Welcome to the Animal Communication Podcast where we talk to animals. We're your hosts, Karen Dendi Smith, Meredith Tollison, and Julie Heart. Every week we'll share insights and stories from the animals. We'll also share how animal communication is a huge part of our lives, influencing our own growth, as well as deepening the relationship with our animal family. We'll be weaving in special guests and animal communication readings, so join us as we discuss all things animal communication. Hello and welcome back everyone to the Animal Communication Podcast. I am Meredith Tollison, and with me are my friends and co-hosts. Karen Dendi Smith. And Julie Heart. We are so excited to have friends and guests with us today, Jenny Weaver and Ronnie Tishner, known as the Heart and Soul Sisters. We've all known each other for a bunch of years. Karen and I went through pretty much all of our coursework at the Danielle McKinnon School
with Jenny and Ronnie. I think we all started out in Animal Communication together and that we went all the way through a lot of things. Actually being sort of the flagship crew that created the Soul Level Intuitive Coaching Program that we've talked about on a previous episode, we went through that start to finish and were certified and also helped by our experiences, shape and create the program that other students are going through now. And it was a lot, wasn't it ladies? I mean, it was a lot. We came out of there, connected to each other. We buried our souls and it was beautiful and wonderful and painful and creative and all of those things. Huge part of important part of my life. So we've been down a bunch of roads together. These roads have converged and forked off and come back together again in a lot of different ways. We all started with the Animal Communication piece, but it's interesting to me to see how each of the five of us has taken that experience and our gifts and our own personal experiences and created
sort of our own way of doing things. So I have had the honor and pleasure of experiencing some of the work that Ronnie and Jenny are doing now that launched a little bit from our time together. They have a very unlikely relationship as super close sisters based on their own familial experience. They call themselves, and I'm going to quote this, I think from your website, sisters, authors, cycle breakers, coaches. They are all of these things and so much more. They have taken a very long and hard journey to heal their relationship with each other, to raise their own families. They've created a podcast, they've published a book, which I have right here on my desk beside me, and so many more things. So let me ask you ladies to introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about who you are, how you got here, anything that you want to share with us about the amazing work that you're doing now. Wow, that's a really open-ended lead you just gave us there.
I'm Ronnie, and I'm the older sister, so I usually talk first. But yes, it's been a long journey to get where we are in terms of coming through the animal communication and the soul level coaching. I know we're going to talk a lot about that. But Jenny and I essentially grew up in a family with addiction, abuse, and untreated mental illness. Childhood trauma, what some people refer to as adverse childhood experiences or ACEs. And those kind of dynamics put kids into specific roles. And in our family, I was the hero. I was the one who was supposed to be a high achiever so that the family could say, look, there's nothing wrong with us. Look at this great kid and all the cool stuff she's doing. And Jenny was the scapegoat or the identified patient and all the psychic trash, garbage, pain gets dumped on the scapegoat. And typically, historically, scapegoats and heroes are not friends. They don't like each other. Usually the whole family joins the parents in dumping on the scapegoat.
And I did as a younger person, as a kid growing up and as a younger person, do that. So we often say we're sisters who weren't supposed to be friends because of that. Now, how we pulled ourselves out of there since Jenny was the one that took the lead on that. I'll let her explain that part of our story. Okay. So I'm Jenny, the younger sister and really, you know, growing up in our home with all of these adverse childhood experiences and being the identified patient and scapegoat and the family. It was my job to carry all the family pain. And you can imagine as a young child, it's really overwhelming. And so I, you know, in our dad's favorite quest and we talked about that in the book was, what the hell's a matter with you? And you know, when you hear that over and over and over again, you start asking, well, what the hell is the matter with me? And so I have a very curious mind and vivid imagination.
And so I tried to figure out what was the matter with me. And that started really in my late teens and progressed into my early 20s after I got married and started to have children. I knew I had to do better. I had to have a better environment for my children. I wanted to be a totally different parent than the examples we had. And so it was really going through individual counseling and also I was going through nursing school at the time. And when I sat through human development and lifespan class and the instructor started talking about the addicted family and all the roles that the children play. I was like, oh God, that's Ronnie. Oh God, that's me. And then oh boy, that's my brother, our brother. And so there was no more denying. We had already said, well dad drank a little bit, you know, he drank too much or he, he was angry a lot or mom was angry a lot.
We didn't really, we didn't really name it. And so it really was, my daughter was about a year old at the time, 18 months old, our first child. And it was then that I said, you know, I got a, I really need to start addressing this. And so I really kind of evolved reaching out to Ronnie. And we talk about it in the book, but it was, it was, it can kind of culminated for me in one weekend that Ronnie just insisted that I come up and visit her and bring my little baby with me. My husband was over in the Gulf War. And so I was alone in the same house with my parents. They had moved in with us. And so everything was really coming to a head for me. And Ronnie just kept pressuring me to go and of course my mother who was controlling everything was pressuring me to not go alone. And, but I ended up going and that weekend just ripped everything wide open. As soon as I walked in the door, Ronnie said to me, Jenny, what is, what's wrong? Something is really wrong here.
And she had her little toddler daughter and my little baby and we just started talking. And it was, it truly felt like a, like the curtain was lifted. And we finally broke through this huge veil of denial that we both had been living with. And Ronnie was the one who started naming it, started naming what was being done to me. I mean, my God, she was a psych, you know, a sociologist at this point and teaching this stuff. And, and she just stepped out of her role as the golden child, the hero, and, and just started naming it. And there's a lot of tears, a lot of hugging and tremendous healing that weekend. And that's what really began this whole journey for the both of us. Yeah. I have an additional question about that. And I'm so glad that you went into the roles that you discussed because that was something I wanted to ask you about. I've tried to kind of figure out how to name that in my own family line, but I haven't quite gotten there.
But it's interesting that Ronnie, you went into to academia, but as a sociology professor, Jenny, you became a family nurse practitioner. So you've both gone into the super amazing supportive healing roles is that cause or effectors it part of the grand cycle. Who knows? Were you in communication with each other or were you completely estranged from each other prior to deciding to actually work on this relationship? So we were never completely estranged, but we once we grew to adulthood and moved out of the house, we never lived near each other. And I never lived near my parents after that time, like I'm talking, you know, hundreds, thousands of miles away. And we had this triangular communication pattern that had developed in our home. And for those who aren't familiar with that, that's when all communication runs through one person.
So that the other nodes on the wheel, if you will, don't speak to each other directly. So that was our mother. And that gave her complete license to tell us like you got to remember in these days, there was no email, there was no cell phone. It was long distance phone calls. We were poor, you know, so we would call on the weekend or after 11 o'clock a night when the rates dropped down to, you know, 25, 50 cents a minute. So we would all call, I would call my mother and I would get updates from her on my sister and my brother. And so she was free to tell us whatever she wanted to. So she would out and out lie, leave things out, bend, twist, spin, right? Anything to keep us loyal to her and at odds with each other. And so this is why in our work, when we talk about healing, sibling relationships, we say siblings are often at odds or a strange for reasons that are not their fault. And they don't understand it, right? Because the people, the adults in their life set them at odds in the very beginning, either through the roles they played or in other more direct ways through the triangular communication.
So, but the times we were together beginning probably when after I went away to college and he was still at home, we would see each other, you know, at various points. And we really did want a better relationship. And sometimes we talked about that openly and acknowledged it. And then it was when all of this sort of blew up. It's like, oh my God, what is, you know, it just turned our world upside down when we went from thinking we're a warm, close, loving, happy family to our parents are abusing us. And that the week in Jenny is talking about it took me another four years to say my dad was an alcoholic. But I did start to see that they were doing terrible things to her and to her children because she was close to them. They were already starting the dynamics in the next generation. They already picked out the next scapegoat, which was her second daughter when she came along. So, yeah, we were never estranged. And we sort of vaguely knew we wanted a better relationship.
We had no idea how to do that. And it wasn't until that week in Jenny described that we started to go, okay, we have to start talking to each other. And then we had a plot when to do that because Jenny was in the house with her parents with our parents. And so we had to think, okay, when are they not there so I can call you and you are free to talk. Yeah, the control was a really deep thing. And you're so indoctrinated in this. People, I'm sure on the outside that I've never had that experience with abuse, mental illness, addiction, don't understand it. You know, it's like slow boiling a frog, right? I mean, from toddler hood on, this is what you know, you learn the rules and the rules change every day. But you try to follow whatever rules of the day are and you don't talk to each other. And that was just, that was just something that was ingrained in us. Yeah. You isolate to try to manage your own pain on your own and just keep safe, right? Hide out in your room or whatever safe space you can find.
And so you're not, I mean, in some families, it might be that the children draw together to try to protect each other. We didn't do that. We were in a space where we each had our own room. And we would retreat to our rooms and try to keep ourselves safe the best we knew how separately. We were taught to isolate from other people outside the family. And we brought that lesson into the family. We isolated from each other as well. That's incredible. And I have to say, I did read your book cover to cover and I've made notes all over it. It's been like a workbook for me. No. No. I'm so glad it's helped. No, I'm so glad it's helped. Yeah. It was very enlightening. And I have to say to every, you know, people who are listening is even if your parents, even if your construct isn't exactly like what you described, there's so much commonality. And parents pitting children against each other, parents pitting children against the other parent. Yes. Yeah. Which is what I went through. And then making the children feel like victims of ping pong balls between.
Right. So we never, never knowing what stability and who you could count on to be stable and respectful of the other parent. And the, the destructuring of safety that that causes, you know, that going through a life not feeling safe, supporter protected, which is what we learned about when we went through the soul coaching work together. But also, I want to bring this back into animal communication in a way because that's where you guys did your first class together. That's where we met. And it's where I remember as a child, the only respite for me was going and sitting with my dog and because no one would, no one would bind me or bother me or sitting outside and watching the birds fly around the wires of the, you know, because that's where I wasn't being told what to do, told what to think. You know, negative stories about another person, worrying how I was going to fit in all that stuff. Kind of one way with the animals. Yes. And being the oldest child for me, I totally resonate. Ronnie with the hero position that I was put in and my sister being put in the secondary position.
And then my brother being the golden child, because he was the, you know, like the one that it went on, you know, little star who could do no wrong. So we'll talk more about how the animals helped you with your journey because the animals have absolutely helped me heal me. And definitely read back through your book about all the things that the animals helped me finally be gentler with myself about and forgive and to reconstitute better boundaries and all that. So how did the animals help you on your journey? You can start with that from very, very young, very early on. I connected very strongly with animals. I think, you know, my first recollection, honestly, of, besides our household, our cat and our dog was my cousin Patty used to take when I, her parents were my godparents. And they would take me for the weekends. And sometimes when I was like three, four, I was little.
And she would take me riding on her horse text. And I was in love with that horse. And he was so gentle and so kind. And I, you know, I think that was such a strong bonding experience of feeling loved and supported. And, you know, I never, never felt, you know, fearful with him or with my cousin Patty, of course. And so I, I definitely looked to animals from a very early age for comfort, for, for loves, for acceptance, because, you know, I, I felt very safe with animals. And, and I imagined of, you know, as a very young child that I was talking with the animals and that they understood me. And I, I still believe they do. And my husband teases me and says that I'm the female version of St. Francis, because animals, you know, come to me. And, you know, when I was a, when I was a kid, oftentimes from school, walking home from school or whatever, a cat or a dog would follow me home.
And my mom and Debra gets so mad at me. They're like, what do you do? Do you get a food? Do you, would you are petting it? I said, no, I didn't pet it. But I, I didn't even in my mind. I'm like, well, I was talking to it, but I'm not going to tell them that. And, and so, you know, I would, I would always ask, can I keep it? Because, you know, these animals would be cuddling, you know, cuddling, rubbing up against me, wanting me to pet them. You know, and I just felt so, I think those are the only times that I really felt grounded and present and connected in my body. Because of what, what happened to me, I learned to disassociate from my body very early on and, and to try and disassociate from the physical pain. And so, being with the animals, I feel like I'm going to cry. I felt so amazing, truly salt-loved and safe and supported with the animals. And I still feel that way. And so, as Ronnie said, you know, being alone and being isolated was, was very difficult for me as a very sensitive, intuitive, empathic kid.
And I think that was partly a defense, you know, that I'm sure my, my intuitive abilities, psychic abilities, you know, empathic abilities just became really heightened as part of a defense and protection mode, but also it was just part of who I was. And the animals absolutely were a lifeline for me. And in many ways still are. You know, I just sadly, you know, our beautiful Rottweiler Poe had cancer and we had to put him down. And, you know, I still feel his presence. It's funny. I wake up sometimes. And as you're in that twilight, you know, I call form because he was always on my side of the bed. And I feel his presence. He's still, you know, he's on the other side supporting and loving me. And I just don't think I can ever be without animals because they, they're unconditional love and the way they help me be present and ground is just such a gift in my life.
Beautiful. Yeah. For me, I would, I would say I would emphasize the role animals have played in helping me heal in terms of developing my intuitive gifts and abilities because I, I have spent most of my life in the rational mind, right, especially as an academic trained as a scientist. And I told myself my whole life, I'm not very intuitive. And I actually, I got into the animal communication because I saw it once in a Cropalu the weekend in Cropalu, right. And I thought, well, that sounds kind of cool. And I thought, well, I should do that. And Jenny, because at this point, Jenny and I were close and always dragged each other to different workshops and healing things and trading books and all that. And I kept looking for it and didn't come again. Then it came back around omega and happened to be Jenny's birthday weekend. And the description said, you know, anybody can learn how to do this. And I said, challenge accepted lady because you're going to have your work cut out with me.
And so we went and, you know, it was the beginning of the journey, as you said, going through the animal communication and the soul level coaching. And I've come to realize along the way in working with the animals and in going through this process that it was a challenge for me because I had, you know, when you're in an environment where you feel under threat all the time. And you're told that what you're experiencing isn't really happening to you, right. There isn't abuse in this home. There isn't addiction in this home. There's, you know, there's nothing wrong with us. There's something wrong with you. You learn not to trust yourself. And developing your intuitive gifts is all about trusting what comes through. And in particular, my, my, the way I get information is usually a sense of knowing. And of all the ways to get that, that's the easiest one for me to go, oh, no, you just made that up. That's not real. You just made that up, right.
But that's most of what I get. And so, so, you know, for me, the work with the animals was really about, about finding that trust in myself that, and that is Jenny said, you just kind of disconnect from what you really know because you're trying to survive. You're trying to cope with what's being thrown in front of you. You're trying to deal with the dissonance of, I feel this pain, but you're telling me you're not hurting me or whatever else happens to be going on in that environment. And so the animals doing that work was a way for me to reconnect with myself and to learn to trust myself, right. Trust what I know and not push it aside, recognize it's not a threat to know what I know and to claim it. Beautiful. What I'm hearing, both of you say is there's these nuggets everywhere or, you know, droplets or whatnot, the little pebbles on the path, if you will, the like picking it up and then how can you integrate it and then use it for your own self.
But then ultimately it feels like for the greater and higher good much of what's happened with your what you've gone through from a family, you know, family situation, the abuse, all of that and then learning the intuition. I'm just curious, you know, how do you see all the things you guys have done this might be a really big question, but how do you see all the things you both have done. And being able to take that and help others through their own challenges and situations and I'm even curious, I know you do things together, do you also do still intuitive work with people to is that all kind of play. Okay, I see you nodding so I'll let you I'll let you guys go. Yeah, go ahead, Jen. Yeah, absolutely. I still I still do some animal communication readings and it's really more for my children or their friends, word of mouth, and you would think all but they're your kids, you know, you know, you know them, you know, but it's it's amazing. When things are going on with one of their animals or that they're concerned about the stuff, the information that comes through, you know, the healthy say that is spot on.
And I couldn't possibly know everything it's going on with them or in their relationships or whatever. And so I love I still love doing it. I still absolutely love doing animal communication and I find it very rewarding. It's also very humbling as well as working with our soul guides. I I feel that, you know, nobody deserves to be abused or traumatized. But it's very humbling and I feel very honored when our through our book our podcast or working with someone. We have been able to to help them in some small way on their healing path because, you know, I I wanted to end my life, you know, so many times as a child. I mean, my earliest recollection was at the age of eight and and the the level of pain that I have carried psychological emotional from our family is has been at times just overwhelming.
And going through all of these all of these paths leading leading me to the next thing, the next, you know, and it's totally been intuitive guiding us. Our soul guides, whatever you want to frame that. But Ronnie and I have absolutely followed our intuition as to what's the next step, what's the next, the next thing that will help me to help myself and to help others. And that has been just a very rewarding pass and the one thing I say every time that we talk to anybody is that, you know, yes, you know, acknowledging and experiencing and sitting with those feelings as you're working through counseling or or your healing process and whatever path you're taking. You will come out on the other side and that pain does not last forever and there is so much more joy, so much more peace in this life in this world that you all deserve and where I am now as to where I was 20 or 30 years ago or even 10 years ago.
I would not trade anything or I mean meeting all of you amazing people and Danielle and the experiences that we had, I wouldn't trade that for anything. And so if I can share that with with one person and make one person's life writer, then force it. And to address that big picture part of what you're asking Julie, even before we started this work and it probably, I would say it probably began. We were talking for a long time about writing a book. We talked for a long time about maybe doing a podcast. We actually just put up the most rudimentary rudimentary of websites and record our first podcast, like right before COVID, it was like the end of February in 2020. That's how long we've been doing that work. But we've been using, because we've been over 30 years, right on this, on this path, since we said, okay, this is what's going on with the family. We want to be better parents. We've got to figure out how to do that. Sadly, we did have to break with our family, because they would not come with us on the healing journey. So it's just been Jenny and me.
But all along, we've been using whatever we learn, whatever we know where we are in the world, even before we started doing this specific work. So Jenny as a family nurse practitioner has dealt with the physical and psychological and mental emotional fallout of living with childhood trauma. Right. I mean, it has an impact on your body. Absolutely research shows that. And I have my specialty is family studies and gender studies and sociology. And for years, I taught a class called power and violence in the family. And so I would have students that would come into my office or share in the middle of the class for the whole class to benefit from their experiences. And so we've been using the knowledge as we've been gathering it over our lifetime in the places that we've been put, right where we've been. And putting what we, what we've created with the book and the podcast and the work we continue to do is what we wanted to do was put out there in the world, because there's a lot of good stuff on family trauma right now.
There's not much about sibling relationships. The damage is done to it and how to heal us. So we knew that was a new piece. But we also have been the thing that guides us in everything we do is to be as transparent as we know how to be in that moment about what we've experienced. Because you can read all the books in the world about family dynamics and so forth. But we did not read anything when we were in that process about what it feels like when your world is turned upside down. When you say, okay, I've been not only am I not in that warm, close, loving family. I thought I was it's the exact opposite. And okay, if I'm not the hero, then who am I? Like it is an identity crisis. And what does it feel like to try to move through that? Because we thought we were going crazy. We thought we were coming unglued as we're trying to just rewire our brains and choose different behavioral responses. And all those things, if there were times I felt like I actually was physically going to explode like my bot.
There was so much pressure inside me. My body was just going to go all over the wall into little pieces. And so those are the things that we really emphasize in our work. What does it feel like to try to heal? Because yes, it is great on the other side. But it's an ever ending process, of course. But when you're in the thick of it, like you think you're nuts and it might be so painful, you might just want to give up. And so that's kind of what motivates us is wanting people to know there's nothing wrong with you if you're having these feelings. It's normal for you to have these feelings. And so now we're working on a parenting book, which is not so much a how to parent, but it's more like parenting with the intention to break the cycle. And how is that going to feel as you're doing it when you have no role model. Right. When you're doing trying to do the opposite of what you was done to you. So that's what our focus is on helping people feel like they're okay as they're going through it, you know, that they're not alone.

I mean, it feels like it was necessary from everything you just described, both of you and Ronnie in particular, just talking about like the changes and how it felt and not feeling supported and turning your world upside down. Is that all part of that? The breaking up with the family? Am I making sense what I'm trying to say? Yeah, well, the breaking up, I'll jump in if you don't mind, yes. The breaking up of the family really came from me. I had exhausted every avenue that I could think of. I tried spiritual counseling with my parents, with a pastor, tried limited contact, the last straw was trying to do counseling just with my mother. We went to, I was going at the university, counseling services were free for me and for her,
and so I said, okay, let's, you know, if we can't agree on what the issues are, I'm, you know, I feel like I'm being hurt every time we interact, then let's try counseling where you and I will go independently and then we'll go jointly. Well, after three sessions, each of us, I guess, going independently, the psychologist told me at the next session, you know, Jenny, you know, we totally understand your intentions of wanting to do joint therapy to try and heal your relationship with your mother. And they said, but we'd had a medical staff meeting over this, this whole case. And after meeting with her and meeting with you, there is absolutely no way that we can allow you to continue in any joint counseling with your mother. It would be detrimental to you. Wow. And they said, and we can't, we can't participate in that. We can't be a part of that. It would not be, it would not be right. It would not be ethical.
And that was when I was like, okay, I've tried everything. Every interaction was just another, another moment to give them more information about how I was hurting so that they could take it and use it against me. And, you know, fire more, more rounds off at me. So it was just a, it was all about beating me down and so that I would capitulate and say, you're right, I'm sorry, it's all me, it's me, it's me, I'm the one that's wrong. You're perfectly wonderful and you did nothing wrong. That's what they wanted to hear. If they didn't hear that, they would just explode and beat you down as much as they could. It just did not get any better. It got worse. We tried an intervention with our dad too. Yeah. Yeah. And that we, for years, we said that failed. And then someone else reframed it for us. They said, no, your father failed to make the choice to go to rehab, but what it did was it set you to free. It's like we have done everything.
Like we said, it's clearly as we know how what the problems are. And we demanded that we address them. We're not going to just go on and ignore them like we have for the last 30 years. We must address them. We need to work together. We need individual counseling. We need family counseling. We, you know, all these things. And they just came crashing back with why any problems that existed were all Jenny's fault. And there were, there were other things that we haven't really talked about. That we were concerned about concern for the safety of our children. I had one daughter. She had two by that point. We just couldn't. We just. They made it impossible for us to even have limited contact. Now, I say that, but we did have some little points along the way over the intervening 30 years, where we did try to have some contact with them. But they just kept looking for more ways to hurt us. And they're very creative. And the things that they managed to do, especially since I was again, you know, 1,000 miles away.
And it's just, you know, we, our dad passed in October of 2024. And we only found out by chance. No one ever told us, you know, it's very sad. We were just talking about this the other day. It's just sad that they threw us away, right? We say that we walked away and that we broke contact. But really what I've come to understand is that they abandoned us. We begged them to stop hurting us. We told them exactly what they were doing that was a problem. And they chose to let us leave instead of doing anything. And my husband for years has said, you know, we have one daughter. He says, you know, I don't care how wrong I thought she was. She's telling us, you know, we did something. I would do everything to prevent her from leaving, from walking out of our lives, you know. And that's the difference. Yeah. It was too threatening for them to acknowledge anything. Oh, very powerful.
Thank you. Their inability to admit even to meet you halfway and say, we know we've made some mistakes. But we'll accept this much responsibility, but not this much responsibility. It sounds like they didn't even do that. No. And while very, very sad, Jenny, that also had to be somewhat validating to have medical professionals say to you, you're not wrong. Oh, yeah. I said, well, I really have tried everything. And I cannot have any regret because I really did exhaust every avenue that I possibly could. I did not want to walk away. I could not allow them to hurt my children. Yeah. I would, I would absolutely not allow that cycle to continue. I've said that recently in my own family dynamics, like I'm much more willing to stand up to protect my kids, my fake kids, all of the young people that I have have mentored and mothered in my life and my grandchildren that I am to stand up for myself.
Yes. I've spoken up more on their behalf than I ever would have online. So I want to say this. Okay. First of all, I've listed the podcast from day one from that February of 2020, because I remember when it was happening. And there were some aspects of your podcast that kind of got me through the holidays, like the things you give yourself permission to do and the traditions you give yourself permission to change. But a few things that you've said recently. Two things in particular. One, give yourself a break from your healing journey. Because those of us who are still, like you said, it's always a work in progress. We never get to the other side of healing. You unravel some layer of an onion and then here's another one and here's another one. And sometimes you just got to take a break and say, look how much progress I've made. And I think that we are all the type of women who find it hard to turn around and acknowledge to ourselves. We've made this much progress. The other thing, which is completely relevant in astrology in the world at large.
All of the things right now is your voice needs to be heard. Step up and put it out there. Some body can find their own healing in the experience of your telling your story. Whether it's just knowing that they're not alone that someone else is out there. They're not isolated. So thank you all for that. I also want to tell the whole wide world that I recently did an intuitive coaching. I'm not sure what you'll call it, but I did a session jointly with Ronnie and Jenny. I said, I want to book with you. I have no idea what my real question is about. But I trust that this is going to go where it needs to go. I thought, you know, I work for family businesses and all of that kind of stuff. And I thought there would be a lot of family dynamics that come up. But like the animals do sometimes. The gods turned it back around and they're like, no, Meredith here. Let's talk about you. Let's talk about you. I was like, do I really really?
The two of you, we've own each other a long, long time. But we've not had really personal conversations in quite a few years. Right. So you really didn't know what was going on in my personal life, my professional life, my family life, any of those things. But y'all, Karen Julie, you know, how much we love working in tandem to do an animal communication reading, watching these two. Just tune in. We just finished an episode about channeling. And it really was almost like watching YouTube channel from the guides to deliver very important and impactful messages to me. It was all extremely relevant. It was all right on target. It was beautiful to see you work together, especially knowing your history and how difficult it probably was for you to figure out a way to work together. But it was very natural.
It was very comfortable, highly, highly recommend anyone who's interested, contact these two. They kept telling me the stuff that I know, I know, I know. And I'm like, how could you possibly know how to tell me? Oh, hello universe. Hello universe. Oh, that's great feedback. Thank you, Meredith. Yeah, thank you so much, Meredith. Yeah, even though I was late and you gave me some grace for that. Because I was working, which you told me I should do less off. Right. Actually, that was the guides telling you. I know, I know. But how beautiful that the two of you are able to to be conduits for that information from the guides and to be able to do it together from thousands of miles apart in such a beautiful way. Your healing journey has brought you so far. There are multiple times when you've been talking that I've teared up a little bit. You're very emotional about it all. You're truly inspiring.
So thank you for that. Thank you. Thank you, Meredith so much. Karen and Julie, do you all have any other questions to ask of these amazing, amazing women? I do. If you guys don't mind, because I had the opportunity to meet Jenny at an Ainsley McLeod event. Yes. It was awesome. Yeah. It was. I was so excited. I saw you walk. I'm like, oh my gosh. I know her from CTP lane. Yeah. In your world. I was so nervous by the way to introduce myself to you. Just because you were like, I know. This is part of like my just because you were, you know, and I'll say it this way. Like, you'd been a professional animal communicator in her world longer than me. You're, you're an older alumni than I am. And so I was just like, oh, hello. You know, I feel you were so kind and gracious. I am curious, though, because I'm a huge fan of his work and all of that. So I'm curious how the soul guides the purpose, the soul age, the soul type.
Is there anything? And I know that's a whole lot. I would love to actually have him on the podcast at some point here. How has that work even impacted your own healing journeys? And even moving into what you help people with now. I'll just jump in. I think that certainly his books and his, his work has been very, very influential. And Ronnie and I actually had a couple of joint readings individual, but also joint readings about our work together with Ainsley. And so I, I think, you know, the soul, the soul level age and all that is, is interesting to know. But for me, it's the connection with the soul guides. And, and receiving the messages from the soul guides. And I think, I think meeting with Ainsley, he just, he just reaffirmed what we had already felt like we developed and tuned into with the animal communication and the soul level intuitive coaching work with Danielle and you all.
And he told us both. He said, he said, you two are highly, highly intuitive psychic. He said, this is, you're on your, your apps. The guides say you're absolutely on the right path. And so. That was very, very, I'm affirming for, for me. And, and I think for Ronnie, because you know, as you all know, if you get, you get these downloads of information that's like, am I making this up? Or, you know, so I just, I'm not going to filter it. I'm just going to share a, I may sound crazy, but here it comes. And it's just so, I feel so humbled that the guides are working with me. And that I'm, you know, I'm receding those messages so clearly. And that's what I'm talking about. It's not me. It's coming from the guides. You know, I'm just, I'm just here to share what they're telling me. And I love it. I want to do more of it. I, if I could do this all the time, I would do it all the time. Because it's just, I end up, you know, I end up at the end of a session. Whatever has come through, you know, as Danielle had said many times,
it, there are also some messages for the, for the person that's, you know, receiving those messages and sharing them. And I always feel so, so hopeful, so joyful and, and so at peace during those readings and after those readings. And you probably know what I'm talking about, that experience of, of being there to, to assist another person and connect like that is just very meaningful for me. Yeah. Oh, thank you. Yeah. Yeah. I would, I would echo what Jenny said, I think, I've read his books and I actually I got a chance to go to a workshop with him a weekend workshop at Krupalu before I ever did the animal communication. And so he, you know, led us through a bunch of, of meditations and I had some really interesting experiences. And that was when I was still very new with, with the idea that I could develop my own intuitive capacity. And so he was very affirming in that. And actually in, in the last reading, Jenny and I had with him jointly, you know, the guys
came through and said, you deserve a bigger audience because there are a lot of people out there looking for what you're doing. And so that really was a, a nice little light under us, you know, to be like, okay, keep going, keep being open to what else you can put out there. So like we recently launched a, a sub-sack that's focused on just answering questions about childhood trauma, what it is, its impacts how to heal from it, how to support somebody who's healing, to raise awareness on all levels. And so we're just looking for ways, other ways to get, get this information out into the world because we just feel called to do it. And we felt called for a while before we actually did anything. And we keep moving forward. We just recorded the first episode for season seven of our podcast because we just, we continue to feel like people are looking for this. And we're not sure exactly how many, but some of them are, people are listing, downloading,
buying the book. And so we're, it means, it's a way for us to find meaning in all that we've been through. Yes. Right. Making, making what happened to us means something not just for our own journey and our relationships with our family and friends and colleagues and so on, but to actually improve the world. And to get to a point where we can talk not just about helping people heal from trauma, but how can we make sure people aren't traumatized in the first place? Right. How can we move the world to that point? What a beautiful sentiment, idea, hope for the future because they all know, I have know a little bit of astrology, be dangerous, but we're at this really interesting point, astrology-wise, particularly on Friday, right, with Saturn and Neptune at the zero point of airy. So what a wonderful to be able to put that wish, that desire, that momentum out in the world. And I, I agree with you that there's, there seems to be such a need.
And I'm even like a hunger for this work, this trauma work, when I watch the, it's going to say the popularity or I keep seeing Dr. Kapoor Montay everywhere, Richard Schwartz is everywhere. You know, there's, I'm looking at my bookshelf who has a, even Ken Wilber with spiral dynamics, there's so much conversation around trauma and that what we all possess of trauma, collective trauma, even intergenerational trauma. So the work you both are doing is fascinating and absolutely. Yeah, it couldn't be more so well needed. So thank you. Yeah. And I remember when I was first reaching out to you guys to see if we could have some of these conversations, I think you had just done a word about to do a presentation together at the school where you work, Ronnie, about sibling interactions and all of that. And you were saying that the show of hands sometimes at the, at the end of the class where people were like, I think I, I think I have that.
You know, this is another example of your voice needs to be heard. Speaking up, speaking my voice, but doing this podcast, putting all this out there was such a huge challenge for me personally, because he wants to hear my voice. My voice doesn't really matter. You know, all the things we were told as children and all of the things that we learned to believe about ourselves, all of that. Yeah, bring in that forward. We're realizing just how many people need those messages to feel like they can actually step up, break the cycle. So excited about this next book about breaking the cycle. Talk to my kiddos about that all the time. Just because this is the last hell over many generations doesn't mean it needs to be the next. Can we do to bring this cycle? So I thank you for both being so willing and I mean, raw putting yourself out there in the first place to bring up these difficult topics and to help the people that you've helped.
You're helping me and you don't even know it. We'll talk more about that later. Yeah, it's pretty amazing. So let's tell the world. I've got a ton of links in the show nights. But tell the world, how can they find you? Ronnie and Jenny, how did they find you? Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, the website is the best place because you can find everything there. So it's Ronnie and Jenny. R-O-N-N-I and J-E-N-N-I-E. But we are on Instagram. Ronnie and Jenny, we have a substack where I'm blue sky. That's brand new. And that's more political stuff, but there's starting to be more cultural things on there as well. So we have a book, a podcast. There's lots of free content on our website, short articles we've written. We've got our one minute blog. If you just need to be uplifted for a moment, right? You're having a cup of tea and you're thinking, oh, I'm feeling kind of discouraged. What can I, you know, what can I look at that will maybe cheer me up or give me something positive to think about.
So, but the website will link you to absolutely everything that we're doing. And most of it is free. So people can just just enjoy it and benefit from it. And we always, I want to put in a plug for people to let us know what they think. They can message us via the substack, via Instagram, via the website. And let us know what kind of content you want because there may be things that we could create, could put out there that we're not aware of people are looking for. So we're always happy to respond to that. Anything that Jenny? Just our message that I feel like I always share at the end is that, you know, our whole mission really is about love and self love acceptance. And knowing that you are not alone, you are not alone in this, in this path. And we are here to support you and love you and help you anyway we can. Yes. And I'm just going to say thank you to the animals for bringing us, guiding us all here because they are the foundation of seeing who we are.
Loving us that or what? And giving us the space to have some faith in ourselves. So I'm just getting on the animals that we each have in our families that led us to getting a chance to see each other, meet each other and support each other. I'm very grateful for that. Yeah. Very grateful. I'm so grateful for all of us being brought together to have this conversation today. Thank you so much ladies for being here. Oh, thank you for having us.
