How to Cultivate Growth in your Children

About this episode

Helping our children grow is something that is a gray area as a parent and such a dance between you and each child.  With one of your children, you might see they are ready for independence in an area at 5 and then you have another child, and they aren't ready for that until they are 6. This is such a hard balance for us as parents and it's never done perfectly, but there are principles we can glean from and refer to when making these decisions.  We like to think of it as tending to a plant and wanting that plant to grow and thrive and be the best it can be.  This requires care and effort.  We have to pay attention to the plant, sometimes it needs pruning, sometimes it needs watering, sometimes we water it too much or too little, but as long as we have the knowledge to care for each of our plants and we are paying attention to them, they will grow and flourish.  This is such a great analogy to think of when trying to cultivate growth in our kids.  So, let's dive in to this episode and learn and grow together!
