IN FOCUS SHOW - ONE ON ONE WITH GABI LOCKYER (PART ONE)

In Part 1 of this episode, Laine Arrowsmith sits down with former England women's rugby player and sports journalist Gabi Lockyer. As Gabi shares about her beginnings in University and club rugby which took her to the 1994 Women's Rugby World Cup, ready to play as a member of the reserve England squad. Gabi shares about her pursuit to be a sports journalist and the opportunities which have come to her over her career, which can be linked to her staunch passion of rugby, and sport. 

We touch on how sport remains a large factor in Gabi's life and how she still shares her love of the game through coaching! We hear about some of the high-profile athletes she has interviewed, and which experiences and people have stayed with her. 

We both love rugby, and we have a great chat about international teams on the rise, bolstering the support of the game through strategic appointments in the governing body, and why we aren't the best people to watch rugby with.
