set up this extra point. It's time for the extra point with Molleen Ha on 104 three the score. All right guys here we go the extra point there have been seven players selected by the Bears that is their group for 2026. How many of them will start a game next season and can you please name those guys? I will say five. There will be five starters but let me go through real quick. Wow Dylan Theaneman will start every game. Wow he's going to be a regular and he's going to be the guy. I believe that Logan Jones will start by the second half of the season. So he may start a majority of the games if he's counting that that's more than eight. Malik Muhammad will be a spot starter injury depending on matchups you know by Tyree Stevenson and Jaylen Johnson can you play a full season? Are we sure that he can do that? Not doubting it but you need depth of the
position you draft him in the fourth round he's got second round talent he's going to be a guy that starts. So that's four Sam Raus just because they're going to be a 13 personnel to start some games and I think when you're in 13 personnel you're going to have a starter there so I guess that Sam Raus is five and I got to say Jordan Vandenberg. Jordan Vandenberg is going to be somebody that is a big surprise at defensive tackle. He's lighted in there for one or two starts. He'll make the team. Make the team by the end of the season. That's the big surprise. You know attrition is a reality on the defensive line and there's a there's a faction of Bears coaches that love this kid so that's my that's my story. I'm sticking to it. We have five stars. So when I said I kind of maybe this is how we got to this question I kind of hinted at this yesterday and I got a look my number was much lower than yours. Yes. I'm going to use the technicality if five guys will start a game. Five rookies will start a game. A game. A game. At least a game.
Yeah and I mean I think that I think that the strong safety is going to start you know every game assuming health right he's I'm going to predict that the Iowa Center beats out he wins the job and camp. That's that's two. I agree because you could start in nickel okay you could start the game in nickel that we will see a start or two and to your point about health with either one of those cornerbacks Malik Muhammad but then I need I need to know a ruling okay so that's three I've got three guys I need a ruling you know is your kickoff returner no consider to start no okay then three I have three because I would if it was then I would say Zavian Thomas starts because he's I wouldn't consider that started would you Mully no no Mully was a hard no that's a hard no all stop so I answered three yeah I mean listen like this is difficult because we got five starters out of seven man draft that's that blows my mind I just I'm trying to come
we didn't like the draft I like to know didn't all right I'm going with I think Thinamann will start and I think that Jones will start I don't know how many games to pick on that I got to wait and see who makes the team and who doesn't but I think if you've got two starters out of a draft that's good draft I'm not willing to wish injury on anyone and say that that thank God we got rid of all those guys I'm sorry I'm going with I'm going with two two players and and what the way I took this question so I didn't it's not whether someone gets a spot start some it's some point if that were the case I'd have to go three because you know things happen all that but I think legitimately you
got two starters out of the draft I do think Logan Jones will end up starting games by the end of the year and I do think that Thinamann will be a day one star by that criteria I would say three I would say Thinamann Jones and Muhammad okay but I think five rookies will start games I heard you and I'm I mean all right I hope they manipulated so you're right I hope they all start the same game I'll go the other way that would be something something to track oh wow okay it's just blows my mind a little bit I just didn't you know ideally you don't rush people under the field or you try to put them in positions or you don't just start them to hit a number I love that I blew your mind you totally blew my mind I mean you have you have a defensive tackle through the six round star I we got to take a break we've got Kirk Farens the Iowa head coach is going to talk to us
about one of his great charges the Bears second round draft pick can't wait to get his take on all of it what a what a long time sensational coach and Kirk Farens really a joy to get a chance to pick his brain a little bit next and we will do so mulley and ho on the score
