I think Tatum knows coming back, he's stepping onto Jalen Brown's team. Like this is, you know, Brown is a top five, top six MVP candidate this year. He has put this team on his back offensively. And Tatum's going to have to find a way to fit into that. I think there will be an adjustment, but I ultimately think he's he's going to be fine. He's Jason Tatum. He's one of the best scores we have in the NBA. He's going to find a way to make it work. Final hour. Jones and Keith here on W-E-E-I. That was Chris Manix yesterday discussing Jason Tatum. We don't think he's coming off the bench. Yeah, I'm a little more suspect he's going to be realizing he's stepping on to Jalen Brown's team. But that was Manix yesterday. We played that for you earlier today. With Tatum, we expect returning tonight. We have an emergency pure hoops with Justin Turpin. We call him Turp, W-E-I. What's up, Turp? What's up, guys? I'm with you. I expect him to start as well. Okay. It's minus 120 on the off-shores. Yeah, I did hear that.

I did hear that. I didn't know they made lines for such a thing. Yeah, I guess you can make lines for anything. That's true. Yeah, I would assume that he starts any idea minutes. My speculation is like 20, 25 minutes. I don't want to be like a Brian Hoyer here. You know anywhere from like 15 to 25. I'm like, probably like 20, 25, I'd probably lean that way. Were you surprised? But that would be the only one. The 12 and a half, because I think that's a little bit of an indication. When a lot of these sportsbooks, they open it up either 12 and a half, 13 have points for Tatum. Were you surprised by that number? We were talking about it after the show yesterday. I thought it was going to be a little bit higher, but it makes sense when you consider the... Man, you'll have moved. It's plus money, but it's now 13 and a half, plus 102. I think that's what it was at Draft King's yesterday. I think it opened at 13. Sportsroom around 12 and a half. 12 and a half. Taking the over there. Go there. Go get it. But yeah, it's like threes were like one and a half, assists like two and a half. I thought those were all pretty reachable. It is one of those like we have no idea what to expect. No, I don't think he has an idea what to expect. The team doesn't, Brad Stevens doesn't, Joe Mizzula.

Really nobody knows what to expect. So it is kind of a mystery. I could tell you one they had to expect first shot, Jason Tatum, side step three. I expect that fully. Yeah. First Celtic shot or first Tatum shot? First Celtic shot. Okay, let's see. You're giving us some good info on first bucket. That's what I was saying. You're saying Jason Tatum exact three point shot to start the game. I mean, I would wager that way. That's just an interesting thing. I didn't see that the first play design, like it's not like football where they have the first drive scripted out. No, but I would say like we have no idea. But I think they they have some ideas because they've seen them like they close the practices. Oh, yeah, they have no time today. But like the team has seen him play. The team has seen him move up and down. And I'm sure guys like Derek White or Jalen Brown or even like Sam Houser are probably like. Oh, that's kind of close. Or like, oh, that's nowhere near. They're all, you know, waiting to see what it looks like in a game situation. But at least they've been playing like five on five with them. Right. And he has from it, like he's been playing with these other guys that are with the team, right?

Like I understand that they're on different roles. They're all in different roles. Like Jalen Brown's in an elevated role. Derek White, Peyton Pritchard, good down the line. Everyone's in an elevated role. But he's played with these guys before. And I think the most underrated part of this is how, you know, constant he's been around the team. He's been traveling since the preseason. He's been in practices. And even though he wasn't practicing until recently, obviously, has been in film sessions. Like he has been a constant presence. And you listen to some of the guys talk about it. I asked Sam, how's it about it today? Hugo Gonzalez and Derek White talked about it last night that, you know, that helps. It's not like you're just integrating somebody that you just picked up on a trade that you're not familiar with. Like there is a level of like, you know, that there's some familiarity there. So yeah, there is there is something to be said about that. I also think, you know, again, they should know in the familiarity and some of that. Also, Keith has brought up the DeGente Murray comp. I think it's a good one. Thank you. He didn't play last night front end of a back-to-back. But second out of a back-to-back, I imagine he's in there again tonight. He's played in four of the six available games.

I'd say really four out of five because again, one is back-to-back. He went 25 minutes, 13 points, 26 minutes, 17 points, 22 minutes, 17 points, 28 minutes, 15 points. Why isn't that like a fair baseline expectation for Tatum? So DeGente Murray can come back and do it. He can do it. I mean, the only thing I'd look at is his rehab was obviously a little bit longer. I think it was what? He was 13 months. I think it was. So I think that'd be the only one that you'd look at. But you'd imagine that once he's fully cleared, like he's fully cleared and he'd probably be under the same circumstances. So yeah, I think that's totally a fair. And it's also like, the closest you're going to get to like Jason Tatum, right? Like Drew Smith came back and I think it was eight and a half months. But he's a role player. Like, you know, DeGente Murray is a little bit closer to where he's been an all-star. He's not the caliber of Jason Tatum. And MVP, down ball at MVP. It's much more than like a role player, you know what I mean? So I think that is definitely a fair comparison. Yeah, I think it's going to be interesting to watch Joe Mizzula and sort of how he uses them and choose to use them, right? Because you could play 20 minutes but that can look all different matter of ways.

Like we all think he's going to start but like does he close the game? Like is he playing like a certain stretches? Like I think, you know, I'm sure Mizzula has an idea going into a game. But then you got to react differently. Like how he looks, how the team is playing and all of that. But and I'm sure it's just something too. They talk about Brad Stevens about but just sort of like where and when you play in the 20 minutes. I think the thing with Jason Tatum as well that will help kind of get him back into this lineup and really assert him back into it is. He's like a basketball chameleon. Like he could just adjust to whatever you need him to do. You know, you need him to play point guard. You need him to bring up the ball. He can do that. You need him play the center. He can do that. You need him guard one through five. He can do that. Like there's really no weaknesses in his game. Do you think he wants to come back and do that? Come back and be what? Like that kind of guy? Yeah, dishing passes to other guys and playing back up center. Like do you think that's what he wants to do? I mean, he's been doing that whole career. Like that's something he's always done. He but I mean, at a certain point he had established some shots though too. Yeah, and and also he didn't have to, he doesn't want to come back and be a role player. He said that. That's him. That's what he said.

So you're right. He's deferred at times and he's been a basketball chameleon and if you need him to pass out a double team, she'll do it for the betterment of the team. I'm not questioning any of that. But now he does on some level want to reestablish himself. So is he going to be happy doing that? I mean, I'm sure he's going to be happy doing whatever just getting out on the floor. I mean, it's going to take time, right? Like he said he doesn't want to be a role player. He's not going to be a role player. He's chasing Tatum. Okay, let's be real. Let's be real. Right, but let's be real. So he doesn't want to come back and just be in a secondary role. He wants to come back and be a basketball chameleon. And I didn't mean as like a role player. I'm saying as a guy who can fit in and do whatever they need him to do. Like that's that's a strength of his game and that's been a strength of his game forever. Like, yeah, maybe right away he's not going to be Jason Tatum. In fact, it's probably unrealistic to think he will be Jason Tatum right when he comes back. But when I call him like a basketball chameleon, I'm saying he can adjust to whatever situation it is in that team can adjust to round him. But he's point, but the key's point he's always got. He's going to come back and want his shots. No, he's going to get his shots. Yeah, right. Again, it's Jason Tatum, right? Like, right, he's going to get his shots at this whole thing.

But is that best is that best for the team? I mean, I'd say so. Yeah, him coming back and getting more shots than Jaylin. I never said that. No, I'm saying, but that's what he's done in the past. That's what he's always done. But they've also both exceeded at a high level. Look at 2020, the 2022-23 season, for example. Joe Mizzou was first year. Jason Tatum average 30, Jaylin Brown average 26. They're both all NBA. Like, people are so fixated on this. Jason Tatum, Jaylin Brown, 1A1B, and it's just such a lazy narrative at this point. Like, this should have been put to rest years ago. I understand that it's different now that like, Jaylin has been that quote, unquote, 1A. So if you understand that, then, okay, good. Then there's nothing to argue about. You understand it. It's different now. It is different, yes, but it's such still a lazy narrative because anytime you hear these guys talk, right? Like, whatever it comes down to them, it's just winning. Like, that's what they want to do. So like, I just can't believe like, there's eight years of data that suggests that these guys can figure it out and they've done it before. Like, it's been so done. But it's always been Tatum over Brown before. So I, yeah, that's where I go in, because I don't think it's necessarily lazy. And nobody's saying trade one of them. And we'll get the occasion of the collar on Wednesday.

No, no, no, no, no, no. Nobody hears that. We're not saying that. We're not saying that. And that is a conversation from five years ago. And that conversation, in my opinion, should be over. But Jalen Brown saying, this is his favorite season. I don't think it's a coincidence that it's the season where he's the clear cut number one guy on the team. And so now when Jason Tatum returns, is it still his favorite season? Or like, where the 62 games his favorite season? And now I agree with you. Like, he wants to win. Part of why he reupped here. He's staying here. I think he and Tatum don't need to be friends off the court to play together on the court. But that is such a big part. So because I've heard, not just YouTube, I've heard a lot of people say, well, they want to title together. And like, they've played out together for a long time. True. But not when Jalen Brown was this close to winning an MVP award. And now he sees Tatum return. That's why I think it's different. We don't know how they're going to react. I think we've talked about this in the past, though, that Jalen Brown's always viewed himself as this player. Like, this is who Jalen Brown has always been.

So to him, none of this is different. Like, this is who he is. But he says he sacrificed a lot in years past. Again, these are words that he's also said that Jason Tatum sacrificed. It's gone both ways. So that kind of does, and people get caught up in the sacrifice. Like everyone on the team last two years sacrificed. Like, but Jalen, I mean, again, that was Jalen Brown. We didn't, we didn't make that word up. Jason Tatum for sacrificing. Like, it has gone both ways. But I feel like who do you think it sacrificed more when they were both out? I would agree it was Jalen. Yeah, yeah, I think everyone would. I believe every year, though they've been together, Tatum has scored more points, taken more shots and played more minutes. That's happened every year they've been together. So, you know, so that I think is gonna change. I do too. And I just because the rest of this year, it should be Brown. Tatum, I, I, Brown should be the leading score of the rest of the way. Agreed. And he should play more minutes. He should get more shots. Yes. So we all, all three of us agree on it. I think part of this as well is that like, Jalen Brown, I understand like part of it, like it comes with being the number one guy, but he's also having his best season, like just individually, like beyond just the numbers

and beyond like the way they got opportunities he's gotten. Like this is the best Jalen Brown has looked, like scoring the basketball. Like, yeah, even if Jason Tade was on the floor, this is the best he has looked. Yeah, look, if it's all, if it's gonna change where Jalen's getting most points, most shots, most minutes, maybe Tatum will buy into that and maybe he will be fine sacrificing it. He's never done it. So I don't think it's, I don't think it's lazy to question how it's gonna look. I would argue we don't know. That doesn't mean Tatum won't, but I don't think it's lazy to say, will Tatum buy in on that? And if he does it and Tatum starts getting more shots than Jalen, how's Jalen gonna feel about that? What's best for the team? Like, I don't think that's lazy. I guess I'm just over the whole like, who's team is it? Like Jalen Brown or Jason Tade? Oh, it's Tatum's team. We've been doing this for so long. Yeah, I don't see that it's Joe Masula's team. Like that, they all resonate with his boys. He don't go option C when there's only one. But that's the thing that like everyone hang on. It's Joe Masula's team. So Masula wants to his personality. But if Masula wants Tatum out, Masula gets what he wants? No, out of like, what do you mean? Like out of the team? No, out of the city, if he wants them off the team.

No, well, he, first of all, he wouldn't do that. But that's not the question. If Tatum wants Masula out, would Masula be gone? Long gone. I mean, yeah, it's Tatum's team. It's Tatum's team. Again, that's like just like a, not like a real hypothetical. No, it is a real hypothetical. That's like one person had control over it. Like LeBron's gotten 10 times higher. I'm saying from like, who they, who the leader is? Like right, like they embraced Joe Masula's personality. Therefore, like, it would be his team. Like that, if you're talking about it that way, they're not talking about like, who's team? Like actually, is it? Like, like, that's not the conversation. It's Bill Chesson's team, right? Right bottom. Sign the dotted line. 50% of it, yes. They resonate with the rest of it. Like, who do they resonate with? And that's Joe Masula. Yeah. No, I mean, I guess they like Masula, but I think when you look at like the players, it's in a weird way. I feel like it's Tatum's team, but it's Brown's season. And I feel like Tatum has been there for the whole time. Like, I give him a ton of credit for that. He was with the team the whole time. So it's not like you have a guy parachuting in and like not being involved and be like, all right, guys, my team again. It's like, no, he's been there sitting on the bench

with the team for 62 games. He's seen how they've played as a group. And now he's going to have to work himself in. And I view it as a sales fan as the biggest upgrade to Baylor Shireman that you could possibly get with 20 games to go even him playing 25 minutes or even him being 80% of the guy that he once was, it makes them the instant favorite to win the user conference. Yeah, I agree. They should be in like looking at Detroit as well. Like that's the one team. I think everyone's kind of circling over them, but they can't shoot the basketball. Like they're bottom five in attempts and bottom six and three point percentage. Like that's not going to bowed well come the postseason. And I think with New York, like their defense is just so inconsistent where the Celtics have been, you know, very consistent until the other night when they got blown up by Shireman, they were top five in offense and defense. But I think Keith did bring up a good point the other day where, you know, the Celtics are playing 100% every night. Teams like New York and Detroit, Cleveland, right now Cleveland, might be closer to like 80% and like how far can that bring you?

Like that's a fair question to ask, but like I think right now looking at the Eastern conference, the Celtics have the fewest question marks just on both ends of the floor. And I think Jason Tade only helps that. No, I agree. I think he certainly helps. I do think there's question marks, but I agree, fewest question marks, I think is a good way to put it. All right, so for tonight, Jaylin is 26 and a half, white is 16 and a half, Pritchard's 15 and a half, that Brown number just moved by the way, it was 27. What's Derrick White's threes? Hang on, Tadeem is at 12 and a half. 12 and a half. So fourth on the team, 12 and a half, Vuchavitch is at 11 and a half, Vuch closing strong. So does that sound about right to you? 12 and a half for Tadeem, and would you take over or under? Yeah, that sounds about right. And I'd probably go with the over, because I think it's going to be more, I think that line seems to me like they're projecting like 15 to 20 minutes, I think it's going to be a little bit more, so I'll probably go with the over. Tadeem, one and a half threes over, no, he's going to get them up. I would say over, that's even easier. I think he's going to take more jump shots at least to begin. I, you know, that's a fair expectation.

That's something he's going to be like, easing in, he's going to take a lot more jump shots in threes, so I'm going to take the over. Plus the total in the game is 224 and a half. So if you're looking at it that way too, and you're like, all right, how many points are going to be scored overall? Yep, and by the team. So I like, I like the overs on Tadeem tonight. Tadeem, three and a half boards. I don't know that one. I don't know about that. He's a good rebounder. He's a good rebounder. He's a good rebounder. But is it going to be a kind of timid? Correct. I don't know if you're still going to learn a little bit about. I think the assist is the best bet. Assist is two and a half. Yeah, that's the best bet. He gets three of those, especially you're like, hey guys, I'm back, I'm a team player, and so he's passing them ball a lot, so I bet that's easy over. But for a guy that is just such a good score, if he plays the minutes, I think it's going to be hard for him not to score like 12 and a half. And his first game back at home, just like the emotion of it. I think he, I think the mats are bad too. They're awful. And that, but that cuts both ways. If they're blowing them out, is he going to be out there in the fourth quarter of a blowout? No, he may have put it in his minutes anyway. And also, maybe, maybe the Mavs, and they're bad, that leads to his over.

So I can see that one way or the other. If they're blowing them out, he might sit, and the starters might sit, but they're also horrible. And so that's an easier avenue to all those overs. It's the low enough total. That's why like a Jalen Brown, like a lot of his, he's sort of like, Tatum this year in many ways, where like the over under every night is like 28 and a half, 29 and a half, and you're like, that's probably too much. Because if he doesn't play the fourth quarter, he doesn't need to. So I'd probably go under like Jalen tonight, believe it or not, but over the other, some of the other guys. Do we get the number on the Derek White three? Yes, it's two and a half, sorry. Two and a half, yes. I'd take the over on the, he's going to be the biggest beneficiary of Jason Tatum returning. He's burned me so many times though. I can't touch a Derek White bet. I'll tell you what. You're saying this year though? Or in life? Yeah. Okay, but he's saying Tatum back is going to help Derek. Definitely. That's because he's going to be. How's Erick? Well, you mentioned it earlier, like the two man lineup with them is really good. One of the most efficient on the team, but I think with Derek White, one of his biggest problems this year and is shooting in efficiencies has been a lot of them are spot up threes, where he almost, what, almost 60% of his shots the last two years were catch and shoot, which is one of the most efficient shots in basketball.

These are going to be open catch and shoot. With Jason Tatum back, he's going to start having more catch and shoot. And even if Jason Tatum isn't himself, he's going to have more catch and shoot opportunities because just the gravity that Jason Tatum presents and that teams are going to treat him like he's Jason Tatum until he proves otherwise. So that's going to create opportunities for Derek White. And I think he's definitely the most relieved that Jason Tatum is back because it's going to really boost his shooting numbers. Okay, an emergency pure hoops with Justin Turpin. We call him Turk. Follow him on Twitter at Justin and Turpin. Check him out all over WEEI. Good stuff with Sam Howes. Earlier today talking about some of what we were discussing, the idea of Tatum being around the team and traveling with them. So you can go see that at Justin and Turpin on Twitter. Turp, we appreciate it. As always, thanks so much. All right, guys, thank you, Turp. Okay, we'll get back to your phone call 617-779-793-7. It's a good way to jump in line for WEEI afternoons. Based on the February 2025 Nilson Report, Oh, it certainly is. Time for grabback here on Jones and Keith W.E.I.

Grabback is brought to you by Awakened 180 Weight Loss. Jones, tonight's the night. Jason Tatum, expected to return. He is. They're still keeping us on our toes about this. He is questionable. He is questionable. Seven o'clock ESPN game against Cooper Flag and Dallas. And as a great texture pointed out earlier, we'll scale even know Jason Tatum's out there with a lot of Cooper Flag stories. Where's the game against tonight? Is he doing the call? Oh, it's an ESPN, but is it both? I don't know. But look, one way or the other, Scals not thrilled that Cooper Flag night is interrupted by Jason Tatum's return. If you heard him in the first matchup in Dallas, and I did, it was, it was gross. If the stories you want to share, just the amount of Cooper Flag when he was 15 stories, was just too much. But the official Sports Booker and Island Rich Keefe pick of the week is Celtics cover the number, which at last check was 15 and a half. I am going over 12 and a half points, one and a half, three is two and a half assists. Get in there, because that number's going up.

Yeah, that number's going up, the points. It's a pretty juicy one, so I'm very excited about it. That's one small step for man, one by a bag. Boston Bruins Action, it did not go great for him last night, John. No, they were getting smacked around, pretty good. Final score, six to three in Nashville. They are back on the ice tomorrow at home against Washington at noon 30. Will the roster be intact? Well, it is still the trade deadline. Yeah, it's going on right now. I'm going to invite twice. No, the trade deadline desk is gathering dust. Well, they had their minor league. They got that ECH LR, oh, wait a minute. We have an update from the Celtics, Jason Tatum, available.

Available! Go to your face! Get me my glitter guns! Oh, take that, Mavs. Available. I told you this. You said, will there be an update? I said they might. Well, yes, seriously. Okay, good. I'm actually happy they didn't wait. Look, credit to the Celtics, Tatum and everybody else. They didn't wait until five o'clock when the injury report came out. We all knew he was coming back. It was obvious he's coming back. Now he's back. Yeah, now he's back. According to Nick. Are we just taking Celtics to their account? We're just taking Nick at his word. I'm sure the report update feels about that. Celtics to their account. There it is. Jason Tatum, available. I don't feel good about that. Let me confirm Nick's report. That Jason Tatum is available. You have it now? Yeah, I got it. I got it in my report. Confirmed. Yeah, yeah, good. All right, as long as that's confirmed. It's Tatum's back. I mean, it's back, baby. I'm not surprised. Credit to the Celtics. They're not there. Don't make everybody wait until five o'clock. Good. Good. All right. Feels like you're grabbing on my grab bag.

Grab, grab, grab it on my grab bag. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Grab, grab it on my grab bag. He's a beautiful really honestly, that was beautiful Red Sox spring training baseball All is often running, they got another day game. Second inning, Red Sox with a two-nothing lead. Jones, what have I told you? Yeah. Christian Campbell went yikini, went yikini yak. Oh, nice. Off Justin Verlander. Oh, that's all a favor. I like that. Ooh, Braverman gave that like a big nod down there. Loving it back there. It was like him watching Ted. He's nodding so much. Big nod.

Big nod. I did dip in the Ted season two a little bit on Peacock last night. Hallelujah. Sick Braverman. Hallelujah. What does that mean a little bit? Are they all available? Are they all available? Yeah, they all available. It dumped all eight episodes. I watched one, Nick watched two. So once again, Nick won up and me, but very funny. Well, I had time for the Bruins game. Yeah, nice job. I watched it after. Yeah, I wasn't watching 1998 wrestling. 1999, Nick. Same Valentine's Day massacre. We're like pretty much at like the 20, 70-year anniversary. We're talking about it like it's a random meeting. Yeah, seriously. Yeah. Show a little respect. Opened with gold dust versus blue dust. Educate yourself, Nick. Blue dust. Yeah, blue dust. I'll go home and watch that. Blue meaning was doing like a gimmick where he's representing. It was like a compete level battle meter situation. Or you'd just like take his gimmick. Pretty good. But yeah, Campbell homered. Connolly early is on the mound. And Connor Wong behind the dish. If you're keeping track of it. Oh, nice. Good framer. One of the best. Yeah, one of the best. Oh, oh, oh, it's grabbing.

You know, Jaws and keep the day show. It's grabbing. You know, Let's go in some above. What does he say there? Some of the Super Bowl. I don't know. I didn't have the AZ lyrics com to it. Well, I think he I think he took some liberties. No. I think most of the grab bags people take. I was saying. Some of the words. I don't know. I was there. What is your classic? A lot of games today. Eight games, including one this morning. Jones is still steamed about it. He missed Japan beat Chinese. Chinese Taipei. I did. Uh, 13 love. Uh, Chinese Taipei did get one hit. Nothing. Nothing says kick off the World Baseball Classic. Like starting at 5 30 in the morning when I can't even watch it. They can't all suit themselves to your schedule, Jones. But Joey, Tony Glass did a grand slam. All baseball fans were tweeting about how I got 10 million views.

People are very excited about it. Yeah. They got 10 million views five hours after it happened. Yeah. Nobody saw it live. But good news for you is there are three games going. Count them three games going on right now. Cuba leads Panama three to one. I've had eyes on this one all day. Have you? Yeah. It's on FS two behind. Oh, yeah. We had to look up FS two. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's actually said too much. That's going to be. Well, maybe she give it back to get that monitor to work. We've said that. We've said that. No chance. Once we've said this, FS two is going to be on the bill next month. They're like, we pay for FS two. Pay for what? So yeah, FS two is on. Yon Munkata and Cuba lead Panama three to one. Venezuela with a two one lead on the Netherlands and the fifth. Mexico with an early one nothing lead on great Britain. And in the second inning, Jaren Durran, your right-fielder and lead-off hitter for Mexico. Randy Oroz Arena is batting second.

Who else is in there? Alejandro Kirk. I got a few guys. I think if you guys can feel good about jazz chism, somehow, playing for team Britain. I didn't understand that. Can I get that either? Okay. Puerto Rico, Colombia at six. Nicaragua and Dominican Republic at seven in the United States. Brazil. United States and Brazil at eight. And Chinese Taipei. And they play again tonight. I'm telling you. How is this happening? I'm telling you. Look, this tournament is they're playing in Japan. They have it all figured out this tournament. But they're playing at 10 pm tonight against Chechia. Yeah. That wouldn't be two games one day. What time is it there, Nick? I don't know. Look it up. Okay. Are you sure? I didn't really lose a Clark over here. Are you kind of coming to my side a little bit? A little bit. Yeah, thank you. Well, for these guys, they're going to play double header essentially. That's not fair. Okay. Okay, Keith. Holiday Grab Bag. Oh, the weather outside is frightful. But the Jones and Keith show is so delightful.

Yeah, it is. And since we've really no place to go. Grab bag, grab bag, grab bag. Jones and Keith show them more. I'm not starting. Yeah. So Tarell Owens brought some corn for pop in. Since we really no place to go. Grab bag, grab bag, grab bag. All right. At the box office this week are the theaters this weekend, Jones. The bride. New movie. It's getting odd reviews. Some people on Twitter say it's the worst movie ever. Although the critics Roddy T scores in the 60s. So this is another Frankenstein movie, Maggie Gyllenhaal directing. Jake Gyllenhaal is in it. But Christian Bale plays the monster. Okay. And then what's her name? Who's about to win best actress? Jesse Buckley. Thank you, Nick. Jesse Buckley plays the bride.

Jesse Buckley. Yeah, she plays the bride. Okay. Looks pretty crazy. I don't think I'm going to see it in the theater though. Okay. What have you given your at the risk of burning people up too much here late on the Friday? What have you given your Jake Gyllenhaal hot take? Love Jake Gyllenhaal. What's the take? Oh, they's the best actor. I loved it. I know you said he's like not. Yeah, we were like, he's not in any bad movie. Something like that. But then you're like, no, I mean, he is. He wasn't like bubble boy. It's the back of the day. But I'm saying like, you can take this is something an idea that I have. I want to take people's five best movies and compare them against each other. And I feel like Jake Gyllenhaal's five is sneaky one of the best. So, yeah, yeah. That's like a, you got to look at somebody's prime for the Hall of Fame, right? They're, they're peak. They're peak. You know, you don't just take all their production. There was a crap. Yeah, you don't just want a compiler. No. Yeah, you want to put their top five right up there. He's very good. Jake Gyllenhaal, top five. What's in your Jake Gyllenhaal? Prisoners for sure. Yeah. Zodiac. Brokeback Mountain. Donny Darko. And Nightcrawler.

Right, Nick? Well, I'm leaving outside anything. I don't think so. Pretty good. What is it end of watch or whatever it is? That was really good. That's a lot of good movies. I don't know that. I'm telling you. I don't think the bride's going to be one of those. No. If you could only see the way. She loves me. And maybe we'd understand. Why I feel this way now. Out of. And what I'm still. If you could only see how low her eyes can be when she sells. When she says grab bag. Tonic, not in the bracket. First four out. Yeah, they were right there. I think they were first four out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're screaming about it for sure.

Real mad no tonic. Geno Smith is going to be released by the Raiders. So that Geno Smith experience does not seem to be one that's going to stick. Yeah. So he's available. So add that to the list of quarterbacks. It started last year that are going to be looking for new jobs. You have like Geno Smith. You got Kirk Cousins. You got Tuwa. Takamai. Calibur. The Tuwa report. So they might have to attach a first round pick to Tuwa just to get rid of them. Yeah. It's like Brock Osweiler. Although that was a second round. I think they attached. They had to do the same thing. Yeah. So this guy, what on earth do we do? The best part of Jones and Keith is grab back at 130. Putting the X rated into X. These guys are stooped. Has Bob Ryan tweeted? Yeah. Vasta. Uh, yeah. Yep. So, uh, he did. He responded to somebody who tweeted out the following. The NBA has absolutely no aura.

I just watched the game for five minutes. Dude comes up the court and carries the ball three times. Passes. Next dude travels. It looks like a low energy version of Harlem Globetrotters without the entertainment or tricks. It's not even basketball. Bob Ryan responded. What do you say? Five minutes is not what I would call a good sample size. Sick Greg, bro. Wow. In your face. It's like stink. Yeah. Five minutes. Yeah. Wow. Sorry. Anyway, so that was, that was his burn back. All round 130. He run Jones and Keith. So I guess that's why it's time for grab back. What do you say we find out who the best NBA performer was from last night? I already know. Colin Sexton? Nope. 30 points. Fabulous. Kellell Ware? Nope. 16-11? Nicole Yogic. Baby. 28-12-13.

Precious? Akua? Achua. Achua? 29-12? Or Victor Wemba Yama? 38-16? Yeah. You got to go with him. It was over the pistons too. So I'd go Wemba. Yeah. Good win by Wemba. It's time for Jones and Keith's. Random. Brandon Phillips. Eduardo Munoz. Curtis Blascanic. baseball player of the day. All right. Let's find out who the player was. Shall we? He was a one-time all-star. He finished seventh in the rookie of the year, whilst finishing eighth in the Saiyung in the same year. Oh, wow. That makes any sense. He was a right-handed pitcher, a lefty stick. Okay. Who played seven big league seasons? That's a hint. It is. No doubt. No doubt a hint. Broken to the majors, got those Saiyung and rookie votes in 2006, followed up with an all-star season in 07,

and then hung up the spike. Seven! After the 2012 season, he played four. The Dodgers, Braves, Red Sox, Brewers, and Snakes. So I was going to guess, like, Chen Ming Wang. Okay. It wasn't Yankee. Give me the teams again. What year in Boston? Yeah, exactly. All right. One second. Let me just tell you this. And for the Red Sox, it was the 09 season, where out of the pen, in fact, all out of the pen, he went three and three with two saves. Rookie Uriah, 24 saves. His all-star Uriah, 39 saves. 30 or 18. I remember this guy, which I got to think his name, though. No, sound like. No, no, no. His nickname? Saito? Is that it? Saito? Yeah. What was his first name? Takashi. Takashi. Takashi Saito. Six nine. Nicknamed Sammy. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Nice. He was a good get for them. He had a bunch of saves for a couple of years, but he was like, oh, in a long line of closures,

that you could look at him in three years, had like 30 plus saves, and then we're like, done. Yeah. Are you sure he reached out to Mani about wearing number 24? I hope, really? I think that was his name. Hey, bud. What do you think? He did wear 24 of the Red Sox. Job bill. And like that. He did 09. I like it. Yeah. Because he must have played with him. Was he a teammate of his with the Dodgers? No, I think just because that was his number before. He's like, I'll take a shot and ask Mani if I can wear it. Nice. Yeah, I remember. I remember being pretty excited when they signed him trade-in form, whatever it was. And then I feel like they never used him in like. No, you're like to save. No, like ever in a high-level spot. Yeah. Like not even like eighth inning when they were ahead, setting up. It was like, if they're down two runs in the seventh, they use that guy. Yeah, they must have. He used to be really good while they used this guy. One year, $1.5 million contract. Yeah. He's in and out. Okay. Random ball player. I didn't like that. Each and every Friday here on Jones and Keith, we spent a lot of time talking about Jason Tatum today. If you hadn't heard the news, he is officially back according to the Celtics. Oh, they also have another tweet. You see this?

No. It's, it is a meme, if you will. It is JT. It's Tatum in the air, belly bumping, Peyton Pritchard. Yeah. And it says JT for Tatum. And then Pritchard is us. Cause he's like kind of hugging them too. Pritchard. Yeah. Oh, that's true. So it's like, there was like a little bear hug going on there too. I like it. Where'd it go? I think he's starting. We don't know the answer on that yet. Like, cash those overs. But I would imagine that's what it's going to be. By the way, still time to vote in the Jones and Keith. 1990 slash early 2000s. Heavy metal, new metal grunge. Alternative pop punk, butt rock and rock bands bracket. Mm hmm. I don't think, did it just go final? Did we just go final? Oh, we might have had one. Well, did we get an upset? Hang on. Everything. We did not know. Nope. Oh. Okay. Slipknot. Slipknot. 54% of the vote. What a relief.

Stand only 46%. Got it. My bracket was almost busted already. I feel like there's more one sided matchups in this grunge region than there are in other ones. Just looking at it here. Alison Chains over fuel. Just locked it in. Yeah. By the way, somebody did text. They said, uh, hey, I know why I couldn't vote on the X app. I had to, you have to update. Sometimes you got to do some updates there. Update the app. Yeah. You got to update the app there. Fill up. So maybe that's part of the reason why you weren't able to vote. Somebody did text us that earlier today. Yeah. Uh, so that's up now at Jones and Keith. Twitter and Instagram. Uh, we'll check it with W.E.I. Afternoon. See what they have coming up. Uh, yeah, got heart. Yeah, got Fitsy. Yeah, got Ted. And we'll get you the clip to shore. Hey, y'all. It's Kelly Clarkson with WayFair. Ever order furniture online and wonder, what if? Like, what if it doesn't fit? Uh, little to the light. Oh, wait. Yep. Should have gone with WayFair. Or what if it doesn't hold up? That sofa was 40s old. Should have ordered from WayFair. It's time to offer our Clip to George Jones right for that. Sounds fantastic. What's the Clip to George? Well, it's the Clip of the Day. I'm so glad you asked. But a lackluster NHL trade deadline. I know we still got a little more than an hour for moves to get done, but around the league, not a whole lot going on. I don't want to say it was a wasted trade desk with our own Billy Lanny. We did have some interaction with Billy. I would say not a lot going on on NHL trade deadline day, but that doesn't mean Billy's not covering at all. Do you think it's too quiet? It might be a little too quiet, yeah. Yeah. One captain trade. One captain trade. Pretty much it. What was our other trade this morning? Oh, the Brinkstruck. Bobby Brink. Bobby Brink to Minnesota. Yep. For David. What was it again? Billy? How many? David, what? I have no idea. That's Billy at the trade desk. That's Billy at the trade desk. That doesn't do all the trade. Yeah. No, that's true. Yeah. Okay. David something. David to Professor Frank for who? I'm not looking at the right one. Back to you guys.

All right. All right. All right. That was strong. Yeah. That's pretty much how the deadline went. Nobody really did much or Cory Perry, I guess, to Tampa. It's really pretty quiet. We got a text from a mutual friend, Keith, who said, I love the thought of Billy Lanny sitting at the breaking news desk with a giant cup of Tim Hortons. Just wait, just wait, gobbling up the news as it comes in. There hasn't been much today. It's been. Here's a coffee to keep you awake with that deadline. Yeah, no. It has been. I said the other day, I thought the Bruins deadline would be a dud. I didn't realize that meant a whole league. I wasn't ready for that. All the big trades were like the last couple days. Yeah, I guess that's true. I got an idea. Yes. I got a free brand, the NHL Trade Deadline desk, and we change it to the NFL free agency desk. Billy, I got a free agency desk on Monday, Tuesday. Yeah. All right. Legal tampering starts on Monday. People want to know who's going where. Yeah, I think. All right. Well, yeah, Billy, you just, you stay right there until Monday. Yeah. And we'll get that. Well, we might get some NHL trades during WWE EI afternoons. Hard is here. It's going on hard. It's up, fellas. You know, TGIF, am I right? You're damn right.

Absolutely. Do you see the Patriots let the State Department use aircraft one to get some people out of the Middle East? A snarky response is obviously, do they complain about the Wi-Fi? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I'll just stay here. I'm good. I've heard about this plane. The players. I read the PA grades. Is that rocket fire? Or is that just a backfire ring of the plane? Yeah, exactly. You guys blow a piston or something. Uh, yes. A WWE EI afternoons. Jason Tatum Day. How about that? He's available. He's available. You know, that means DNPCD is still in a possibility. Joma Zulu would become my favorite coach of all time. If he DNPCD. Jason Tatum. I didn't think you were ready. I know you were clear, but I didn't think you were ready. I feel like five hours have come out yet. That's right. I can't make you. I don't know how to answer. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, obviously we'll be leading off with that. And all this AJ Brown stuff, which suddenly feels like more people don't want AJ Brown than do.

Ooh. In New England. Well, there are a lot of peers people. A lot of them. We're not about influential Alec peers, but is that about the, is that about AJ Brown or is about the cost? I don't know. We're going to get into that debate. There's a lot of ways you could take that. One I can't say on the air would be the snarky response. I'll keep that to myself. Okay. So we all stay out of trouble. But now like AJ Brown is now, because to the Eagles have the leverage. Everybody says the Eagle. How do they have the leverage? They don't. The guy who already hates you as you watched you shop him nonstop. Well. And you think he's going to come back and play ball. I get good soldier. You're talking about this a little bit. Maybe off the air before the show. I'm trying to remember. But they maybe got a tiny bit of leverage back because the patch released digs. But overall, they have the bills traded for like a team that needed a receiver came off the market. True. Fair. So everyone knows they're trying to second round. And they're crazy ass receiver is getting angrier by the day. Everyone knows they're trading him. Yeah. Including him. The Eagles do not have leverage yet. No leverage at all. So it's not going to be a one of three and a player. Do you want AJ Brown or not? On the bulky knee or whatever that problem he has is like, I want him.

I'll thank him. He's a number one wide receiver. He's proven that he rolls out of bed and gives you like seven touchdowns in a thousand yards. That's better than digs. So yes, I want him. I mean, his worst year as Alec Pierce is best year. Right. You know what I mean? So like, yeah, I don't really think it's that way. It's great. May somewhere is like, yeah, get it. Don't overthink this. Can you give me AJ Brown? So I can have a nice jump again. Mm-hmm. Well, dial him up. This one, seven, seven, seven, seven, nine, seven, ninety, three, seven. You can jump in line for WEEI afternoons. The crossover is brought to you by the 99 restaurant. Big on flavor, big on comfort, and big on value at the nines. They're 14, 99 big deal meals now available every day all day. So hurry in today for their juicy chops. Sirloin, you got to love the nines. Everybody have a great weekend. We are back with free agency kicking off on Monday, legal tampering. On Monday, Keith Billy Lanny will be at the NFL free agency desk. We also have Kent Laird, make it his debut. Spring training, play by play debut on Sunday. That's right. Probably want to react to some of that on Monday as well. It all starts at 10 here on WEEI.
