How Curve Balls Create Resilience - Wellbeing Wisdom Tiny Bites Podcast
About this episode
Has life just thrown you a huge curve ball? It could be a car wreck, a job loss, a relationship loss, or even the loss of a loved one.
Curve balls hurt when they hit you, and it can be easy to feel as though that pain will last forever. It doesn’t have to, and it won’t unless you allow it to.
As soon as you can dress yourself, start making decisions. Decisions help you feel alive and in control. Ask your friends for help. Allowing them to help you cements your friendship and supports you through a tough time. Change your routines so you’re not going through your day the way you did before the curve ball landed in your life.
Getting through a major shift in life is a mental game you can play to help you feel less alone, more alive, and more confident in yourself and your abilities once you’ve made it to the other side of the pain. Curve balls create resilience, and since resilience is a good thing, maybe life’s curve balls are, too.
