• Ursidae: The bear family including the giant panda, sun bear, sloth bear, spectacled bear, American black bear, Asiatic black bear, brown bear (including grizzly and Kodiak), cave bear, and the polar bear.
• Sesamoid: A long piece of wrist bone that creates a false thumb, like a sixth finger, in a panda’s paw that they use for grasping and holding.
