3:02fest. It's a boring game. It's a dull game from the Dodgers offense. I think they are feeling exactly how I'm feeling, how we're both feeling, kind of sleepy, kind of out of it. We both want to be just in bed right now. But that is not really the full story of the game. The story of the game is Blake Snow exits after one inning and 19 pitches. We're going to talk about that here in on deck presented by Fox one. You're absolutely correct. I mean, that is the story of the game. He throws one scoreless inning before exiting the game. We find out later on that it is growing tightness. The velocity Clint was noticeably down. I mean, this is not the first time that Blake Snow has experienced this sort of issue. You can see there from Fabian, our DIA. This is something that he's been dealing with over the course of his career. But at this point, I'm sorry, you missed a boatload of time. You missed more than half of the season. And now they've taken you out of the game because of green tightness. At this point, I'm starting

4:05to get irritated. At this point, I'm starting to get pissed. At this point, I'm like, you know what? Like you got signed to a massive contract. Like, I'm not, I'm not okay with growing tightness and being taken out of the game. I'm sorry. Like, I'm sure that that's not fair of me. I'm sure that that's, you know, unrealistic of me. But bro, like, you've got to be able to post. You have to be able to go in there and be able to give this team what they need. You've missed so much time. And now we have to wonder how long he's going to be out. Is he going to be okay for the post season? Maybe it's nothing, but maybe it is. Yeah, we saw people reporting on the internet after, you know, a few meetings after he's removed that the expectation is that he will make his next start. Hopefully, you know, they caught this early enough. But yeah, you mentioned the history part of it. And my buddy Jeff Spiegel pointed out a lot more on social media about that, you know, Miss time and five weeks in 2022

5:09with the growing issue eight weeks in 2024 with an issue that came back and missed more time. I think this was an extremely out of precaution early exit because him staying in this game didn't really matter. Honestly, yeah, in the, in the grand scheme of things for the Dodger trying to win a baseball game today. And, and I guess you could say, um, needing to, uh, not burn the bullpen. This is what I'm trying to go with it's burn the bullpen ahead of a bullpen game tomorrow. The more important thing is making sure that he doesn't try to tough up, nut up and injure himself further with the post season two weeks away less than two weeks away. But I mean, like, why do, I mean, I feel like we have to wear kid gloves with him. Like, I mean, he, he just got back 10 minutes ago. And now we're worried about a grand injury. Like, this is a guy that's supposed to be, I mean, in a, in a, in a rotation of aces on a roster of aces, he's supposed to be one of your aces.

6:11I mean, this is a guy that's our, obviously, a two time sying award winner. It was a massive, massive get a lot of money was given to him. And he, he, he's not healthy. He's just never healthy. Like, he's not healthy. Glass now's not healthy. I mean, again, this may not be a big deal. Maybe you're right. Maybe they're being super caution, cautious, cautious. Maybe they're being very precautionary. But I'm tired of this. Like, I'm tired of be like, oh, well, there he goes again. And this is what's fun about what we do here. Sometimes we get, we get to be, or have to be measured other times we get to both sit here and be over reactionary. You know, is it disappointing that he was pulled from this game after just 19 pitches. Yeah, you know, having to kind of get everybody up and ready to work as early as they did not ideal. But again, for the greater picture, hopefully this is something they caught early enough. It is funny. The, so before the game today, earlier, earlier in the afternoon in Cincinnati, Rocky Sasaki, through a, a four inning, 48 pitch,

7:14simulated game. I'm, I'm betting you they're wishing they didn't blow that low to here. Cause tomorrow is going to be interesting. You'll probably see Bobby Miller get option tomorrow and the, the return of Landon NAC to help cover some innings. But all in all, you know, I'm going to take the, the positive side of this, the fact that what we're hearing is that again, precautionary, they expect them to make his next start again, super early that we're hearing that. But if it is something where they caught it early enough and, and, you know, no reason to push him in this. And I had popped this, this screen up a little bit ago. But you also noticed, again, early in this game, well, everything was early because only through one inning. So everything was early when it comes to Blake's now. But yeah, he was noticeably down with the fastball velocity. And that's something where, you know, he, he wasn't really able to, to stride to his usual capabilities. And

8:15no reason to get yourself hurt for, as my buddy Jeff Snyder would say, just one game. I understand that. And I want to bring something up of people commenting in the chat. And of course, the chat is great. We love you guys commenting. But this is something that's, I find quite interesting because obviously this dude knows nothing about me. Matthew 1970 something, Alana quit complaining and honestly quit with your attitude. I've been hearing a lot of it lately. And it's not a good look for you. I'm the most fucking positive person when it comes to the Dodgers ever. Matthew. So you know what? Take a knee, sir. I never complain about this team. I'm never negative about this team. You don't watch, watch the show enough and you know nothing about my tenure with this team. So if I say that I'm worried about Blake's now always being hurt, it's a cause for concern. Okay. Yeah. So shove it. Yeah. I mean, you are, you are the, the queen of it's going to be great. And obviously our first year going through the 2024 postseason, people have this impression that you were like, Oh man, I love the Padres. I hope the Padres went, No, you are asked a question.

9:20Bluntly, who do you think ends up winning the series? Even the Dodgers after the fact said the Padres were the better team in that series. Dodgers got really, really lucky that they got on a heater and the Padres went ice, flipping cold with the bats after the fact. But yeah, you are somebody who is always very, no, I'm pretty, I'm pretty pretty pretty positive. I'm pretty like glasses like rose colored glasses when it comes to the same. Okay. So I don't, I don't want to hear it. Anyway, moving on as far as the one last other thing. So I could also understand your point with now two regular seasons with the Dodgers, a total of 19 starts for Blake's now. He's getting a lot of money for the team. So I, I could understand adding to, you know, your pile of frustration to him there. It's just, it's, I feel like it's every other, I mean, he's not pitched a full season for this team since being being acquired. And again, he's an amazing, obviously, obviously he has two

10:22sayings. I was excited, excited when they signed him. I'm still excited that Blake's now is in our rotation. And he's not in anybody else's rotation. But the point is, and maybe they are, maybe they're being super, super, super, super cautious because all they need to do is San Diego needs to lose and they win division in the division. And that's, that's the goal, right? That's the first, the first box to check. And I get it. But I just get, I'm over the like, oh, what's happening with Blake's now up? 16:58is really really good. Perennially, I think they just like we said the other day just kind of just get there right just get there just like claw your way through. Keep your head above water get to the postseason. Be able to take a breath reset set your rotation. Hopefully get a couple of days off to rest and recover and then really turn things on. This team I have no doubt will be great. I will have no doubt that they will go deep into the postseason. It is going to be great. I really believe that obviously they are built for this time of year. This is just like enough. I said this before. It is like at the end of spring training when you cannot wait Clint for the games to start and the regular season for them to matter. That is the exact same point we are at now for the regular season to end in the postseason to start. They are going to be fine. It is going to be great. It is going to be great. They are going to win one more game or the potteries are going to lose one more game. In the next 10, they are fine. They are going to win the division. Check that box. They are fine. I understand the overall management of everything. You can be mad in the microcosm of it and breaking down each game. We can be upset about snail coming out and lack of offense today. But the overall broad stroke big picture, this is a team that is they are exactly

19:11where they want to be. They are achieving exactly what they need to at the right time. Just get to just get to whatever it is September 29th, I think when when the postseason starts or whatever that day is. Yeah, I mean, be a little bit later. Obviously for them, I think that still might be the start of the DS. Not 100% certain. But yeah, another thing that Dave pointed out today as well is, you know, it is important for this kind of older squad to get those few days off. They are in a good position to still maintain their lead over the braves. The braves are down to three. I think at the moment to the Cubs. So you are still going to most likely maintain your three and a half game lead over the braves. It would take a knock on desk. I don't curse it here. It would take a monumental collapse for the Dodgers to end up playing in the Wild Card series. Yeah, you're absolutely right. And to your point, you are correct. Once again, the Wild Card would start on the 29th. So the Dodgers would not have to play until four games after that or four days

This is an opportunity for somebody else to win the National League MVP. I believe that's going to be Pete Kerwarms. So he's obviously backed up the talk. Yeah, so I mean, it just depends. Clint, it's whoever's the healthiest and whoever is playing the best brand of baseball at the time. And that's why baseball is so tricky. The regular season is so dang long. We know it's like to deal with the traffic there. All of the things. But I think either way, we're going to see Shohei in that final series, you know, in San Francisco against the Giants is Blake's Nell right now speaking to reporters post games. But with Henriquez, obviously placed on the IEL yesterday, I believe it was or two days ago with with the lower back issue. Got an MRI back. They're saying it is a lower back strain. Doesn't seem to be too serious. They've said, you know, hopeful he could pitch in the post season. Now this is one better. Dave is always hopeful. But this feels like one like Eduardo Henriquez to lose that like one of the probably most trusted arms on that trust tree, particularly throwing from the right hand side. I don't know that they have enough to kind of survive the entire post season without a guard over turning. He's been the most underrated, most valuable reliever of the entire season. And we've tried to give Eduardo Henriquez his flowers. Katie Wu did a phenomenal job covering him and doing a really nice piece on him in the athletic. If you haven't read it yet,

28:39I highly recommend that you do so. This is a guy that has been underrated. He's just gone out there every single time. High-liverage situations, non-high-liverage situations has taken the ball, has just shoved. We have joked because of the lack of production and the lack of availability for Edwin Diaz that Eduardo Henriquez is the one that deserves the trumpets. He's been great. So if you lose him for any length of time based on what he has done this season, I think that would be catastrophic for a bullpen that doesn't have a healthy and productive Edwin Diaz who doesn't have a Tanner Scott that is performing at the highest level, who doesn't have guys that you have a tremendous amount of confidence in right now. He's been the absolute x-factor in the bullpen, in my opinion, for the Dodgers this season. So if you lose him, that's a huge concern to me. Yeah, yeah. I need to have him back. You also, you mentioned, Edwin Diaz made another unplanned

29:45technically rehab appearance for AAA Oklahoma City today, scoreless ending for him. So I drop the hamster forward. I'll take it. I'll take any positive at this point. Fabian Ardaya saying he didn't get any swing and misses on eight swings against him, which means he's you know, not quite fooling anybody yet as they work to get that arm slot up a little bit more, but we you know how it's going to go with this team. They're going to find a way to shoehorn ideas whether he is good or you know or not. And again, maybe you know, maybe it's just a point I keep saying and I add nausea when I apologize for the repetition. I know I sound like a broken record. You just got to get through the next 10 days. Honestly, like this is a team that is built for the postseason. The regular season is boring. It's boring to them. It is. It's boring to them. So they just got to get to the postseason. And I think everything honest to goodness will will be put in the right perspective. They will put everybody in the right gear in the right spot. And it's going to be fine. I don't ever I don't really worry about this team until they give me a

They have. They're doing the type of they're playing the type of baseball. I mean, a lot of it of course, not a lot of it. But right now they're playing a stretch of games against bad teams. And for the greater part, they're kind of winning those games, you know, just forget about that Miami series. But they're do their winning games in the way that you need to win games in the postseason. So I feel good about them for the greater part. It's not going to be it's not going to be yeah, do you got to do the little things and you've got to play really defensively fundamental baseball. And I do think they'll do that. I really do. That's about just doing enough to win 11 games before I'm honest to God. If you're already if you're already in the postseason, this is the worst time of year. But if there's if you're voting, if you're voting and it's based on how you you perceive him, how he's treated you, dependent upon the vote, whether it's supposed to matter or not, that type of stuff does matter. Yeah. Really does. That's where we appreciate the Dodgers, even when they're not playing well like they did today. Just a bunch of really good character dudes on that roster with Freddie, with Mookey smiles. And I think that's I think that's why they've been so successful. It's because there's a group of guys that play for each other and they're not they're not again, like I know Manny in a different way because I've known his family and the whole thing, but I can completely understand why people don't like him. He's not a likable character.
