America leads the world in medicine development. It matters. We get new medicines first, nearly three years faster. Five million Americans go to work because we make medicines here at home, and not relying on other countries keeps us safe. But China is racing to overtake us. Will we let them? Or will we choose to stay ahead? When America leads, America cures. Let's tell Washington to keep us in the lead. Learn how at americacures.com. Pay for by Farma. The window has opened. Barton, Carlin, ESPN, New York. Apparently, the deal for Travis Kelsey is going to be 15 million. Yeah, that's that's like a act of service. Thank you, type of thing. Well, we will keep you updated as they start to come in. The all the deals that will be

happening here as NFL free agency begins. It's Barton, Carlin on ESPN, New York on the ESPN, New York YouTube channel where you can go. You can comment. You can subscribe. And you can be a part of the show and watch it all because why wouldn't you want to at this new clock time, which means what? It's the power hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour hour how many people are just pressing refresh at every last second, right now? Yeah, on Twitter and on Instagram it's so many this is the thing people always look at the big signings they never look at the small signings because usually those are the ones that make the difference right it's the small signings that nobody saw coming that guy just comes in and plays a perfect type of compliment to whatever you need you know so that's what I'm that's what I'm looking for right

you talk about the Tonga kid from from New England and he go somewhere and helps somebody as they just just stand up like defensive lineman right well can't I whoop but those are the guys Kendrick Bourne like these are the guys that that comes in Tim Patrick these are the guys that comes in that helps you win can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait oh you said woof so it must hurt your feelings no it's a big number Indianapolis brings back Alec Pierce four years one hundred sixteen million oh that's like 30 million a year that is just shy of 30 million a year 60 fully guaranteed so so what what is that telling you that's telling you that pitman can be had yes I would certainly tell me the pitman can be a pitman like hold up man this do they know but like a deep threat like hold it what's up give credit where credit is do

McAfee was actually the one who broke it just a few minutes ago well you think you know hometown home team yeah no he's in he's in Indiana he's got all their coverage and they got shifter in Indianapolis with them today so they're covering that over on ESPN all right so that's the first one that falls it's a hundred and fourteen it makes him the highest paid receiver in NFL history that's ridiculous that's absurd you know that that's ridiculous Alec Pierce like we were talking about Alec Pierce in the middle last year like get me prime away yeah you know and I know that he averaged 22 yards of catch the season before he's a nice player but oh my oh my no that's not more than Jamar Chase no no I think it's highest paid no cuz no cuz the market is pretty free agent received free agent right right so far NFL history free another word he Jamar Chase never hit the market Pierce hit the market tall oh see that's see that's free agent yeah see that's that's

semantics that's all right like kind of guy kind of kid like kids can somebody somebody gonna get a guy like somebody gonna get a guy like Romeo dobs it has 84 million in total guarantees 60 without the injury guarantees that's crazy no injury guarantee no no it like 24 million more okay injury guarantee in guarantees 60 fully guaranteed in other words that other 24 million is obviously injury related that and a max of 116 also that means this is elevators in it yeah a lot of days the key is the receiver from the bears gone he's in Atlanta Falcon no big deal there who a lot of days the kids it's like they're a third or fourth receiver who exactly I'm just I'm just message but those are the guys I'm telling you that make the difference well not nice a key is no but Alec Pierce to get that kind of money I mean I let's just what is a 28

and almost 29 a year for Alec Pierce it's like 28.5 a year yo you already know 29 on the dot wow yeah good luck good luck good luck all right listen jets earlier today went and made a deal and they traded with the Miami dolphins gave him a seventh round pick but they got in return make a Fitzpatrick and Fitzpatrick then gets an extension for three years 40 million from the jets a position where they need help and bringing in Mink of Fitzpatrick who I believe turns 30 at the end in at the end of August when I looked earlier this is not a bad deal now is he the same player that he was in Pittsburgh I don't know how much of that had to do with Pittsburgh and how much of it had to do with Miami but certainly that number for Fitzpatrick does not feel like it's ridiculous and a seventh round pick as opposed to signing some of the other safeties out there this was a pretty good move for the jets yeah I mean because

remember Tony Adams is a free agent so the jet no they had issues that at the safety position to begin with so now this gives you Mink of Fitzpatrick of veteran that Malachi Moore can learn from somebody that can mentor him because the jets you know are losing the safety I still wouldn't be you know mad if they bring in a guy like um it's a white boy and have to be more specific white boy from Philly so anyone white safety at Philly yeah no not Eugene that's a corner that's a white corner I said safety blank and ship yeah blank and ship yeah white and ship right I forgot to play the $100,000 pyramid music I really need to get back to that more I haven't done it nearly enough lately it's okay we're hard at thought trying to think of who Bart was referring to it's only one white safety that's starting to leak outside uh yeah it's only one well okay uh is that accurate I don't even know if that's accurate but it's not even important

if that's accurate because it's the aloe aloe he's not Hawaiian so I don't think he white he's indigenous we don't need to get really too deep into it on free agency day okay hmm the point being about making Fitzpatrick that this is a move that the jets I think moved made in a very shrewd way and you are continuing to see where Darren Moosey is making some moves that may not necessarily light you up but they make you feel pretty good about where it's headed you're bringing in talent for what they need and you're not overpaying for anybody at the moment and it's a smart move right you you bring a veteran in you're losing Cisco you get that money back because he was on a one-year deal they cut him so like you're trying to get something you bring him in to replace Cisco who you thought was going to be a veteran playmaker and you know he didn't you know he had it's crazy because he had had a he had a streak of like 800 snaps played or playing at least 800 snaps in his career and of course he comes in just and gets hurt

what did what now that they've done this with the safety what should priority one be right now is it lineback as opposed to quarterback now that I think that market is going to take a while because it's going to be some hard to go shading because a lot of teams are going to a lot of these players are going to want to sell themselves and see if they get another team to bid in so they not bidden to get themselves Dremont Jones to the Patriots he was with the Ravens they had traded for him midseason last year defensive end yeah done really do much for you yeah well they got that with the jets and for me Christian Wilkins is interesting you know he did the whole little weird thing right the teammate last year nobody signed him me he's the first former first round draft pick he's interesting and Brandon IU it's interesting so they haven't they haven't technically released IU yet right yeah they got to do something though yeah I don't know how that works with the cap with Brandon IU at the moment they they they voted away I'm sure it's an arbitration

voted away his guarantees yep like 30 something million dollars in guarantee money yep so that's problematic for him um I don't know exactly what else we're dealing with here on that front because as we look at what else is going to be available if we're going to talk about quarterback yeah earlier today we found out that to a talk about Loa was getting released by the dolphins and that quarterback pool is getting a little deeper by the moment so if you're the jets you may not necessarily have to rush into it but I'd rather try to get somebody on the higher end and if if that means I'm overpaying Malik Willis a little bit I wouldn't hate that apparently the dolphins very much want Willis I don't know if that's going to happen or not um because with they're they're going to take the big hit here on Tonga by Loa who's going to be a post June first I'm Willis I'm like do I want to go there who the hell I'm going to Jaylen Waddle

Hey Chad like who the hell are who else is even on the team this is a team that's clearly saying we're not going to do anything and this is what I'm saying the dolphins are prime real estate to probably be able to be picking first next year you know I'm saying like we talk about the jets and how it's so many uh quarterbacks for the jets next year the dolphins are going to have to because they don't have salary cap space so they're going to have to like rely on maybe getting a cheap option that quarterback or going with a young quarterback so while when you just stink for one whole year and try and be in the running to get the one of these other quarterback if you were Miami I don't know why I mean like you meant if you're taking the big hit why would you turn around and sign the big player got doing that got rid of Bradley Chubb just traded me confess Patrick got rid of Tyree kill like I think I forgot what lineman retired or left so with all that being said what do you really have left right so this is the first year of a new team monitor to have a jets like season when

you win three games so you can be the second overall picking you can get one of those quarterbacks if you get Malik Willis then that's saying that you're addressing your your quarterback for next couple years and so you may not how you're going to pay him 30 million dollars and then next year say you're going to draft somebody see I would never do the Malik Willis thing if I was Miami right doesn't that guy any sense just can do it because they got three personal drivers and if you if you pay that guy and you're wrong about him but Jeff Hathley was with him in Green Bay which is why that name is going to come up the the GM as well was a Green Bay guy so that's why that name is going to come up a lot but you better damn well be right on that guy the other quarterback that is maybe unexpectedly held up a little bit Daniel Jones wants 50 million a year and the cults are trying to offer him a deal right now that is in the Sam Darnold kind of ballpark which I think is probably pretty accurate um they're working on a deal with Daniel Jones but at the same time um Jones on a deal that we're talking about with Darnold feels like that's appropriate 50

million a year like what are we talking about you said he said that's 12 million dollars below market price so only five million dollars for what I did when I was when I was making two years ago but not Stan healthy this year they they had a great start and then they fell apart it completely fell apart so exactly what are you supposed to get excited about with Daniel Jones if you can't keep the guy on the field and why would you pay him that level of money you know that's why I think they're going to wait him out and they might give him the train did they get him a transition tag they did right they got him a transition tag say if you can find something then go do it and they will pivot and they put that if they given the transition tag they also don't do anything for losing him if they decide not to match the contract also let's get our comments in here on the youtube page at 800 9193776 on the phones as well lines are opening up as NFL free agency has begun we are still waiting on some of the bigger deals the biggest one so far as Alec Pierce going back to Indianapolis 116 million um yeah the giants

giants got work to do I think they got signed it's just signed JK Dobbins and they got to find a lineback you're high on JK Dobbins huh JK Dobbins would be like a household name he could say healthy coming out Ohio State when he did with the Ravens the first year then he got hurt last year he he was leading the league in Russian and with Denver then he got hurt but still in a Russian he missed five games of six games and came back and you know coming off the injury he wasn't the first option anyway and you know he rushed for seven hundred seventy five yards he averaged the seven of best yards per carry in the NFL at five yards per carry well that's why I asked the question and you give me a good answer and he'll be he'll be cheap and he's and he's been with Harbaugh mm-hmm because Harbaugh drafted uh let's see here Bart should be on nightcap with Shannon sharp and Ocho yeah man that'd be great that from baby shack uh Ocho be wanting too much come on Bartleem

you know could you always pick it on me man other ones coming in uh jets need linebacker and guard correct if if you're the jets Simpson bringing him back makes too much sense does it not hey 28 years old he's the toughness for you uh I will bring him back but if you're bringing if you get him very tucker you're going to sign very tucker knowing that you know you have um tipman that's settling in at guard then you can get away with uh let's see here Daniel Jones is blah according to Kev Chatta uh JK Dobbins would be a household name if the NFL regular season was 10 games long yeah man but hey the Giants I think from one G Giants need to tie it in too so how about JK Dobbins Isaiah likely or go get uh in jokal you need you need a you need a second in this league most teams playing 12 person and you they need to go unless they're going to swing big for a guy like with a spoon I mean uh woman if they're going to spend big for somebody like one there is

white play good last year too is he a little too far down the line I mean he's been in the leagues into what 2017 yeah he said the injuries he's had but he was the number one when before he got hurt he was the number one guy out there 800 I 193776 it's Barton Carlin on ESPN New York there's been a lot of discussion about the jets and listen when it comes to the Giants it's pretty clear to me priority number one should be this offensive line and if I'm the Giants I'm getting right after it at guard and I'm trying to figure out it it it feels more and more like they're not going to draft Maui Noah at the top and if they don't then are they going to be able to bring back a Luminor at right tackle but these are the two things I'd be working on right now for the Giants. Luminor is not the only one that's out there at the tackle position you got the young guy from from Green Bay that's a free agent he's much younger and you know every Green Bay line and you know did that thing so I definitely you know they definitely have options I mean you've got the

the guy they got they got cut from not that I would be running for him but at least he's a veteran that protected Patrick home you got Justin Skull I wouldn't I wouldn't go there you're talking about you on Taylor yeah yeah Taylor Decker just asked for his release doesn't say he's released that's what I'm saying from Detroit yeah because it but he I think he wants a big number because he was with them for like 10 years yep he's 33 years old but you know they got a page of Mayor Gibbs and all those guys so he's out there he's going to be available I mean Trent Williams is 37 years old he's still playing so like I wouldn't I wouldn't be so concerned with those with the Lyman and what their age is opposed to like other positions so here are the free agent lineman tackles specifically that are available it's Decker Johan Taylor Braden Smith from the Colts who's probably worth about 13 a year this estimates this according to over the cap Jonah Williams from the Cardinals

Jonah Williams is 28 and Cam Robinson from Cleveland other than that those are the guys who are estimated to be worth more than 10 million a year well you got right so you got value pick Jack actually couple I'll give you a couple others too very Tucker they have a 12 million a year and then they have David Edwards from Buffalo at 1990 year they got him at about 20 million a year that's a big number Jack Connellan has been struggling you know ever since he had the knee injury whatever whatever you had Rashid Walker the one from Green Bay you're talking about yeah yeah there you go he's also worth a pretty sizable number if you're gonna work at that um and listen if I'm the Giants it the offensive line is the first thing I'm doing it's guard it's tackle it's getting this locked up as quickly as I can because I do not want to screw around when I'm John Harbaugh not with the quarterback but with just the style of play that I want to have if the Giants actually locked up their offensive line and weren't in a position where they had

to take Maui Noah I would almost be able to really really sell the Jeremiah love potential at the fifth pick yeah but that mean they were at the sign they got a sign of linebacker you know you can't be improving the team and you soft up the middle you definitely need a communicator I mean Quincy Williams to somebody that should be considered whether he's going to Tennessee whether he's going to Atlanta or you know a team like the Giants like he he is a guy that is a um Harbaugh type of guy plays with immense passion and and he has good leadership and he has the knack for making a big play I mean the Kobe Dean is out there but I think he's too small like I don't man that's he has to stay healthy to begin his career but last year I think you know he played at a high level free agency has begun really the only big name so far

that has uh signed and stayed in Indianapolis is Alec Pierce got four years 116 million the receiver becomes the highest paid free agent wide receiver of all time not highest paid wide receiver of all time so the guy that actually hit the market Eric Stokes corner for um the uh Raiders resigns three years 30 million 20 guaranteed all the sudden the Raiders got a they you know we you know we thought the jets were going to control the draft the Raiders and Cleveland are in positions to make moves up and down the border in the first round uh I wonder if they want to trade with each other you know and and swap and then give a future first round draft picks Alec Pierce is even on with McAfee right now talking about staying that sounds surprising with the Colts um Jermaine Illuminaur is supposed to be on with K Adams right now

but he is not on with her so she says do with that information what you will got it talking bitten maybe it meant that he thought he was going to be resigning and he has not been resigned as of yet damn it's only been 22 minutes I know but a lot of times these things have happened this quickly like a memory serves last year it was coming out like at 1202 we had 15 signings already that quickly everybody's looking at each other like wow yeah I guess there wasn't any kind of uh tempering going on before this at all it's called tempering well now it's legal tempering Kenneth Walker oh here's a biggie oh here's a biggie two ladder Kenneth Walker can't wait can't wait can't wait you want to guess one more time uh Tina needs a running back get him walk to uh uh Patriots this is perfect that Kenneth Walker to the Chiefs that according to Tom Pellicero NFL Network Tom Pellicero's network whatever that's where I would

have thought the numbers not out yet I would have thought Travis ETM would have been better fit it's still pretty damn good somebody catches the ball a lot better but listen walker for the Chiefs that's still a very good move you got to figure that's probably going to be around 12 million a year right yeah something like that you got nobody to be scared of on the outside yet they always seem to find somebody if they can keep whoever it is out of trouble I mean it's yeah that's what I'm saying receipt rights probably being prison or or going to court worthy ain't an airy down type of guy he's you know he's getting better who the hell is going to be the receiver and who the hell is going to be the right tackle I don't know if they're going to be drafting somebody or what their plan is right now but they're I mean they they get went and cut Jamar Taylor already but can you really blame them for that he was not necessarily working out for them so Kenneth Walker to Kansas City Kenneth Walker to Kansas City it's Barton Carl and ESPN New York 800 919 3776 what do you

and rates may vary thanks for listening to the part in carlin podcast i want my enemies to burn and hell catch the show on demand whenever you want just subscribe to us wherever you get your podcasts so Kenneth Walker going to Kansas City that's the latest domino to fall here and as you know Connor points out the giants were certainly interested in him but we're never going to go anywhere near what his number was going to be a after figure we have not seen any numbers on it yet after figure was probably in the neighborhood of about 12 to 14 a year yeah well this once again you got to follow what's going on they got Kenneth Walker so that means no germ i love for them they're going in another direction so that means what 14th pick they have no they have a knife that means you got to watch out for the jets uh being able to try and get a great receiver because they might go receiver hunting they might go macaque limit uh bucks are going ahead and um

releasing now the bucks are resigning uh k dot okay it looks like so that tight end is out all right well we still got likely um still got colder i'm telling you you want it you want it you want like a a blocking tight end like a cow Brady type kind end that's what cooler worth for the raven i mean k dotons more of a receiving type tight end right anyway anyway um you know with the jets and giants we still have not seen any moves as of yet uh the jets have not released just in fields am i to read anything into that not talking about as a starter is there a possibility like biggie give him one more chance no no he's done here like they he couldn't be the backup that's what i'm talking about is the backup people were so mad last year that he couldn't even get back in they were they went to i don't think i don't even remember the third quarterback we went to that's how much like my life i lost uh cook was the quarterback

cook didn't cook you had to watch that at least you were paid for it not enough the jets earlier today traded for make-of-fits-patrick the safety from the Miami dolphins uh you also pointed out that they need linebacker that's what you want to see today outside of the quarterback situation so linebacker it does ends alone fit the giants he doesn't really fit the giants right now because i think you're going to still be there around the eight to ten million part right which you know for me doesn't make sense eight to ten million dollars again why did you get rid of or caricate it so you want to go i mean you got the kid it's so depends on how how old they're trying to go are they trying to like and i'm still curious like if the if the giants are trying to go young and old and match two guys together still don't know if they're going to be in a three four four three i would think of three four with uh the

drafting of the kid from Toledo last year with sexy dexie and the outside guys you have um but you know you got to it's a it's a uh you got devon bush out there but those these are all guys is going to bring in big money Edmunds is going to bring in big money and they just don't have the money to do it unless let's they're going to dress at the draft well the problem here is that if they're going to address it in the draft um i i mean how high are you going to do that where because they're all sunny sunny sunny styles for for there i like right regas you know it's a deeper draft you know all the linebackers kind of ran well inside linebackers ran well traditionally inside linebackers i think that the the the giants you know the giants can go with sunny styles and feel really good they got like arguably one of the best players or are there a Reese got one of the arguably one of the best players in the draft all it's total speaker i know it's weird because styles did so well

that we almost snuffin at the fact that him and him and uh Reese ran the same 40 time yeah one just got along one just got better hops uh tom why don't you go ahead and give me that what you had on the walker deal so Jordan Schultz is reporting that Kenneth Walker got three years 43 million up worth up to 45 from the chiefs 28.7 guaranteed so there's more than 14 yeah that's more than 14 years they just reset the market for breeze Kenneth Walker before the playoffs wouldn't have been considered no a better running back than breeze hall but you know even if you go back today rookie year they were on each other's heels Reese is a better receiver and you know walkers played on better teams so that just let you know that the new market for breeze at his deal maybe if you you may be able to get away with 13 i think people who were expecting the giants to be in on Walker were probably misguided now um are got Jordan run on does say that they made an offer

that the giants did in fact make an offer on him but doesn't say if it was anywhere near that which i'm assuming it was nowhere in the ballpark of that it was probably around 10 a year or something like that um the other guy that i do not expect the giants to be in on is Tyler Lindarbone i just don't know how they have enough money to try to pay that much at center as much as i love him as a player i think he's a fantastic player there's there's just no way to me he's reconpossibly make that happen he's the third rank raising according to pp pf i mean if he's even if he doesn't get 25 a year if he gets 22 23 a year now now if i'm the giant if i'm the jets i'll do that and move tipman the garden tipman's already a guard you play guard all that yeah keep yeah keep tipman that guard yeah and move myers to guard i'll try to forgot about myers that's why i forgot about myers was a starting center no no no i know they but they they had the two of them and they

were gonna figure out who's gonna play what i get Linda by 25 million dollars because if you're pay if you're if you were going to get um you don't have to pay membu or fascia for the next you got three more years at least no three on fascia you play on fascia and go all the way through and four for membu you gotta let him go all the way through the contract before you pay him if you have to um it's none he can do about it i mean if you can get linda bombed i still under you you still be paying your highest your highest lineman on the line how much how much was uh simpson making i don't know i mean because the it's 15 million dollars per veer Tucker just basically all for drafted so you wouldn't pay ten more million dollars for the best one of the best if not the best center in all the football all right listen i you're not going to get me to argue simpson was making six million a year okay but veer tucker last year all coming off his last year of his contract i think he may over twelve of thirteen because that was the first round pick so i had to yeah so he's

making twelve thirteen you wouldn't pay ten more for linda bra another former chief in la jalen Watson the corner uh goes and signs with the Rams as well so the Rams now have Watson and Trent McDuffie uh they can have a they can talk about the old time but you know what i'm saying if i'm a jets that's not a bad that's not a bad sign i mean because then whatever you whatever else you get you go get it you go get it free agency they got to get they had them they had them they had them linked to the kid from pit but from the university of um uh the luni right they had they had they had him number seventy one the right guard they had him linked with the maybe the second pick for that kid there's still a lot of discussion in the chat right now at the espn new york youtube page about sunny styles about arville reese about where the jets are headed here they got to go belly for defensive end i mean he's more of a pure edge rush guy as opposed to i'm going to take recent make him an edge rush guy how are they going to handle that no i'm going i'm going belly

that's what i'm saying yeah just take i i hate taking somebody that didn't play at a different position and and projecting him to be something else that we've never seen them dominate that especially on the highest level right and then especially in this market so then when he then when he gets like struggles then people gonna get on him forgetting that he's never played a position and it's a learning curve from playing a position full of times you've never played before uh chiefs in the two a game two as a backup that according to scogs not according to where they going to sign him he's asking the question i mean two as a backup for the chiefs i don't know if i'm two of that i want to go somewhere i'm definitively the backup yeah and you need somebody you need somebody that you can depend on because you never know how my homes coming off us that injury is going to bear you might have to get five games out of them well my homes are checked down trolley too so i can't be complaining about that well but listen you i would almost expect the chiefs to again draft another wide receiver pretty high man they haven't had they have not had success driving

where i receive well that's because they also drafted uh sky more sky more it's not working yeah he got you know more yeah he got traded then you had they'll do something like they'll do something like they'll draft they'll bring in like uh Romeo dobs he'll be the second coming i mean Romeo dobs wouldn't be a bad option for them wouldn't be a bad option for them at all i mean hollywood brown is a thousand-yard receiver i wonder how he plays hollywood hollywood come and link back up with hardball thousand-yard receiver with with hardball you like him that much oh hollywood brown now he's okay he's fast he's fast and he was a thousand-yard receiver like before they flowers there him and Lamar was a dynamic duel 800 that one nine three seven seven six we get as many of your calls in as we can before the end of the show uh Laramie tonsil gets a contract extension with washington two years sixty million thirty million per sixty one point five in

guarantees including the biggest signing bonus ever for an offensive lineman at thirty two and a half he was the NFL's first twenty million part twenty million per year offensive lineman he was of leagues first twenty five million a year and now he's the leagues first thirty million a year damn good i know Trent Williams like hey what's going on right now Trent Williams since i was a little bit late but larmry tonsil's only been leaked funny he's on this 13 and he's been in league three years like six years that's all it's a more than that seven i'll look come on he i was working for i was working for Morgan Stanley when he did the gas mass he was right next to oh here's a big one other big one this is a one that's going to hurt the philadelphia eagles for sure can't wait can't wait can't wait uh jalen phillips four years 120 damn 80 guaranteed from carolina oh carolina had a good defense last year yeah so jalen phillips

brown four years one twenty eighty guaranteed with the carolina pathors carolina was even in league so the eagles lose them listen it's gotten better each of the last two years and that's that's a move that will certainly help them get air right there on the cuff rich eyes in here the tax deadline will be here before you know it and you just want to know your taxes are actually being handled but the old way you hand everything off and then silence days pass weeks pass you start wondering should i send another follow up email it feels like you're chasing updates and getting nowhere but now taxes are different because your taxes are done for you by a turbo tax full service expert with into a turbo tax you can match with your dedicated tax expert and hand off everything right in the app and while your expert checks for every deduction you'll see real time updates on your phone so you always know exactly where things stand suddenly you're not refreshing your inbox you're going for a run grabbing a coffee scrolling

24 million dollars and alec pears just this similar replacement similar body type but what five more million dollars a year so you talk about inflation when he signed his deal right about the same deal they just swapped these guys out this from Connor Hughes on the jets they continue to monitor opportunities to strike michael pitman was not a player they pursued and i said that before you why would you want to have fifty million dollars tied up in your receiver understanding what garen wilson makes you made the trade for i and i michael you have an opportunity i believe to draft one with the sixteenth pick if you can get your past frustrated and you can get your your second receiver that can potentially become your first receiver you that's why i love about drafting your guy because ultimately you're going to come to a decision do you give garen wilson another contract do you trade him or do you hold on to him and that's kind of can't wait can't wait there we go

well two things two things number one this one hurts the jets well you could argue that both hurt the jets first one ravens are signing john simpson three years thirty million i knew he was going back home yeah three years thirty million for john simpson twenty eight years old they need interior help not i see how that helps them with linda bomb i'll sign linda bomb for the ass Malik Willis Miami uh steve you want to sort out one sixty seven point five for three forty five million garen tea oh that's what twenty per uh it's based on the field twenty three yeah that's twenty two oh that that's the light work that's not that much forty five guaranteed so that's not a ridiculous number that's basically just and feels money but just it feels number one he was a number three so he don't have that pedigree that that gets that that stimulus package so now as the dominant start to fall we soldier we say in the fill of three minute thirty man a year Malik Willis ends up going to Miami the dolphins earlier today

announced that they're going to be cutting to a tongue of iloa um one quarter back off the board we don't really think the jets we're going to be heavy and on him is that fair to say morning fair so where else do we turn if your jets option one at quarter back right now you know one you know what i'm saying you know what i'm saying is that's what you can guarantee that he's coming i wouldn't be surprised if the ravens trade marlin Humphreys two marlin Humphreys that's a big kind of track hundred million dollars they're gonna cut marlin here's the other one coming in on uh to what to keep an eye on this is from rich samini and conner Hughes is always also chiming in on this too the jets did check in last year on brine tomas junior the receiver from Jacksonville uh-huh i were told the time no but maybe that now becomes more of a possibility in rich samini says keep an eye on brine tomas yeah i did see that he had a down year um with the signing of uh who did they sign for who did they

sign from um from the raiders took uh Jacobi Myers they got him in the middle of the year to pair with the other receiver uh we don't think that um Travis Hunter is going to we think he's going to play more just like corner straight corner and tomas i don't want to say fill out a favor but once Myers went there it changed the dynamic of their off it's crazy because year before he was twelve hundred yards yeah how much different was that offense with Peterson that it was with Liam Cohen and that tomas would not fit what they wanted to do right but he may fit for what Frank right wants to do that i'd give you another big i hate that's got brine tomas yet a minute he i don't know what cost but who cares the thing is you're getting you're getting a starting receiver for cheap because you don't have to pay him he's only going into his third year he's the first round draft picks so you don't have to address that for two years that's what i'm kind of talking to you say for cheap though you mean cheap in terms of what he's making yeah cheap in comparison to what free agent uh established receivers made third round pick is that what that cost you you think

more than that just don't have a third round pick up same next year or yeah yeah oh we've got news on the giant can't wait can't wait can't wait who is that from are you may rove reporting Isaiah likely is a giant all right well and i already my rove we can wait a little my rove i'm sorry let's make sure that's a 33rd team i'm giving proper credit oh yeah who called that one okay and so Isaiah likely is a giant part called it about a month ago i've got a contract if you want to go this is from Diana three years 40 million and it can be worth up to 47.5 for Isaiah likely in the giants so told you okay everything everything any analysis lately has been told you so tell me what what what's more like listen he he is a budding star he is the next McBride he he is the next like with him and Theo Johnson you'd think that'd be a pretty good mix yeah i mean now you talk about 12 personnel he's become better as a blocker he makes great

catches he's a guy that got major yak i told you that one listen that will immensely help the giants offense watch Marlon Humphries get cut to where did they where did likely end up and now when what this had came back his numbers obviously came he only had three only had three hundred and 75 yards no he got hurt remember he was hurt and then they were using collar that's why i'm telling you i wouldn't be surprised they signed a collar too then Andrews came back i wouldn't be surprised they call collar no but he was hurt too no Andrews got hurt but didn't he come back yeah yeah that's what i'm saying like his numbers were but Isaiah was hurt too i think he ended up with three hundred seventy five yards receiving which was crazy because he's a thousand yard eight hundred yard receiver every day of the week so the giants have got their first free agent of the day less than an hour into it with Isaiah likely the tight end coming over from Baltimore something that Bart has been talking about for quite some time now who knows if Marlon Humphries gets cut if Marlon Humphries is a is a culture guy he plays super hard all pro pro bowler he gets beat

a little bit of late because they've always put him on the toughest person he's not that guy anymore but to come over here and play that nickel position for the raven me for the giants watch him that's wrong get cut because he's he's a he was one of the first hundred million dollar corners in the league too so he's near the end of that deal so that cat pick got to be high as hell so i wouldn't be surprised Marlon Humphries gets cut and ends up a giant too see i don't love this this is from Connor Hughes on the john Simpson thing case you miss the john Simpson from the jets just signed in Baltimore went back home that's where he came from there wasn't a strong push from the jets to retain john Simpson i would look for them to target players who might have been backups on other teams whom they believe have starting potential well you can't you can't have everybody no i mean you can't have what the thing is you can't have membu uh titmin is going to end up having to get paid but like you said they're not paying membu or fashion or yet right but what i'm saying is they what yeah and that's still light money for for john Simpson what he's been he got a lot of

penalties last year so maybe the new staff kind of fell out of favor remember he was brought in by solips people to bring in a tone and attitude who's weird that a player science will wear for two years you know usually it's a three year deal or something like that especially coming off your first year of free agency but we knew Baltimore needed help for lay lay was getting them murdered over there um but i mean you you also it's it's a lot of guards in free agency and like if you're a left guard it doesn't have to be great if you think titmin's great you think membu's great you think mayors hailed up you know i see them going to get like added value type of guy look that's a good move for the giants likely obviously helps them on the offensive side immensely here i mean i could see the giants maybe with a kin of gang will or somebody like that too they need they need they need a three down back who can catch they got a little spunk tone they got a little after births so the jets uh have yet to do anything uh as of yet other than the mink of its patrick

trade this morning if you were unaware of that they made a deal with the dolphins and gave him a three year forty million dollar extension the giants get Isaiah likely Malik Willis goes to the Miami dolphins Kenneth Walker to the Kansas City chiefs those of the big ones so far thanks for listening to the bard in carlin podcast welcome your chance to act we about to bang here more of farts got in criss carlin mornings at 10 on a ESPN New York app and your smart speakers as you know managing maintenance repair and operations is never easy but for the ones who always rise to the challenge granger has your back from professional grade products you can count on to fast dependable delivery they're there to help you keep things running smoothly plus their technical product specialists are here to help answer your toughest questions and because granger no safety is always a priority they're committed to being your partner in protecting both your people and your facilities call 1-800-GRanger click granger.com or just stop by
