About this episode
France is plunged into political crisis as another Prime Minister is shown the door by parliament. After losing a confidence vote. Francois Bayrou is the fourth to go during President Emmanuel Macron’s second term. Bayrou wanted support for his austerity measures, but instead was rejected by two thirds of deputies. France is not only facing a political crisis, but an economic one, as its debt balloons. Some are calling for President Macron to resign, others for elections. But he says he’ll do neither. So how will France solve its debt crisis? And does it need help from the EU?
