I'm Cory with the story, bringing you the latest from around the world. Three private planes parked at Ben-Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv suffered severe damage from debris of Iranian missiles intercepted by Israeli air, defenses. The Israel Air Force Authority reported this on Wednesday, March 18th, noting the incidents happened over the past few days. They did not name the owners of the aircraft. This comes amid escalating tensions that started with U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran back on February 28th. Those attacks prompted Iran to fire missiles at Israel, leading to ongoing exchanges. Commercial flights have been halted at Israel's main air gateway since then, severely impacting travel. Israeli carriers have run special flights to bring stranded citizens home from abroad. Meanwhile, the airport has seen limited outbound operations and heavy use by Israeli and U.S. military forces. Officials note that about half of the Iranian missiles entering Israeli airspace carry cluster munitions. These break open midair and scatter hundreds of small bomblets over wide areas, raising
risks from falling debris. We'd like to thank our sponsor for making this episode possible. Your bedtime ritual just got better. built in sound, built in comfort, solypillo.com
