Story Transcript:

Ko: 햇볕이 뜨겁게 내리쬐는 여름이었다.
En: It was a summer when the sun was blazing hot.

Ko: 농장에서는 옥수수 줄기가 바람에 흔들리고, 닭들은 여기저기서 꼬꼬댁 울었다.
En: On the farm, corn stalks swayed in the wind, and the chickens clucked here and there.

Ko: 현은 자신의 자전거를 준비하고 있었다.
En: Hyeon was preparing his bicycle.

Ko: 자전거의 핸들바는 반짝반짝 빛나고 있었다.
En: The handlebars of the bicycle were sparkling.

Ko: 오늘은 아주 중요한 날이었다.
En: Today was a very important day.

Ko: 현은 이웃 지은에게 신선한 계란을 배달하려고 했다.
En: Hyeon planned to deliver fresh eggs to his neighbor Jieun.

Ko: 그는 지은에게 자신이 믿을 수 있는 사람임을 보여주고 싶었다.
En: He wanted to show Jieun that he was someone she could trust.

Ko: 그런데 문제가 생겼다.
En: But a problem arose.

Ko: 한 마리의 닭이 자전거 핸들바 위에 떡하니 앉았다.
En: A chicken had plopped itself right on the bicycle handlebars.

Ko: 닭은 고개를 한쪽으로 기울이며 꿈쩍도 하지 않았다.
En: The chicken tilted its head to one side and didn't budge.
