Joseph teaches that the Old Testament is a direct revelation, meaning that when God speaks, one must deliver the message exactly as it is given. In contrast, the New Testament involves interpretation: when we hear from God, we interpret what we have heard because all people have the Holy Spirit within them. He explains that the body of Christ should operate as Christ does here on earth, asserting that as He is, so are we in this world. He highlights the twenty-one gifts within the body of Christ and explains the steps necessary to achieve prophetic clarity.

He continues by stating that a revelation can sometimes be filtered through the believer's life, which comprises scripture, tradition, experiences, and rationality. He warns that tradition can render God's word ineffective in our lives, encouraging us to consistently study it to transform how we view tradition within our value system. 

Joseph further teaches that the interpretation of any revelation must be scripture-based. He stresses the need to read God's word until it impacts every area of our lives and to pray consistently in the Holy Spirit to activate our gifts. He also explains how to apply our revelations, cautioning against going beyond what is written.
