"If You Avoid Death, You Avoid Life" w/ Erin Crawford, Death Doula
About this episode
Erin Crawford, a.k.a @deathandbitcoin on Twitter and Instagram. Erin is an end-of-life doula and a Bitcoiner from Canada, currently living and travelling through Central America. Her podcast “Decentralizing Death” is an exploration of how the fiat monetary system has completely distorted our relationship to death and dying, and how we may be able to utilize the principles of decentralization in order to reclaim the sacred in the end of life transition.
Erin believes that Bitcoiners are uniquely positioned to spearhead the “death honesty” movement, as they understand the value of that which is scarce and finite, and we possess a deep motivation to uncover truth. Erin’s (current) vision for the future is to create a decentralized network of eldercare resources; including access to caregiver support, building independent residential elder and family villages, and end-of-life hospice care.
