Welcome to Charm Words, your daily reminder to be good to yourself and others. My name's Zola, and together we're going to breathe in the good, breathe out the bad and use words to remind ourselves of our worth. Is it hard to pick up the pencil and start homework sometimes? Or is it intimidating to play a new game? The best way to push through our troubles is to motivate ourselves. We know our strengths and weaknesses better than anyone else in the world, so let's use our brain power to chew ourselves on. Today's Charm Words are about realizing we can be our best motivators. We can use our self-understanding to push ourselves further and achieve more.
Let's do some belly breathing, then we'll do our affirmations. When you breathe in, use your nose and keep your shoulders still. Once your belly fills up like a balloon, breathe out through your mouth by just letting go. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Ready? Take a gentle, deep breath slowly through your nose and breathe out through your mouth. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Breathe in, breathe out. One more time, breathe in, breathe out. Today's Charm Words are I am my best source of motivation.
I'll say it first, then repeat after me. Ready? I am my best source of motivation. I am my best source of motivation. I am my best source of motivation. I am my best source of motivation. I am my best source of motivation. No one knows us better than we know ourselves. So when we need a little push to try a new activity, we know how to prepare ourselves in a way that's safe. On the count of three, high five the person closest to you or clap your hands together and high five yourself. Ready? One, two, three. These charm words are yours to keep. So put them in your pocket and take them with you wherever you go. You can find us at charmwords.com
and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Building new habits takes time, so we'll be here every weekday to practice breathing and affirmations together. See you next time.
