How To Get A Man To Propose (It's Not What You Think)

0:00Welcome to Let It Be Easy with Susie Moore. I have to tell you something that happened to me in the nail salon about a week ago. I got there, sat down, had my regular manicurist ordered my wine. It was just like a lovely afternoon as usual. And I got chatting to the girl next to me. We started talking about nails, of course, a bit about my amy where we live and specifically the neighborhood in which we live. And you know, it's just one of those stranger conversations that happens here and there, especially when I'm in a good mood and I'm energized. Normally, I don't necessarily speak to people, but this one of these days was an exception. And she was kind of wrapping up not too long after I sat down. And she said, as she left, these are my engagement nails. And I looked at her lovely money.

1:01It was a French money, I would say that's quite classic for an engagement shoot. And I said, my gosh, congrats. Are you engaged? And she said no, but I think it's happening this weekend. My friends, why am I telling you this story? Now, I don't know this girl's name. I have not been able to follow up and not check in with her. Nor do I even need or want to. But I will tell you this. I bet you any money that girl got engaged. Why was it because of her amazing glossy shiny nails? No. It's because she was moving in faith, right? The Bible says faith without works is dead. And there's a line that sometimes you hear. It's in a lot of kind of older school personal development books. This expression dig your ditches. Dig your ditches. It comes from, I looked it up actually from the Bible.

2:03It's in two kings, apparently. And people are told, because people are told to dig their ditches before the rain arrives. Okay, basically, of course, there are biblical stories about this. But this is everyday life that we're talking about here. It's acting in faith before the evidence shows up. Are you doing this? I told this story a million times, but I bought my first national morning TV show dress before I was ever invited on the today show. I wasn't going to panic about what to wear. I had it hanging up in my closet, a gorgeous burgundy dress. That my friends is digging your ditches. When I made my first hire in my business, I remember thinking, oh my gosh, who am I? Some mogul who's got, who's got a team. I didn't even necessarily know for sure that I could forecast expenses further enough ahead to support the team I was slowly employing.

3:04But that, my friend, is digging your ditches. Investing in stuff, your energy, your time, your money, putting your money where your mouth is. I mean, think about it. The manicure place where I go is expensive. I miss girl, clearly got a style that was very engagement-friendly. And I thought I have to do a pod about this, because we can't just hope. We can't just imagine. We can't just believe manifesting is sitting on the sofa dreaming about what we want to be doing. It is moving in faith. Assume it's already done. Take the action, live in body. The you that you are becoming. And take the action first. What can you be doing this week that sets future you up for perfect success? No, I want to get engaged with a bad manicure. Am I right? What about you? What do you want? Are you prepared?
