Maintaining one's physical condition  and taking precautions to lower the risk of contracting various  diseases constitutes being healthy. Health is the body's innate capacity  to adjust to the physical and psychological changes to which it is  subjected. There are many reasons for being unhealthy, like an unsound  diet, excessive weight, and Drug abuse: Amphetamines, cannabis  (marijuana), cocaine, and heroin, are just a few of the drugs that can  raise your risk of cardiac disease, depression, and stroke, stress, and  consumption of Alcohol and Smoking. Poor health has observable signs,  like unexpected Weight Gain or Loss, Chest Pain, fatigue, or weakness,  Skin discoloration, Changes in Emotions and Behavior, Developing Anxiety  and sweating, and effects on hunger. A balanced diet is one that includes a variety of foods in the right amounts and ratios to meet the  body's needs for calories, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and other nutrients. Lack of any essential nutrient in the diet can lead to deficiency diseases, like scurvy, goiter, rickets, night- blindness,  etc. There are different tips to make a person stay healthy and fit,  like keeping a track of your weight, eating a balanced diet, exercising  regularly, sleeping well, avoiding drugs, smoking, and alcohol, etc.
