Pharisee, he studied under Gamileal, which was one of the highest Pharisees. He knew the word, but he didn't know Jesus Christ at all. And when he met Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, his spiritual condition manifested physically. He was blind, spiritually blind, because he was killing Christians, right? And then it physically manifested, okay? And then he goes blind, he goes for three days, he's eating no food, no drink. And it tells you that he is crying out to God, to says he's praying to God. And so God sends a servant to go lay hands on him. And when this servant does, it tells you something like scales fell from his eyes.

7:09What is that? That is the serpentine spirit of religion. And that is how people with that spirit on them view everything. So they're not seeing truth, they're saying it's jaded. They're saying it through the lens of that spirit. Okay, so how, the question is, how do you get that spirit on you? The short answer is agreement. It's always about agreement, because everything in the spirit realm runs judicially. Everything. That's why you see in the word, everywhere you see words like testimony, witness, adversary, advocate, judge of all. I mean, there's tons of words that are all judicial. Judgment, I mean, all of these words are judicial words. Even the name Satan. Yes, adversary, there you go. That's what he is. That's exactly what he is. And Jesus is our advocate.

8:11And so when you look at all these court terms, and it even says when you come to the Lord, you boldly come before the throne. And we enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Is talking about a legal system, his courts, where you get justice, where you get righteousness. And there's all these parables about, if the unjust judge will give this woman something because she won't quit pestering him, how much more will the righteous judge? He's the righteous judge. Okay, so when you understand that, you understand it's not about how much you beg God. And while that can help, if you're really asking and asking and asking God, but it's really about a legal system. It's really about what is in place for something to happen. Okay, there's a scripture that says, the causeless curse cannot alight. What does that mean?

9:11It means when someone speaks a curse over you, if it has a legal right to land on you, it can. If it does not have a legal right to land on you, because of what's in your bloodline, because of open doors to sin, because of things that your ancestors have done and have never had the blood of Jesus applied to it, which atoned for that sin and removed that legal right for the enemy to function against you, then it cannot land. But if it can, it can. And that's why people that have a spirit of death attached to their bloodline, if say they get in a fight with someone and when they're leaving, the person goes, well, I hope you die on the way home. And then they do, they get in a car wreck and they die. And it's because life and death, the power of life and death is in our tongue. And I mean, life and death is in the power of your tongue. So we have to be careful first of all, what we say, what comes out of our mouth, because if we're speaking negative things about people, and they have legal rights for these curses

10:13to land on them, they can. They can. And we don't wanna do that to the body of Christ, because we're all one, we're all unified as one. We're all part of the same body, right? And Jesus is waiting for us to come to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, because remember when he says the Son of God has nowhere to lay his head. And you think, well, that's kind of a weird thing to say. He's got a traveling ministry, so you think of it in that way. He has nowhere to lay his head, but what he's talking about is he doesn't have a body form to fit. Because over the last 2000 years, that's what we've been doing. The body has been forming. So the body of Christ is coming to collectively. I mean, it's an individual process too, but collectively as a group, we are coming to a measure of the stature, the fullness of Christ. We know who we are, we know our identity, we know spiritual warfare. We have somewhere for him to put his head, because he's the head and we're the body.

11:13And he needs somewhere to lay his head. Well, he can do that with proper representatives. So you always kick that in mind of who you are, and who you're representing. Okay. OK, so the last thing you want is a spirit of religion on you that's going to skew the way you view things. You want to see everything pure. And when you go into Catholicism, Jehovah Witness, Mormonism, a lot of these things, they have oaths and vows that you take. You make oaths and vows. You pledge your allegiance to these groups.

13:15I mean, the Catholic religion flat out states that they're above, you know, they are the vicar of Christ. They're the stand-in for Christ while he's not here. And then they even elevate themselves above them and say, well, we can change the Sabbath and we can do whatever we want. And the very fact that we can do that is the proof that we're the ones running everything. Well, they are running everything for the God of this world. And so is every other religion. That's why there's 50 different flavors or 100 different flavors. There's tons of religion. So many different flavors. And then there's the truth. Yeah. It's like an ice cream shop. Pick your flavor. He don't care. Everyone is going to identify with their religion. Well, I'm Church of Christ and that's the way I believe. And we believe that we're the only ones going to heaven. But not y'all. We believe in this. Y'all don't believe in that. And it's not like that. It's the requirement is faith in Jesus Christ, period. So when the Hebrew roots people get caught up in legalism

14:17or any other group gets caught up in legalism and they're like, you better not be in pork. You better not. You better not be in that pork. The question is, why not? Or what? Or what? I lose my salvation. See, because I got off into legalism for three years. And I didn't eat pork. And the Lord had me buy it. I could hear him. I could hear the Lord very well because I used to spend a ton of time with him. And I still do not as much as I used to. But I used to spend up six hours a day in a prayer closet with him. And I loved it. And I wish my life was still like that. But he said, I know I do. I do. I long for that. But he said, by pork, he was telling me by the pork. And I was like, I don't understand why you're telling. I've gone three years. I haven't eaten pork for three years. Why are you telling me to do this? And I didn't understand it.

15:17So when I went to the store and I was in the meat section, he said, get the pork. Get the pork. Get the pork. Get the pork. Like over and over and over. Until I was like, OK, I don't under. Why are you making me do this? I don't understand. So I just thought, I'm going to just throw it in the basket. I'm going to put it in the freezer when I get home. And when I got home, he said, cook it. Cook the pork. Cook the pork. What kind of pork was it? It was those thin pork chops. My grandma used to make them. Oh, yeah. And you sear them on both sides. Oh, my gosh. I love them because I grew up on them. My grandma used to make them. And you sear them on both sides. And this is gross, but I like ketchup on them. Because that's how I ate them as a kid. So. No shame on that. Yeah, ketchup makes things better. I mean, if it was a steak, I'd be like, meh. I probably shouldn't do that. But. Yeah, my husband thinks I'm gross. He's like that. You should put A1 on that. But now I like ketchup. And so I put the ketchup on there.

16:18And literally when I put it in my mouth, I could hear like a chorus of angels singing. Freedom, freedom, freedom. And I thought. That's how I feel that every time I eat bacon. Right. Which is about the only part that I eat anymore. So. Yeah. Yeah. And I know pork is not good for you. But do you believe that you're blessing when you're blessing your food? Is it sanctified? You know, because I say, blessed is as nourishment to our bodies. Cleans and sanctified in Jesus name. It's you're either believing what you're praying or you're not. And. That's what when these people that are still caught up in that stuff, when I ask them, or what, they can't answer me. Or what do I lose my salvation? Am I not going to make heaven? Is there a special place in heaven for the sinners like me who ate pork? Or did Jesus really say it is finished and he did it all? I mean, you know, you get your caught. And so your caught in legalism.

17:19And the Lord was showing me honey, your caught up in legalism. If you don't want to eat pork, that's fine. But I was doing it because I thought I had to. So the motive of your heart is what matters. And it tells you in the New Testament that two people can do the same thing. A spirit of religion is when the things of God become a substitute for actually knowing God. Yes. Yes. You're making it about works. You're turning it into a service. You're making it about works. You're making it about performance. And I've said, I just said this recently on another show for those of you because I was a performer, straight A student, smart kid, and all the thing. And then when you have issues of rejection, whatever from childhood, you use those kind of things to perform to get brownie points with your parents or whoever you want to love you, right?

18:19Okay. For those people who are performers and their achievement oriented, they're guided that way. They're driven that way. There is nothing you have to do to make God love you more than he already had today. Heaven points, right? Heaven point right. There's no, he loves being it as much as he loves me. He loves me as much as he loves my husband. Matter of fact, he dealt with me on that because I thought he loved me more than my husband because my husband wasn't serving him the way I was. Whenever I'm my first, my walk first started. And I was raking. And I was under my breath. It was in my head. And then it was coming out my mouth. I was speaking negative things about him. So lazy. He just helped me. He just said, don't eat things. You know, and I'm going to town and the Lord had just taught me about my words the day before. And that rake popped out of my hand and it smacked me across the face hard.

19:20It hurt. And I go, oh. And then and I wasn't thinking anything about my husband, but I heard the Holy Spirit and I heard the grief in his voice. And it goes, I love him like that. I mean, with so much grief in his voice, I started bawling. I mean, I instantly started bawling. And so the Holy Spirit can get your attention. And he's usually soft and gentle and a gentleman, but he had had it with me in my mouth. And he had just taught me about the power that I carry out of my mouth and to love people. And then there I was the next day just bashing my husband. I always say he's like a counselor, right? He has got the voice of a counselor and, you know, just like a guy. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. He's the nice one. He's the nice one. I think this is what I think. That's what I really think. You know, Jesus said, it's okay if you bash me and it's okay if you bash the father,

20:24but if you bash the Holy Spirit, you're done, right? Okay, I'm paraphrasing, but it says, but essentially that's what he said. That's essentially what he says. Yeah, you that you're that's you're that's the unforgivable sin. And the reason I think is because the Holy Spirit is so loving and so kind and gentle and so such a good teacher and counselor. He's not forceful. He allows you to go at your pace, but if you can't, if you're going to say something against someone that is like that, what is what's wrong with you? You know, someone who's always kind, giving, loving, gentle, nurturing, comforting, and you're going to bash him. Yeah, there's that is unforgivable because that's the definition out of out of the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.

21:25That's the nicest one you're going to get. So don't mess that up. You know, it's like the love is like rejecting the love of a mother, you know, and I don't want to say that the Holy Spirit is a mother and female and, you know, the all this female stuff that's coming out. Yeah, I'm not taking it there. The divine feminine, but the divine feminine. Yeah, the fake one. I'm not taking it there. But that's the other thing that I want to say before you get before you go even deeper is I would also make one clarification on what we're talking about is during, is that religion itself isn't automatically bad. And James want, right? James, especially James, I said, 127, like actually speaks of pure religion and undefiled before God, something like that, something on those lines. So the issue isn't simply religion versus relationship.

22:26The deeper issue is the true deviation versus corrupted or the devotion. I said deviation issue is true devotion versus corrupted devotion. That's right. That's exactly right. And I tell people that they can recognize it like this. Religion is anything your church or your institution is doing. That's not in the word because if they're doing it and it's not in there, where did they get it from? They got it from man. And these are man, just what you said, it's a, it's a, what was the word you used? Deviation was the word you used to use. It's a devotion. It's the difference between true devotion and, um, there you go. Oh, God, something like that. It is. And it is a devotion to what man, man's, uh, because think about, okay, I'm, I'm just going to use the capital. The devotion that's the word. There you go.

23:27It is corrupted. So when you go into it, a church, I'm just using Catholic because I was raised Catholic. And you, there's a little, um, bowl of water, uh, attached to the wall and you dip your hand in it in its holy water. And then you do the sign of the cross. Okay, where is that in the Bible? You dip it in holy water and you do the sign of the cross. Okay. That's not in there. It tell the Catholic religion tells you to go confess your sins to a priest. The Bible tells you to come and confess your sins to God straight, come boldly before the throne or confess your sins one to another. If you've got a beef with a, with a brother or sister in Christ, go, you know, go confess and tell, tell them, I'm sorry, I was wrong. So, um, you know, the veil was written too for that reason. So they have the, the Catholic religion tells, teaches their people that they, they are not to read the Bible that the, the Catholic church will interpret it for them because they don't have the ability to understand it. Uh, that's not what the Bible says.

24:28The Bible says that you have need not that any man teach you, that the Holy Spirit will teach you, the loving one that we were just talking about, who's a very good teacher and counselor. So, um, and who taught me, that's how I know all this stuff. So there's just a lot of contradictions in the Bible that, um, that that religion does. So where are they getting all this doctrine that they're coming up with? That's the question. And you could do the same thing with the job of a witness and the same thing with the Mormons. And you find out that they have their own books that they go by. The, the Jews, you've got the, you know, it's Judaism. Judaism is nothing like the truth of the Bible. They don't even, you really use the Bible. They use the Talmud and then they skew the verses in the Bible to suit what they believe. So it is a corruption. You're exactly right. It's a corruption. And so Paul, who had scales on his eyes, he saw the scriptures through the lens of Judaism

25:29and, and that was a serpentine spirit. Um, I know people that cannot pray in tongues because of that spirit. And as soon as they renounce religion and repent for coming into agreement with the spirit of religion and allowing that those scales to be put on them and they renounce it and put it under the blood of Jesus, bam, they can instantly pray in tongues. They're able to. Same thing with witchcraft, same thing with unforgiveness. Those are two other spirits that will keep you from, from receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit. And for people that think, let me just touch on that real quick because some people go, well, I was a new creation when I was born again. So I have the Holy Spirit. No. That is being sealed by the Holy Spirit. That is not being filled by the Holy Spirit with the gift of tongues because there's a scripture that says, if you being evil, know how to give good gifts to your own children, how much more will I give the Holy Spirit to those who ask?

26:29So this is another work of the Holy Spirit that you have to ask for. And so, um, so just like, you know, that guy, Thomas said, bro, grove that we prayed for and he gave his life to the Lord. Well, my prayer for him now is for the Lord to send someone to water, baptize him and get him filled with the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the one who has the power to overcome the sin that we ourselves do not have the power to overcome. And so you need that. That's what's missing in the church largely. And so they're sitting around with spirits of religion on them thinking they've got it all right. And they're, they're missing the main aspect, which is being filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in truth and power and strength. Big difference. When we, when we say spirit of religion, are we actually talking about like, say a demon? Mm-hmm. Yep. Absolutely. Just to clarify. Just to clarify. Strong one. Yes, it is. Just to clarify. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because when I do deliverance, you know, I can break that off and command it to come out.

27:31And when you renounce Catholicism, that's a spirit that, yes, they are absolutely spirits. And they are very strong. The spirit of religion is one of the worst ones you can have. It is extremely strong because you, you feel, you feel justified in what you know. And that pride will keep it locked in place. You're not going to listen to anybody because you've got it right. You know, you're a pastor's daughter or you've been in church your whole life, you know, or whatever. And you've learned. Self-righteousness. Self-righteousness. Exactly. Self-righteousness. And it opens the door for all these other spirits to come in, pride, self-righteousness, all of that stuff. And it's all up in there and you can't see. You can't, so I just tell people, go before the Lord, repent. False doctrine is another spirit. It is a spirit. For spirit of religion, come into agreement with it. For receiving false doctrine. For come into agreement with pride or anything that opposes or hinders you from seeing and

28:36hearing the truth of the Word. And then, and you tell me, put it under the blood and then take authority over those spirits, break their power and cast them out. And you tell me if your life don't change. I know it does because it did mine. It absolutely did. It does with the people that I, that I, that I, so like when Jesus is telling the Pharisees, you bunch of hypocrites. That's another spirit that goes right along with it. They're hypocrites and they're religious. They were religious. They're caught up in legalism. They think that the way to enter heaven was for them to know and dictate the scriptures. Well, the law never saved anyone. It tells you that. That's not true. That's a tradition. I mean, that's where he rebuked those the Pharisees, right? And with, especially with Mark in Mark 7. Oh my gosh.

29:37Six. Yeah, he said he told the Pharisees. Yeah, I think it starts in Mark 6, right? Mark 6. Yeah. I know it's in Mark, but he tells them, you do love your traditions, don't you? It nullifies the word of God. So you got to pick, do you want your traditions or do you want the word of God? You're going to have to choose. Yeah, they go, they go hand in hand. But like, okay, so like another group that you see these days is called the NAR, the new apostolic reformation. Yeah. Okay. They, that's a spirit of religion. Yeah, different of them. And they promote Zionism. They promote all of this devotion, funds, service, prayers, support of fake Israel. And if anybody's looked at any of my stuff, I backed that up. Okay. So you can, if you're a supporter of the Zionist state of Israel that was created by the Roth Childs, you need to do some homework and some research to figure out and to see you are

30:42supporting the synagogue of Satan. I didn't say that Jesus did and it's in Revelation 2.9 and Revelation 3.9. And when you look at where these Edamite, Ashkenazi Jews come from, they're not even Semites. They're literally not Semites. These are Ashkenazi Jews that run the world. They run the world and I proved that in my videos, the Serpent Seed series. And lots of other people do too. I mean, lots of people that cover the stuff, see what it is. And it tells you in Genesis 10, verses 1, 3, 3, that Ashkenazi comes out of J.P. It doesn't even come out of Shem. They are not Hebrew. They are imposterous. And they are the synagogue of Satan. And they've got tons of Christians donating money, prayers, and everything else for Mass genocide. And their ideology of a supremist mindset to control the world. And that's exactly where they're headed with things. So you're on the wrong side if you're into Zionism and you support Zionism and you support

31:46ministries like the NAR people are all people that are pushing the Zionist agenda. So you've got like the giving 15 guy, whatever his name is, and Blue Angle and all these folks that are, they're in lockstep with Trump. And they love fake Israel. And they are into Zionism and they are into helping these synagogue of Satan with rolling out the Noah Hyde laws, which are going to call for the decapitation of Christians, which you and I did a show on that. I don't know if you've posted it yet, but yeah, people, okay, soon, okay, good. People need to see that because it's coming for us. It's going to be persecution on the Christians worldwide and death by decapitation unless you renounce Jesus Christ. So you tell me, are those real Hebrews? No, they're not. The Hebrews, the real body of Christ, the real chosen people are those that are in Christ.

32:54And it tells you that Romans 9, 8 in Galatians 3, 29. And those are the people that are over there getting killed. So your Palestinians, your Gossens, your Syrians, now Lebanese, and it's just going to keep on going until they reach the borders of what they, what they wear on their uniforms called greater Israel. And it's from the Nile all the way to the Euphrates. So you can expect to see the boogeyman that they're chasing over there supposedly going to Egypt and probably Jordan. And they're going to be taken all that territory based on the Bible and the Christians who are in lockstep with all this and have a spirit of religion on them, on the scales on their eyes. They're supporting it and they're backing it and it is nowhere in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus never tells us to kill anyone. Never. Never. And matter of fact, whenever I was, whenever I was in a sick bed with a lot of pain, I

33:57cried out to the Lord and I asked him, what is going on? Is this witchcraft? And he said, there's a judgment against you. And I said, okay, what is it? Did I tell you this before? Bennett. I don't think so. Okay. And I said, what is it? And he said, don't you know they know how to boom a ring too? And I knew exactly what that meant because what I used to do, when I used to pray years ago, I would boom a ring, the curses of witches that were intended for the body of Christ. I would boom a ring those curses back on them sevenfold that they would know there was a power higher than the one they serve and it would bring them to the feet of Jesus. Okay. My intentions might have been good, but we don't curse people. And that was why there was a judgment against me because it says, bless those who curse you. I mean, bless those who persecute you and the Lord kept telling me that scripture over and over. And I was like, I know the scripture and he kept telling me, look it up.

35:00Look it up. And I finally did. And I didn't know the last part of it. It said, bless those that persecute you. Bless and do not curse. That's why I had the judgment against me. And the enemy was coming after me because I was getting involved in helping a friend, a therapist friend do SRA. I don't know if you've ever heard this, but new levels, new devils. So they thought, oh, she's going to come up in here. We're going to come after her. And so I had that judgment against me. I had to repent. The Lord showed me those scriptures. Then he started cross referencing and show me all the other ones where it says, we as citizens of a kingdom, it's real. You're really a citizen of a kingdom. We do not even have the right to judge unbelievers. They are, they are part of another kingdom. They are still under the kingdom of Satan. We don't have the right to judge them. So I was judging them. I was turning curses on them. All of that is in the gospel of Jesus Christ and the law that we follow is a law of love.

36:03And so we turn the other cheek. We bless those that curse us. We bless those that persecute us. Pray for those that persecute us. We don't turn our guns on them and kill other people just because they're not a Christian. And so we don't get it. And even unbelievers. Now we can judge each other, but it's in love. It says it has to be in love. So if I see you doing something that's not right, and I would come to you as a brother, hey, you know, in love and tell you, hey, you got to come out of that. And you'd probably say, I know, I know the Holy Spirit's already convicted me. I got to come out of it. So that's how it works. That's how the law works when it comes to judging and cursing other people. And it can put a judgment on us. And if you have spirits of religion, you don't see any of that because churches don't teach any of this stuff. They don't even understand how this stuff works, which is why we're doing this show, which

37:04is why I've got a part in it. That doesn't mean you can't protect yourself. No, no, protecting yourself is absolutely right. Absolutely. That's self-defense. No, I'm just saying because a lot of people use that as a weapon against us. Oh, you're supposed to turn the other cheek. If I'm being attacked, I couldn't defend myself. And I'm talking about literally physically. So yeah. Yep. And we can also call on our kingdom. There's more of us than there are of them. So we can call on our kingdom for help. And when people die, good people die. And everybody's like, why? You know, why? I want to be gentle about this because people get mad about it. But it's because of all of these open doors that we have. And things in our bloodline and liquidy and the bloodline were born with the liquidy and our bloodline. It's because of these not being dealt with, which is my ministry, cleansing your bloodline.

38:06It's what it's all about. You're what they have increased to throwing away from you. Need to wipe away your bloodline Gar Ji. And actors equal that. Marately, women are performing those open doors for the enemy to legally afflict. And when good people die. That means it's in there. He says it. My people perish due to a lack of knowledge. They don't understand how this works. But that door is still open. That sin has never been confessed and put under the blood. That door has never been closed and sealed shut with the blood of Jesus. It's the finished work of the cross is the answer. But those things have to be dealt with. You don't just, you don't get to do a blanket prayer when you come to the Lord and say, I repent for all my sins and put them under the blood of Jesus and then you're done. How did that ever educate you? You would just keep doing the wrong things over and over. No, the Holy Spirit is a sanctification process and He spends a lifetime

39:07cleaning you up and teaching you. Remember when you used to do this? That needs to be confessed and put under the blood. Even though you don't do it anymore, you still need to confess it, put acknowledged. This is sin and it's simply you coming out of agreement with the world and coming into agreement with the living God and put confess it, put it under the blood, ask Him to forgive you and wash you clean according to 1 John 1 9. Then you can take authority over that spirit, cast it out and remove it, close the door and seal it shut and you're done. It's that simple. We have to do these things. This has continued work too. This is not just necessarily a one and done because sometimes those bonds are strong and you've got to, yes they all, you have to continue your slurs. Those are all turns. You have to continuously fight. This isn't like I get to cleanse it all and then I'm done for the rest of my life. It's not how this works. Sorry, that's not it. I think one of those things like I've been, one of the things I've

40:11heard lately and I want to see how you, if you agree with this or see if this is true in your understanding is that part of why we're here is this is this life is a test and part of it is a test on how much how much we are we willing to be a warrior for the faith for God and fighting the darkness and that if we, you know, that this that's an ongoing fight obviously until the end until Jesus comes and takes care of all of it. This is a fight that we're in all the time considering and this is where we get you and I have talked about this extensively is like we God, he controls everything but he has relinquished the control of this earth to Satan to the Hossitan to this to

41:14the Prince of the air whatever name you want to call him and so we are steeped in this battle in this war and that's just how it is folks you either accept it or you don't and if you just continue to go on with life you know you're you're because I don't want to be like no you're not a good Christian or you're not whatever and some people just they I just think that people need to understand that their purpose is bigger than what they even know and that's part of it. Yes, yes and they you're you're hitting on it you are hitting on it that is the problem is that the devil has no problem with you going to church being a member at a church because he's can he's got you connected all the way down to the level. Yeah because because through membership churches have membership churches are most of them are 501c3 they're connected to the government and every bit of that allows

42:17the enemy to legal right to function in those churches in those buildings and in those people all the way down to an individual level because it's all connected through through contracts, covenants, oaths and vows and I write about that my works. It's an open door. That's right God never said you need a 501c3 so that you can save your tax money. He never told us hey if you're going to give you know or sew into something you should do it and expect something back. No you either give fully with an open heart and a joyful heart give 100% don't expect anything in return. That's what's in the Bible and in the Lord told me he even showed me on that he said and we ought to do a show on the spirit agreed and finances and how that all works. Oh we will but he said I have that's a huge one too. Okay we'll do it. That's a big one but he told me I had to pay taxes and I said oh my gosh you did and he said and how did I do it did I get a tax cut did I get a 501c3

43:19did I you know ask for 10% back do you know to turn it and he said no how did I do it and I said wow I said you asked the Holy Spirit and Holy Spirit said have Peter go fishing and the first fish he catches I'll have your tax money in his mouth and he and God knows where the treasure is he just had a fish scoop it up off the sea floor and bring it right to him he didn't need any short cuts he didn't need to make any deals with the devil he didn't need a bribe that's what the 501c3 is it's a bribe and it tells you in the Old Testament that God hates a bribe he hates a bribe so as we're the citizens of the higher kingdom so you're right Satan is running this world however we as citizens if you're born again if you've confessed Jesus with your mouth you are a citizen of a higher kingdom than him and he can't do anything that you don't allow but we allow a ton of it because we listen to what the world says because we don't understand how this works

44:20exactly and we open doors for contracts covenants oats agreements vows whenever I first went to a church I had been reading my Bible for I don't know six months or something and they go well we would love for you to be a member here and they took me off to the side to get me to be a member and the first thing I said was where's that in the Bible and they go well well miss Baker it's nowhere it's not in there but we like to do that for accountability and I was like I don't need you to I don't need anything to make me accountable I'm accountable to Jesus Christ and if he tells me to come here I'm gonna come here I don't need somebody else to I don't need to put my name on a piece of paper and form some kind of agreement within this institution that I don't know anything about yet and and I figured even I figured that out in the beginning of my walk so when he started telling me about legal systems and how all this stuff works it clicked for me right away I was like yeah our kingdom the highest kingdom why are we making taking bribes and shaking hands and making

45:23deals with a lower kingdom no we're not doing that no I'm gonna keep my position and then you can walk and strengthen power and so here's what like when you see people in ministries and they start off great they start off great they man they're getting stuff from the throne room they they love the Lord they are immersed in the Word they're fantastic revelation and then they get really big they get really popular and then something happens to them and they're off teaching doctrines that are completely off right well you know what happens to them they went and made deals to get tv shows they went and made deals and the devil knows how it works so he always goes after those people because they're anointed so he goes after them and once they make that deal that you'll never see me making any deals nope I won't be signing on any piece of paper I won't be doing contracts I don't need to I don't need to I'm already positioned higher so I'm not making contracts with anybody and Christians don't need to do that so it is part of legalism it is part of what brings those

46:26scales on your eyes and the the enemy that serpentine spirit is legally allowed to do it because you have free will and you gave your free will and came into a contract a covenant an oath an agreement some kind of agreement a vow you gave your word and and and I can't even show you in the Bible the stories that demonstrate this very thing so in Joshua 9 Joshua and then we're getting right they're going into the promise land right and they've taken they have taken Jericho and AI and all the inhabitants of the land are freaked out because they already know they they killed Sihan and Ag the giants they already know that they're taking these territories and they know they're this God that they have is kicking button taking names and they're going to take this territory so there's this group called the Ghibbi andites and they're like okay they're going to come kill us so we better come up with a plan so they put on old clothes and they put patches on them they put patches on their shoes

47:30they get old moldy bread and they go they go up to Joshua and they say hey we're we're foreigners from real far away look we got moldy bread and tattered clothes and everything was hot and warm that coming out of the oven when we left but look we've been we've come a long ways because we've heard about your God and we want to just submit ourselves a slaves to you and make a make a league with us make a covenant with us okay well Joshua messed up he didn't consult God and find out that they were lying and he went he did he went into covenant with the Ghibbi andites okay okay so when you know that knowledge and then you trace this into the Bible covenants are major we need to do a show on covenants so I can show people how major our God the distinctive character is sick of our God that makes him different than any false God is he is a God of covenant he is a covenant keeping God that's who he is so they went into covenant Israel went into covenant with the Ghibbi

48:33they find out three days later that they're lying and they said you lied to us and they're like yeah we know we know you're gonna come kill us and like wear your slaves we'll do whatever just don't kill us and you're hey hey you made the you made the covenant and they have to keep it because they made it they made an oath unto God okay so fast forward you go into like second Samuel 20 or 21 I think a second Samuel 21 David is king okay so Saul has already been king and now David's king and they're having a a drought and a famine for three years and David goes before the Lord and he says what's going on like why why is this happening and the Lord says it's because of Saul and his blood thirsty house and they killed the Ghibbi andites they went after the Ghibbi andites to sponge them from the land okay why does that matter because there's a covenant with these people and by extension

49:34Israel's God who they are in covenant with by extension that covenant is extended to the Ghibbi andites because we are responsible of every covenant we make that includes employment education where you got to get your education your marriage I don't care what kind of partnership it is you're responsible for looking at those things okay so so he says oh oh it's from Saul okay because apparently Saul went after them in a war he tried to completely wipe them out so David goes to the Ghibbi andites and says hey what can we do to make this right because the Ghibbi andites are crying out to God they're crying out to God saying um he tried to kill us he's trying to go and we're under your covenant where under your covering Lord and and the Lord was doing something about it because they're in covenant it's all about covenant and so they said um we don't want silver and gold is not going to cut it that's not going to cut it from Saul's house we want seven of Saul's descendants

50:34we want to hang them and then we'll be that that'll that'll that'll that'll suffice so David goes and gets two of Saul's sons from his concubine and then five of his grandsons and they hang them they they get he hands them over they had to pay for the sins of Saul and he hands him over they hang these guys and after they hang them uh Rizpa who is the concubine she's beaten the birds off of the carcasses for like six months she's sleeping out there by him and everything I can't even imagine and it moved David's heart and and it prompted him to go get the bones of Saul and Jonathan where they died and more and then go get the bones of all these descendants and to give them a proper burial and once that atonement and that justice was satisfied then the the drought and the famine was lifted done that is about covenant and you've got to follow that through the stories

51:37to see that the laws it's all it's all about law it's all judicial yeah and when you're in religion and you're just going to church and Mormon a pew you don't get any of that you don't see that no no like the the thing that we have to like I see this in our community and the podcasting and like you know our community for what we do yeah is that that the same thing a lot of times I can see where people it happens with the religious leaders especially they seeking status and recognition right they they come under that you know it also criticizes people who perform religious acts to be seen and honored by others right I think that's Matthew 23 but that's all part of this too this this really the spirit of religion it kind of all goes hand in hand it does it does that's why he told that you just don't realize did the like tendrils

52:47yes there's tentacles that reach out but when you understand when you get a good foundation on how things operate in the spirit and then it's judicial and it got it got handles everything legally because he's never ever going to compromise his own righteousness for our ignorance he will not do that and we have to get these things figured out and we're representing him and how do we properly do that if we're in league and in covenants and contracts where a bunch of worldly stuff worldly people we we we can't do it we we just lowered ourselves and that's why the devil will always seek to do covenants so like when the Pope okay like this movement of ecumenicism that's out now all religions you know coming together what did the Pope do this was Pope Francis and starting in like 2010 I think he started going around and he started making covenants

53:47contracts with the Muslims with the Hindus with the heads of all these even the evangelicals and making making covenants with them they were literal contracts that even the Mormons he did it with the Mormons I cover all of this stuff in my videos with the Mormons he went to each group and he got them to sign in so think about this now okay think about how this system is set up you've got a head person of every type of religion coming together with signed agreements for peace suppose a piece um and you you're like there's a Baptist convention you're part of that Baptist church as a member it's all connected through agreements all the way down to the individual level and this ecumenical movement with a spirit of religion people can't see it and they think oh yeah we're all on on different journeys or different paths to the same God no we're not no we're not

54:51no man comes to the Father but through the Son it's through Jesus Christ's period so we're not all on these you know these different paths or these these different walks coming to the same God they're all going to the other God everybody through Jesus Christ is going to the real God and we do not compromise we do not see that's called interfaith that's what they call that ecumenical movement interfaith moral law they're changing it into what's called moral law and they're and they're rolling it out they're rolling it out through education to educate everybody that's part of the Noah Hyde Law stuff and it's that's why the Noah Hyde Laws are it's Bill 102-14 under the education day bill because they need everybody to be educated on look there's there's you can be whatever religion you want to just not that Christian one you have to renounce him and become part of us or we have to off with your head we have to cut off your head why why they need to cut your head off just because we're a benevolent kind loving group of people that pray for others

55:57and bless those that curse us and turn the other cheek why we're not out trying to kill anybody but that's the only group that we're going off because that's the only group that's real it's the only one that's true and it tells you in John 16 13 that the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth and he will guide you into all truth and it tells you that Jesus is the way the truth and the life so if you want the truth you just read your Bible is that simple yeah no man comes to put that ecumenical movement that is the one world religion that they're putting together and that'll be the product of this this ecumenical movement to bring all religions together that's what it is talk about spirit of religion yeah yeah there's not many ways to God there's one way yeah wow yeah all right I want to kind of think this is a good place to land this for a first episode yeah oh yeah it's probably a lot for people to oh because the the danger with a topic like this is the

56:58spirit of religion right is that it is very very easy to listen to this conversation and immediately start thinking about somebody else right right right right but you know whether it's a church we left or a pastor we disagree with or a denomination that we just don't trust or you know I you goes on and on and on but maybe I want people to focus and maybe the harder question is whether any of this has taken root in you in us are we more concerned about appearing righteous than actually being transformed or are we defending traditions because they're biblical that's the whole pork right or simply because they're familiar even right are we correcting people because we love them or because being right makes us feel superior that's this is what we're talking
