5:02On this day, when you had teammates with the Yankees, announcing they had traded their wives and children, you traded families. This is Fritz Peterson in my package. I mean, it's one thing to trade your wife, I guess, but like, are you trading your family in a kid to be named later? But, and I still go back to, can you do a movie on this? And I was told that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were at least working on a script or they got a script, but they haven't done it. I think I asked Matt Damon about it. And he said he didn't know where it kind of stood when we had him on last couple of years. But Fritz Peterson in my package traded wives and children. Did that make the transaction wire? You know, where like, you have trades or somebody's released.

6:02These guys traded wives and families. Yes, Paulie. Yeah, I'm looking back at this story. I think we talked about this. Wouldn't you, if you could have a piece of video, whoever broached this topic to whomever, that's a tough starting conversation. I don't know how that works. Like, you're happy hour. Like, this was mutual? I can't believe it's mutual. But I gotta believe you're talking, I can't what point do you say in your wife's hot? They announced the swap in late 72, or they did the swap in late 72, and then announced it to the public before spring training in 73. Peterson and Kekic stayed together for the rest of his life. They married and then the other couple quickly separated. I didn't last very long. Well, wait a minute. It's like, dude, I tried to tell you. That's why do you think I was swapping? What do you think I was trying to get out of that? I tried to tell you. Kekic and Marilyn Peterson, I didn't work out. It didn't. Okay. I think both guys ended up going to Cleveland to play baseball

7:02at the same time. But Fritz Peterson stayed with his wife and family. That's right. Okay. Yes, Todd. Whatever team had initiated that conversation has to do it in just it first. It would be funny if we just, and then just to see what the reaction is. You should have been an advisor. You should be an advisor on this movie. That would be perfect. That's what you have to do, Bill. You know it would be crazy. Switch lives and kids. And if the other person is like, are you crazy? Or they say, you know what? I was thinking the same thing. I don't know how you get to the point where you just go, man, crazy dream last night. Yeah. What was it about? We switched families. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's not that crazy. That played by Owen Wilson. Oh, did I sound Owen Wilson? Yeah. He'd be great for this. Yeah. I could see. Yeah. I don't know if he can throw baseball. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then we switched families. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. All right. Yes, Marvin. But you also sounded like Jennifer Coolidge.

8:03I know I did. I was just thinking, can I get Jennifer Coolidge in there? Right. Yeah. I'm Stiffler's mother. Yeah. Yeah, Paul. One of the players for its Peterson, the more successful guy in the trade, he died just three years ago at age 81. God, we should have had him on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I miss that opportunity. But I wonder if they get phone calls on this day, because it's not brought up any other time of the year. Did they get together like the dolphins do every time? Yeah. So again. How do you tell your kids you trade in your kids? Guys, come here. I have something I'm going to tell you. Your wife and I are splitting up, but we're also splitting up as well. You're going to go with mom, and you're going to go to Mr. Peterson's house. Why?

9:04Well, we're switching families. And it's no longer Mr. Peterson. It's not daddy. Yes, Todd. You can't really expect anything remotely good for Father's Day from either the kids. You're actual ones that you gave up, and now you've got the new ones, but they're old, then. I just can't imagine how the conversation comes on. And maybe it is where... Man, you wouldn't believe what I... I thought about this last night. It had to start with one of them. And then you have to talk to the other one. But then at what point do you realize I got to get together with his wife. I got to find out if I want to make this trade. Do you bring in the general manager to negotiate things on your behalf? Because they could get heated. I don't know. Well, I don't think they're doing it against their will. It feels like they agreed to do it. I just don't know. Do the wives go... Yeah!

10:05You got to be careful in how you answer. Where you go, hun? I think we're going to switch families. Like, she can't go... I have! Thumbs up! You got to be... Why? And then all of a sudden, you know, you got to calm her down a little bit. You got to soften it a little bit. Yes, Todd. And you can't say to your teammate, I'll take Michelle, but you got to throw in that car. You know I love your car. I'll take your wife, but I'm only taking two of the kids, okay? I can't take those other two. Yes, point. In all seriousness. I'm being very serious. No, this should be a movie. This would be a fantastic, either movie or like, three-part series on Netflix. You should call some people that you know. No, no, no. As far as, like, getting this produced, we know something. No, no, no. Because, you know, one of the main characters has passed away. You already had the opportunity to do it if they would have appeared on camera. But it's a documentary drama.

11:06But talk... No, I hate documentary dramas. They're reenactment. I don't like that. But you had, you know, a few years ago, and maybe somebody did do an interview with both of them and did talk about this, yes, point. We passed over the obvious. The guy's name was Fritz. Oh. So obvious. I just noticed it. I think it's someone doing something creepy with that hand. I simply would be like, what did you do? Yes, so Fritz Peterson, my package. They traded wives and children. Yes, Morgan. And what if one of the wives was like, you know what I thought Fritz was so handsome, so I mean? What if one said, hey, I don't think I'm into it. But the other, you know, you can't have take bags, right? No. Yeah. You know, on second thought. Yes, Paul. More of a lease than that. 39 months. Yeah. Mike Keckich.

12:06I got reports still alive, still with us. Okay. Yes, yes, Todd. You also have to start with like a swingers weekend, just to see how it goes for a couple of days, go like up in the mountains, and then you guys report back to each other. You're going to take a test drive. You do. Yeah. Wow. Do you have to trade the family? Do you have to get married? You guys want to go on a cruise this summer? Yeah. Sure. Oh. Can't you just be swingers with each other? I feel like it's the kind of thing that happens on cruises. I don't know why. Yeah. I feel like cruises is just, I haven't been on a cruise before. I've never been on a cruise. Neither. But there are people who swear by the cruises. Whenever you talk about a vacation, and they'll be like, oh, you know, we're going to go to Istanbul, we're going to go to Croatia, we're going to go on a cruise, and I'll go, oh, okay. I said, do you love cruise? Oh, yeah. It's the only way to go. Cruise. Yes, Todd. I've been on a number of cruises, and I could speak for the larger community that like all you can eat, everything that's always at one or two places open 24 hours a day.

13:06But how much they love being on a ship for a week and a half versus the other. There's always something. Is it they or you? I think I could speak. I think if you took a poll and you took weights and heights, you'd be surprised to see how many people that love the cruise. Carmelo Anthony was talking about Jason Tatum coming back to the Celtics, and he was on the 7pm in Brooklyn podcast. Is this his podcast, Marvin? It is. 7pm in Brooklyn podcast, and Carmelo Anthony had this to say about Jason Tatum returning to the Celtics. Jay Beek could get them there. He could get them to the Easter conference finals. Now, winning, you're going to need a full stream of Jason Tatum. How tricky is it bringing a star player back to a team that's like already in rhythm? It could be tricky. If you don't establish it early, because right now, Jaylen is holding a fort down. You don't want to f*** that up. The excitement of bringing JT back is going to uplift everybody,

14:06but how you implement him is very important. I'm sure the front office, Angel Mizzoula is stinking like holy s***. Like how the f*** am I going to do this? How do I have a conversation with JT and say, hey, we're going to bring you off. Like, let's, what do you think about coming off the bench while you get your rhythm and find your pace? And what do you think about that? That's a tough conversation. Especially with somebody who already put out this, I'm coming back to be Jason Tatum. And the team's playing good. They're second in the East, right? And great. And I'm playing great. You know what I mean? Well, I think you can have the conversation and just say, we're going to ease you back into the lineup. We're not winning an NBA title in March. We'll win one in June. Yes, he can. It's kind of feels like a part of the reason why this is so tricky is because, man, it feels like last couple of years it really could have been Jalen Brown's team anyway. I think people were, yes, I think people wanted that to happen almost. Like it became a better story. Like, you know, Tatum's not even the best player in his own team. Correct. Jalen Brown. Yes. That's his dog.

15:06Right. Hey, Jalen Brown was the finals MVP. Yes. So it was essentially his team, especially when it came down to the course time in the finals. But I would ease Jason Tatum in. I would just say this is, this is the game plan here. Let's do a minutes. Let's see how you feel. Maybe we don't do back-to-back, but maybe you don't go on all the road trip. Whatever it is, we want you to be ready to go in May and June. Not now. Yes, Mark. And what about guys like Derek White in the mail, Caitlin Clark? Like, they've been on a tear lately. Like Payton Pritchard has been killing it. And now it's like, hey, Jason Tatum is back. Those 18 shots. Now those are eight shots. And they got to get back in a different rhythm too now that Jason Tatum is back taking, you know, his normal amount of shots. But you need Jason Tatum to win the title. Without question. Because if you play OKC, and you don't have Jason Tatum, you're not going to beat them in a seven game series. But with Jason Tatum, with now these role players stepping up, getting a taste of this,

16:06I just think they're formidable. I really do. And they're fun to watch. Just because you're going limit. Who's that guy? You know, this guy's contributing. It is Jalen Brown's team, and he's played well. And he'll be probably top five MVP candidate. Yes, Mark. Do you think the judges can win the East without Jason Tatum? Safety doesn't come back at all this year. You think they can win the East? Yes. Yeah, I'm not sold on Cleveland Detroit, the NICS. I mean, pistons are relatively new to this. You know, they were shot and they made the playoffs last year. But I'm not, I'm not sold on any team being the, oh, you're not going to get by them. All right. And then the next Steelers quarterback, but Aaron Rogers' next team only has 6.5% of that vote. Yeah. People don't really care where he's going. But they do want to know who the, who the Steelers quarterback is. And they do really want to know who he's married to. Yes, Todd. What if you can trade your wife and kids for what's behind curtain number three? And you have no idea. It could be a supermodel in the greatest kids in the world or a total disaster and be a zonk. I thought that we moved on from this topic. I can't bring it back for a second. That is a poll suggestion. Okay. If I said that you had to give up your wife and your two children. And you just don't know what's behind curtain number three. Yeah. Nobody's taken that. What if it's two just wonderful, adorable, well-behaved kids and a supermodel? There are people out there that would make that choice. I would not for the record. Well, you just brought it up. I brought it up for others to decide what they would do. No, you knew passive aggressive.

19:09Yeah, maybe I don't like the whole going both ways. Got a thing. I like what it's just me making the decision. Yeah, it'd be uncomfortable with that. But if she can pull something like that, God bless her. Maybe I should just step back and go, you know what? Maybe that's in your best. If she could pull something, I could see the kids periodically. 25:17I just... You know, I always talk about I need teams and teams and for here, between my ears, these teams. And I just... Man, I love having those teams, whether it's training players or... I have a May guys. My whole guys were getting older now. We're being a little smarter with what we do in our heads, but just training players. You know, the guy I really took on this year, full-time, if you will, was AJ Barnard. We did a great job, obviously, with Seattle. But you don't find guys like that as much anymore. Players are different now than they used to be. When I used to train, you know, so many guys in the off season. And, you know, I always tell these guys that being famous ain't the same as being great. And a lot of these guys just come in now because they're so famous, they don't have a need to be great. They don't put that same work in. AJ did. AJ, man, he just... He even came out during the bottom week for a little tune-up, which guys normally don't do. But I just... I love it, dude. If I can help make somebody better, you know, that helps me again here. That's why. Give me the current NFL player who you think could be great in UFC. Oh, Miles Garrett.

26:17I try to... The browser, like a month, put his hands on me. That sucked. That was terrible, man. That was awful. Oh, Mercedes Lewis. If he still qualifies here, I've had him for about 17 years. Mercedes throws kicks and, you know, jujitsu, everything. He's like really a student of it. I always said, like, he's not current, but Kyle Long was a... He's... You know, if I didn't ever wrestle Kyle Long, I would be at least 5-7 and a half now. But I'm trying to think current, guys, who just feel really violent. Yeah, there's not a... Oh, Max calls me. Max actually legitimately trains. By the way, is he... He's done with the Raiders? I don't think I'm going back, but, you know, it's up to the Raiders. They're the ones who hold the cards in this right now. But he could... I guess he could retire and force their hand. Yeah, he can, but, you know, he loves football.

27:20You know, it was interesting when we... When I talk about guys, you know, want to be great and, you know, try to be great instead of famous, when he came out to my gym with train, he was just like, I said, we're starting at 5.45, right? And I'm like, 5.45 in the morning? He's like, yeah, that's what's how I'm starting. I'm like, hey, dude, I'm... I come at 11. Okay, so we're going to 11.45. He's like, well, I started at 5.45. And sure enough, 5.45 every day. He goes on a train and he does, you know, pre-hab. And, you know, stretching and mobility and speed and agility and lifts. And then we do the MMA part. And then after that, he does a little bit more strength and say, and then more hips and then rehab and, you know, all this treatment and stuff. And it was every day, man. It was like 5.45 in the morning until like two or three. And that's where you look for like all the guys that we're friends with back in the day. That's the other way they got famous. It'd be great. The other way to be great back then is to outwork the world. Like I tell you guys, the blueprint for greatness is not hard.

28:20Find who the best is and do more than them. But most people just aren't willing to do it. I haven't asked him how many of you guys like do this, but he's like, oh, I offered to everybody, but they don't. And that's like today's athlete. That's not how they're wired. But all the great ones, that's how they're wired, right? And I just never got it. I never understood if that's what you have to do, just put in more work. You don't necessarily have to be more talented. Why don't you? And it's like if you have a full NFL career, you're retired. 32. Think about that then in people years. 32, right? It's young. You can go out there and do whatever you want after that. 34. It's young. I just never got it. Do you think Michael Parsons wants to be famous more than he wants to be great? No, I think it's, but I think that's today's athlete. I definitely think he wants to be great. But yeah, I think without a doubt, like me have podcasted with your own teammates, about your team and stuff during the season, things like that.

29:21Look, I was around straight in who would be like the first of these guys. And you know, he drove me back in New York City every day. When I was too broke to be able to pay for it. Somebody in bus fare back and forth. And football was always first, first, first by a mile. He sent the other stuff in when it, when he was okay with it. But football was for he did so much film work and so much work enough. And it like extra work extra work extra work and everybody thought of the other way. It was never the other way. I don't think it's the other way from Mike either, but just seemed so much bigger. Could have all the other stuff he does. All right. Let's run down some of these situations. Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers. I don't think he's there yet here. And I haven't talked to him. I saw him on Pat yesterday. I haven't talked for a while. You know, we trained together last all season. So I don't know where his mindset is. I do love what he said about Mike. And he's brought like Mike is.

30:21McCarthy is. Man, I told him at the combine. I said, the unit coach, the Packers, Cowboys, and now the Steelers, your hometown team. And like his parents were right there in front, like the front row. And he's like, I couldn't get past like three words without crying. Like he grew up right around the corner. I said, so you coach these three teams Mike. I don't know who you were in a previous life, but God has blessed you. I think you're like Jonas Salk and you're. You're polio. Here's your reward. It's unbelievable. But the fact that he appreciates Mike this much now was really good to see. Because Mike is great. You get a memory of people forget. It was so bad on Aaron. When they decided, okay, we're not going to. And I was right there through all this stuff with that. When Farve kept retiring. Retiring. Retiring. Retiring. Retiring. Retiring. Retiring. Retiring. Retiring. And finally at the end, they're like, hey, we're going with Aaron.

31:21There is people picketing outside Lambo that they didn't want Aaron there. This kid is youngster. And for him to be able to deal with this and become the guy he became. That's why Jordan Love also has much stronger mental health than anybody gives him credit for. To be able to deal with that to replace Aaron. But man, Aaron, they were picking their flying helicopters and planes over and. And look at the year he had that year and the career after that. And that's just Mike really is a great with developing guys like that. What do you do with him? What do you do with Jack? And whoever he's going to be able to develop over there and in Pittsburgh. I don't know what that is right now. I know they're like Will Howard, but I don't know if that's their long term. He's not really. He hasn't been around him enough to really know that. But I think of Aaron once come back and play another year. I'm sure they're welcome welcome with open arms. And I know Pittsburgh liked him a lot. They did. What about the organization? What about Kyler Murray? Where does he land? Where should he land? Okay. But he and two of should say, okay, I want to go and try to learn.

32:23And the college had in. Carol Connell, Sean McVeigh, Matt LaFour, one of these guys. And Andy Reed and Sean Peyton, but I don't see that. Because not a lot of quarterback developers, but you know, it's talking to, you know, the college had in this year. And Carol Connell kind of had the same thing when he was talking about how you. Take these guys and and re program the Mac Jones, the world of Daniel Jones. And, and you know, remember, uh, shout out to the enemy. For these guys, you just got to get them. They're so beat up. You got to get them to play on a parade. And if you could start doing that, give them a cut. So it's basically like, I want to play fast. But at the same time, I want them to play fearless. That's what it's fearless. If you get them to be fearless again, then they're a God-given talent, which made them a top 10 pick. Starts coming back out, but they're so beat up. They're afraid to go do it. They're afraid to pull the trigger. So he said, that's the number one thing. First, but also like the floor, what he did with the league willis, uh, with his footwork, phenomenal. You know, with a lot of these guys over there with Kevin O'Connell,

33:23what he could do with those guys, technique wise. I would go and learn. So if I'm calling them, yeah, I go try and get with Kevin O'Connell, like, I'm, I, if I'm a player, I'd already be tampering. Here's the other way around. Uh, we're talking to Jake laser NFL and Fox insider. Uh, the market for two. I don't see, you know, there's options out there for people right now, but same thing. I don't know if there's a, I don't think there's a huge market. Um, and part of that also is, you know, he's a hit away from here. Right. So I think if you want to bring somebody in, it's got to be almost like, hey, who, who loves them. Um, I don't, I haven't anybody say it yet to this point. I think somebody will bring them in and take a flyer, but I think Collar will have a much bigger. Uh, people go, you know, after Collar more than they will. What about Atlanta for two? Uh, yeah, but I'm saying I'm, if I'm Atlanta, I'm looking at Collar.

34:23Okay. You know, um, I think Collar is, you know, he, he jumps out ahead of two right now. Um, and look, I, I can't say a lot of things. I just haven't talked to like Matt Ronnie and kind of him. That's the fans give about two, but also to again, like, let's say everything works out. He's still, you know, I haven't really protected himself much. Right. Up here, right when he, you know, um, with concussion. So let's say things work out, right? And also, man, he takes a day and then week seven, then you're back to square one. So I, I think even if you have to, you got to have somebody else in place there. What do you make of the, uh, Rams chiefs trade? You don't get too many blockbusters like this in early March. Yeah, and I would actually would show them a way this weekend. He was telling me about it and he was like. Over the moon, like, over the moon about this. And, you know, they traded away a lot for him, but Shard is always the type of guy. And you know, I'm surprised about to, because he's always the type of guy like, you know, I'm going for it now. And I think more and more.

35:24And I would say it's surprisingly, I told him this. Surprising more people don't do what he does. Because you know, you're getting with the trumpet coffee with these draft picks now. You know, you hear more, more complaints. Guys, the combine of people like go with the combine, like coaches anymore. It's like, we don't really know. We're getting these guys anymore. You can't really, you know, your interviews, you can't pry. You get such a short period and everybody's, you know, programmed. And I'm in full for that too. I had a bunch of kids this off season. Tom had to, you know, deal with the combine and kind of just be honest with teams. If you had off field troubles and just other things what they're going to ask for. Everything your life down is about team, team, teams. But because they're so programmed, you don't really know what you're getting anymore. And kids don't go through adversity as much anymore, right? You have a problem from the transfer. That's why, by the way, Tennessee went right for Cam War. Because they told me before the combine, that's our guy. Because he'd been through adversity, which we don't find too many guys like that anymore.

36:24So I think, you know, if you have approval command in the NFL, I would trade my picks also. And I'm surprised more teams don't do it because the Rams are in it every single year. And it's a copycat league. And nobody really does it. They still have this old school thing of, man, we got to really reload through the draft. And I get it because if you hit and you have, you know, salary cap relief there for a few years at least. But Sean was, man, he was so over the moon for this. He was, he was well at all and on this. Do we know the timeframe for my homes coming back? Well, is he expected to start the season? The original reports were, you know, kind of on the friends there. But I want to say, Patrick's different. He's different. So he went down. He immediately got the surgery. It flew himself down. I think he flew private down there. Got the surgery. Maybe the next day, which normally they don't do. Because you want to like the swelling. We got a four really swelled up. Right.

37:24And so that was on a Tuesday. I believe it was either Thursday or Friday that week. He was already in the chief's training room doing rehab. And he already had gotten his knee bending at 90 degrees at that point. Which he's just different. He heals differently. This is a guy, you know, who dislocated his kneecap and his leg was turned. He was turned around during the game. And he was like, hey, it's literally he asked. They're trying to break open doctors. Is it broken? No. Okay. Let's go back. You're like, we're not taping up. Your knee is facing that way. And they're like, he's like, no, just tape it. Let's go. And like, you know, he, he had a dislocated toe going into a soup hole. And it fully dislocated. And he never took any time. Like he just finished, finished out the game. His pain threshold is different. His work ethics different. So while at first they're like, oh, you know, start of the season. I think I would probably have done him being, you know, sooner than that.

38:27By far, could he just attack things, man? Like, like Aaron with his, you know, his Achilles. And Joe Borough, who's different too. Joe Borough came back two months early. That's ridiculous from his injury. That was ridiculous. That's probably one of them. That's one of the craziest things I've seen. I have a great three turf toe. And he's done. And I come back, you know, as early as he did. I remember we were, I was in London last time we did the show. Right at the trade deadline. That day he texted me. He's come back. I'm like, come on. Dude, what do you spend your time? Like, I can't do an editable. Is this all serious? And this stupid. Dude, you're rehab. There's no way. And he's like, no, I'm come back. I'm come back. Way sooner than people think. I'm talking like in a couple of weeks. I'm like, dude, there's no, and sure enough. You know, he's just different. And I guess right with Quinn and Williams going to the Cowboys. Dude, that Dave, you are on. Yes. Let me tell you this.

39:28So it's true. It's trade deadline. Dan and I are talking about our stem cell journey together. I'll start. I looked out of my phone. And I'm texted. And he's like, what's going on? No, trade. I said, yeah, it's actually a team asking about Quinn and Williams. And, you know, but they want like a blockbuster form and asking about Quinn and Williams. And he literally said, is the Cowboys? And it was the Cowboys. And I kind of looked up. You look back. I kind of looked like. I know. You joked me a little bit. I'm like, oh, my God. You like, you got, are you, are you, are you put a virus of my phone down now? I'm an insider now, I think. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just don't ask OBJ. He called me an outsider. He did? Yeah. I was right about something. And he, I don't think he liked that I was correct about something with him. And he called me an outsider. He's not sensitive like that. I've had a lot of, look, I reported that he was getting traded from the Giants to another team. And I got mercilessly destroyed by everybody.

40:31Like just, and people started going on to Instagram. And like fans, listen, I'm an insider. My job's to report information that you don't know. You know it. You're not my job. So my job is to give you information you don't know. And when we do it, don't get mad at us. Okay? Or we won't do it. And I put this out there and people started going on to different people who I was training in, I'm breakable celebrities and some of the drug issues. And going on to them saying, I hope you owe deep because you're stupid, you know, training partner and saying, oh, oh, oh, oh, hell is getting traded. Like, it was ridiculous. Wow. And I've been getting some of that for this Max Crosby one, this last season. People tell me how much I don't know. And attacking Rosie and getting after my wife from seeing some racial stuff and just like, it's ridiculous. I got it for Wink Martendell two years ago saying they'd be gone from the Giants. And like, Giants, I've been converted to the team since 93.

41:31If I say something, instead of attacking me, you may want to go call Dr. F. Kennedy or something. Maybe I don't want to be an insider. I'll stay out. I don't pull stuff out of my butt. But that's my job is to come out of left field and tell people things they don't know. And people get so upset, they got upset with the Kevin O'Connell thing a couple years ago that there were teams looking to trade for him. There were four teams that are trying to trade it. And then people got upset that I reported on Sunday. And I'm like, I don't work at Fox Edville. I work for Fox Edville Sunday. It's a really good being an insider, man. But you know what? You know what? You know what? A whole sticks and stones thing. You know, don't break your bones. But words are like, I'm the opposite. sticks and stones won't do a thing to me. But what?
