I'm Okay: Celebrating Autism & Daragh's Legacy

0:00On April 17th, a new track called, I'm Ocaja Strapped, created by Pamela Campbell, a music teacher from Dundock. She's a secondary school educator who drew inspiration from kids in her community living with autism, the song and its music video aim to spread a message of acceptance and understanding. The whole project highlights how folks on the autism spectrum experience the world in unique ways, and that's something to embrace rather than change. People teaches at Dallas-Hell College and wanted to keep it straight forward celebrating differences instead of focusing on fixes. It launched right around world autism awareness day earlier this month, with the video premiering at a special event in Dundock this week, sung by Zara Woods, it's already getting strong love from viewers online. The song also honors the memory of Derog MacNally, a local boy who passed away six years ago, adding a heartfelt layer to the effort. This really shows how music can bridge gaps and spark real conversations about neurodiversity,
