Intel Jumps on AI Demand Forecast, Asia's Nuclear Power Renaissance
About this episode
Business and finance news from the Asia-Pacific.
Intel Corp. delivered a revenue forecast that shattered Wall Street estimates as booming data center spending fuels a long-awaited turnaround. Sales will be $15.8 billion to $16.8 billion in the third quarter, the company said Thursday. Even the low end of that range would easily clear the $15.1 billion average analyst estimate. Meantime, Stocks and bonds fell as doubts over returns from billions of dollars spent on artificial intelligence coincided with a surge in oil prices that rekindled inflation concerns. For more on the tech story, Bloomberg TV hosts Haidi Stroud-Watts and Shery Ahn spoke to Dan Ives, Partner and Senior Managing Director at Yorkville Ives.
Plus - Energy is the biggest constraint of the global AI build out. Many countries are turning to nuclear power to address it. Perhaps nowhere better reflects the global nuclear push than Asia. Bloomberg TV host Shery Ahn spoke to Nobuo Tanaka, International Energy Agency Executive Director Emeritus.
