Indie Comics Spotlight: Smile

About this episode

Comics in Motion is proud to partner with Lenovations Press! Check out their high quality independent comics here.

This week, Tony is joined by his oldest daughter, Calin Deck. Please follow her on Instagram here or check out her Teacher Pay Teachers account here.

They spend time talking about the Eisner Winning book Smile.

Raina Telgemeier

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth, and what follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there’s still more to deal with: a major earthquake

Comics in Motion is now a Humble Bundle Partner.

If you want to talk with Tony about comics or to suggest any future shows, please connect with him on Twitter @Tricycleboombox.
