The term misery index used to mean joblessness and the higher cost of living. It's much more than that.. What is the misery index today? Of course, it’s inflation, businesses is shutting down, the high crime rate, the lack of respect around the world, the covid lockdowns and the possibility we could get into nuclear war. Then we would have a real misery index, because nothing we know would be the same. I don’t think the misery index has gotten high enough. Too many voted for those who oversaw the misery that were already in. They voted for the Democrat candidates. And misery is promising to get much worse. How much misery can Americans accept? Especially when that misery is imposed on them by people who really don’t care? Considering what we saw a couple weeks ago, I don’t think the misery is high enough yet.
