Introducing Paid Appointment Bookings in Google Calendar with Stripe Integration
About this episode
Google Calendar is introducing a new feature that allows users to offer paid appointment bookings. Appointment providers can connect their Stripe account to Google Calendar and set a price for their services. Users booking appointments will be directed to Stripe to enter their credit card information. This feature aims to help small business owners reduce no-shows and manage their time and payments effectively. Google Calendar will not process or store any payment information and will not charge any platform fees. Admins can enable or disable this feature in the Admin console, while end users can turn on payments in the appointment schedule editor. The rollout of this feature will occur gradually starting in July 2023. It is available to various Google Workspace plans and Workspace Individual users.
