Houston Men's Basketball Sweeps Baylor, Secures Top Seed

The Cougars completed a season sweep against their old rivals and finished with a 15-1 home record for the year. Their starting back court of two seniors and one freshman combined for 47 points in the victory. The game started rough for Houston as Baylor jumped ahead with hot three points shooting and built the lead as big as 10 points. But the Cougars flipped the script with a 23-6 run late in the game, fueled by Baylor turnovers and key threes from their guards. Freshman standout Kingston Fleming's lead with 20 points and 7 assists, showing pro-level speed and physicality that drew praise from Baylor's. Coach Senior Emanuel Sharp added five threes, capping a five-year run where he became the program's deep shooting leader, despite early injuries. This March's Houston's fifth straight win over Baylor in Big 12 play, boosting their record to 25 and 5 overall and 13 and 4 N.
