"I Lost Three Relatives In The Kauru Attack"

The latest attack in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has once again drawn attention to the growing insecurity facing rural communities across northern Nigeria.

More than 30 people were killed in Narido community. Among the victims were children, women, and the elderly. Several others were injured, while homes were set ablaze, leaving many families displaced and struggling to come to terms with their loss.

One of those affected is Chief Bitrus Tanko, who lost three relatives in the attack. On today's episode of Nigeria Daily, he shares his painful experience and recounts what happened on that tragic day.

Despite sustained military operations across parts of the North-West, attacks on rural communities continue to occur, raising concerns about the effectiveness of existing security measures.
