Al-Jazeera Podcasts Iran confirms the death of its top security official on the commander of the internal security force. They both died in Israeli airstrikes. And the top U.S. counterterrorism official resigns accusing Israel of dragging Washington into the war. Iran has confirmed the death of two top officials killed by Israeli airstrikes on Tehran. It's one of the biggest blows to the Iranian leadership since the U.S. and Israel began attacking Iran two and a half weeks ago, starting a war that's turned the region into chaos. Well, Iranian state media announced that security chief Ali Larajani was killed. He'd been a central figure during the war, second only, to the Supreme Leader. Also killed.
