5 a.m. I'm up with a crisp Celsius energy drink running 12 miles today grab a green juice quick change and head to work meetings workshops one more Celsius no slowing down working late but obviously still meeting the girls for a little dancing Celsius live fit go grab a cold refreshing Celsius at your local retailer or locate now at Celsius dot com This is the part and Carlin podcast listen live mornings at 10 on ESPN New York and streaming live on YouTube franchise 13 12 over on the YouTube chat Jones over Willis cheaper and lower risk bigger upside Pluto Nash on the chat solid deserves more credit while party was gone then Mac or Kyle solid did a terrific job with that team defensively but I think you have to give Mac Jones a lot of credit with how well he played and if you're the 49ers coaching

staff I think you feel pretty good with who you are and what you can make out of your backups look at what they have done over the last several years like there's a reason Kyle Shan is not just going to take anybody you know Phil Sims was telling us a story the other day about when he saw Kyle Shanahan in the offseason on a couple of different occasions and the first question was yeah how's Mac doing hasn't seen as Mac Jones don't they they went and moved up to take him initially and then it just became about Tray Lance and the pressure got to be too much like I would trust I would absolutely trust him to be the Jets quarterback and then I would trust if I'm a Jets I would trust that he learned a lot by spending time with Kyle Shanahan so it works both ways well listen look at Sam look at Sam and how much he has learned and he credits Shanahan for what was in there one year how much he was said he was hadn't I mean

it's an unfortunate comment to make but said basically hadn't been coach before he was with Kyle Shanahan properly at least how he felt in it can it carry in it carried over when he went to Kevin O'Connor let's go eight hundred nine one nine three seven seven six let's continue on the phones iris in Staten Island he's next on ESPN New York Ira what's up brother how are you man well good good morning gentlemen Mac Jones listen I have no problem with it and I don't have a problem with Jacob we percent either and I agree with thought you got to definitely rank Jones a couple of notches above percent and and like you said maybe they catch lightning in the bottle if that's direction they go you know because of the Shanahan tutoring where's the second round pick it was part of it I wrote is that bother you no because they have so many I'm really I'm really wouldn't be upset with that because you figure with the first four picks they got to come away with four starters right so if they hit if they hit on to read the draft picks that start and Mac Jones is

starting quarter back there's four starters but I don't have an issue with it I don't have an issue with it one question they do have what's that no go ahead no one question I have both you I heard there were Tucker some talk on the radio earlier that the Giants might be in play for him I would love to bring them back on a whatever type of deal you can prove a deal but it's important you know because you were in this position Chris you either you or I played professional sports if I'm my agent if the Giants and adjusts are both on the table and the money is similar I have to advise my client you got to go with is a new coach and a young proven it's somewhat proven quarterback we're a team that we building so I would hate to see him go to Giants but if the money's the same I wouldn't be surprised it's funny because Pope teams are rebuilding you know that's the funny part one just has a proven quarterback so you feel more confident that the success is closer than farther away because that's the

hardest thing to get but you know I'm still looking at do you bring John Simpson back I can see John said it's it's going to be a lot of guard is available that's the thing Bartis it is a guard heavy free agent class you know so like I don't it's very Tucker gonna get an overly ridiculous amount of money to go somewhere else I don't know I think he may still get a proven deal because he's still young yeah yeah no I think so yeah the other guys the other guys are older yeah and and so I don't see very Tucker getting like a three-year you know 30 plus million dollar guaranteed type deal here now I'm like long about that so you have Linda bomb you have Linda bomb out there a sheet walker who's 26 from a green Bay and you got breaking Smith who's 30 but these are right tackles you know I'm what I'm really interested in is who today this side to I think they definitely have to bring in a second tight end regardless of having Mason Teller you got to have to do they go Dallas Goddard

or do they try and spend their money on a guy like in jokal or do they try and spend a money on Isaiah likely and give him give him a bigger bag because his potential good thing is all those guys come off down years yeah but that and for the jets as well they have to get a linebacker that's opposite because they lost Quincy Williams so they got to get an inside linebacker we we all assume if they're going to go belly outside they still need an inside inside linebacker I'm looking at a guy like maybe you know everybody thinks you know Devil Lloyd showed his ass this year so he's probably gonna get you know big money but a guy like quay Walker 25 years old thumper a guy that's thinking they can play you know three downs but he's a he's a true Mike linebacker he's a run you know he's a run physical guy he's a bigger guy maybe that's the guy you spend some money on too if you're gonna go belly now if you're gonna go Arville

Reese I still you still got to get you still got to get a big time inside line backer no matter what especially going to be in a three four because you want to talk about the jets of the Giants right now the jets okay the Giants the Giants I think there's a lot of sunny styles talk around the Giants yes sunny styles but what if they go germ I love we've been talking about that too we're gonna get into that a little bit later on because we are not the only ones who think this you just happen to hear it here first what else is no I hate to be that guy but like how many times we're gonna say things that it ends up somewhere else you know just say hey you know they never want to give us a credit that's what yeah you speak up you know what you're not that hard to say hey man you know Bart you know Carlin and Bart brought up something kind of interesting you know I'm saying that's all you got to say that's it not that hard not that hard Derek and Hillside next the SP in New York because I want my love I want my credit Derek I gotta get mine look I'll give you guys all the

credit every day when I talk to my cousin to my family man that's a real one like I got y'all I got y'all man but um I want to talk some football um I want to ask Bart and maybe Carlin could chime in on this too you been watching football I feel like at the DM position I feel like it's been like a lost heart with sitting the edge I feel like a lot of these guys are coming out of college is like one true ponies they all just want to rush the passer but I've always been told as a football player to now as a coach that you got to earn the right to rush the passers so correct what do you thoughts on that Bart oh we always talk about you can't get a sack on a run play it's all about the the error the wide-nines guys trying to come underneath now there's some teams that set the edge that played that played strong but it's far and few between you know especially now when you know you I mean Deans getting himed up by by Kettle you know I'm saying like he I mean even when he did the eight and Hutchison at six seven tea bag them you know I'm saying like it's it's a it's a lost art

because these guys are finesse players and they don't understand that you you know you have to be able to you know set it set it the right way you know you got you got some guys to do but it's it's a lot lost art all together with these spread offices and these you know RPO stuff and isolating the end guys you know the main everybody has a Lamar Jackson type of guy everybody got like mobile guy they're doing RPO and they in a they basically feature the defense events a little bit of breaking news look can't wait don't not that you can give me a little camp wait here a little can't wait give me a little can't wait can't wait can't wait can't wait well you don't have to trade for Geno Smith anymore rados radars are releasing him the radars save eight million in cap space but they have an 18.5 million dead cap money and hit as we told you about so test problems are now you can sign up for nothing now you could sign up for the minimum I still like can we go down some other roads first that's all that's all if you're gonna tell me that like this is what is left Geno

song okay but like and now that he's a free agent how excited do you think Geno would be to come back to New York you think he wants to come back to the jets I think you would come back here so you can start making a transition to try to do TV or something like that and also if they told me that you're gonna start or you're gonna compete to start right you know as he comes here he's pretty much yeah he's gonna have an opportunity to compete to start he that come here to be the backup like well my well where's Waldo moment it's like where's Tyrod tell you going to see I don't care he can't stay healthy it doesn't matter anymore does it I'm just saying somebody's going to say oh Tyrod because what he does in the locker room because he still has he stills can play when you put him in there but like if you need him for more than three games you can't depend on that's the problem like I'm not three straight games I'll say I worry about Tyrod when I feel like I have better options at the

starting spot handled right I'll bring him back as a backup sure I don't have a problem with that over that what that's what I'm saying even as a backup I can't trust him if you do jets as a backup you he got clear you don't want the jets to bring him back I don't think they are what I'm saying is I don't think they are I don't think he's great for everything that he did he branched the table but like locker room how does that really help you when you win three games you know that I mean he went out there and he didn't play horrible but like he got hurt we almost had to go back and we almost had to go back to Justin Fields at the bench for the second time because he got hurt yeah I can't even get away with it when it when it's two a time but two a talk about lower cut you know that's come well you would think it would be before the beginning of the league year which is coming up in the next week but you can't go down that road either kick it on the two a road if you're the yes you can't you the good thing the thing is he always kicked the jets ass but I don't want to bring

somebody here just because he always kicks my ass in this instance because that list is not a short one at the moment it's not unfortunately let's keep it rolling let's go to add in the Bronx next ESPN New York add what's going on and what's going on man oh man Bart man you had me literally dying yesterday you had me spit my hot chocolate out in public had me with him crazy I had any street when you talk about a surreal substance oh yeah yeah yeah joy Porter to man yeah oh crazy but um I just wanted to ask you a question first over I'm a huge giant fan um at the number five spot um personally I noticed a bunch of mostly the people talking about them getting love from Notre Dame but I'm like the obvious thing to me is wide receiver because me personally I would rather you have a wide receiver that you take out

of college because now you you would have a call round jack and given jack to daughter another weapon you have a call where you really have don't have to pay nobody for like three years and you saw what you need more of a league neighbors you saw this dude Darry's foot and got big pants nobody can catch so my thing is like what do you do at five and I'm thinking like I like I like Caleb Downs and I think he will be great but I'm just but they already tipped their hand because they cut their middle linebacker that wasn't horrible and they didn't have to and don't care okay so that lets you know right there that unless they get in the linebacker in free agency which maybe that's a chance but for me that's just they just tipped their hand and they're probably going to take an inside linebacker whether it's Arboree's or whether it's uh you know sunny styles I think that's where we're hardball goals because he

thinks that maybe he can get a right tackle out here maybe in free agency or you know the office of line of the other giants wasn't horrible last year now as far as addressing the why receiver position I mean a lot of people don't realize it is some receivers out there that we really don't talk about really talking about Romeo dobs of course everybody knows about Mike Evans but you know a guy like Greg Jennings is a guy that's a tough rock runner but I think him and his skill set is kind of like Malik neighbors you made Jawan Jennings Jawan Jennings yeah from San Francisco yeah you got Jawan Jennings out there uh Alec Pierce now have recently Stefan digs I mean I'm sure he'll love to come here 10 o'clock up out here yeah I mean he I mean he did go for over a thousand yards last year but yeah he did but he's more of a slot guy but you know you're your home fault you I mean you got Rhonda or Robinson probably not going to bring him back because he's going to require too much money but

you can go out there and find a why receiver if you really want one because you do have a true number one I'll give you a guy that hasn't worked out or excuse me that hasn't worked out a new deal deal with the team he's with right now Rashid Shahid yeah but I think they're gonna bring him back especially because what he does I know but they for whatever reason they haven't gotten that done so it sounds like he's gonna hit free agency but you know yeah you know how that is too like that's what I'm saying watch tomorrow watch watch when it went what is it the uh tapering period is first right yeah that starts Monday which means that Monday at 12.05 will have deals done right right so Monday the tapering period is what all the way three days it's Monday through Wednesday it's forty hours of tampering what what's what's Thursday how that watch how that didn't it isn't really like you getting all these texts I when you turn your phone off and you turn it back all you got these text man didn't it didn't it but I think they're even coming like I think they might even be coming Monday you want to call them legal tampering like I I think all the tampering's been done already yeah but you but you can't

announce a new deal with somebody else until oh they want to do so it's just gonna come over as breaking news through the insiders yeah you know it'll be like that Fred and white planes Fred how can you not want Matt Jones let's go but I don't want Matt Jones because the gesture in a perfect situation right now they have three number ones next year don't be more or manning or some other guy out next year is going to be better than Matt Jones unless you think Matt Jones is a franchise court of which I do not believe so he may get the jets four or five wins with which will take them out of getting an elite quarterback they need that quarterback this year I would draft someone like Reese and maybe in this I don't know the best player at the 17th spot maybe like a Sedeek or someone like that you rebuild the team that way the next year you get you get you you just get the number one pick or the and you get you get manning or whoever and then you have to yeah so you won't go away I just part it sure yeah go ahead bar no you go ahead no I'm gonna say I want them to wait till next year this idea of getting a guy that unless you think he's going

to be a franchise the only guy that I think out that's out there that could be a franchise quarterback is Kyla Murray but he's not gonna go to the jet he's got to go to a team like Minnesota which will do great out of you look at his career stats he's he's been a franchise quarterback he's been on bad teams but but other than him I'm not wasting it on that and then I would get like Reese or I'd get you know those guys rebuild the team next year getting one of these other guys you're gonna wind up with you know four five wins six which you're gonna be out of the number one quarterback unless you the jet think Frank Rice Reese or whatever thinks that this guy Mac Jones could I don't think he is he has never proven it and Sam Garner was just an outlier you can't you can't be both knows keep them all keep them all so Sam Garner was outlier right yeah I think so well I think okay okay okay what was Baker Mayfield outlier he has improvement himself to be a great quarterback Baker Baker Baker Baker Mayfield was damn near MVP candidate two years ago what are you talking about okay well I

don't think more will be better do you think manning and don't be more could be better I think it could be better do we know that because because remember arch manning was supposed to come out last year but he had to stay in because he's sup well I'm just saying that but but but but but but but but but but but but but let's let's keep this going let's keep this going though because I'm actually what about Daniel Jones did you think that Jones gonna play that the way he played while he played they're they're gonna get Daniel Jones the future quarterback for the Indianapolis coast he was an MVP candidate I'm not told I'm not told on him either I don't go by a couple of months of of a great play he had great weapons in Indianapolis I don't know if he is but they put on the marks right now Pitt Pittman is a great no one I'm saying this guy said went different places that we think thought couldn't play they end up being able to play are you telling me trying to tell me that Michael Pittman and Alex Pears are great weapons they're great players they got they've shown

they've shown Alex Pears Alex Pears was considered a great player very good he's had he's never went past he's never he's never went past and he so he's better than Gary Wilson well I think that I think that Mac Jones is not proving himself even to be at the level of Daniel Jones that I don't think he would he would he would he would he would he would he would he would he would he would he would five and three but what I'm saying is why can't you do both like you don't have to stink because you have three personal draft picks if you offer somebody if it's two three quarterbacks out there you offer you know your first three first round draft picks to get your friends as quarterback who cares I don't know if that'll happen I think that I think how many guys how many guys do you call Fred how many guys do you think need a quarterback next year and eight the park Carlin and Fred show I mean we give him enough land I just want to go through the exercise I just said he said nobody's proving it Sam dark Mac

Mac Jones look just as good as Sam Darler look when he was in Minnesota like Baker Mayfield Baker Mayfield was especially two years ago I mean hell he was to come back kid early in the season with no receivers yeah like you mean to tell me that Baker Mayfield hasn't proven that he's a dude Baker Mayfield is proving that he's a dude now he he'll turn the ball over but can you win with Baker Mayfield I think you can damn strike and win a Super Bowl with Baker Mayfield absolutely you can David and Elizabeth next the SB in New York D what's going on what up fellas yo before we get into all the beautiful football talk those Randy donuts looked at amazing Tom Bauer told me they're beautiful so now I'm gonna get me some next quick milk I'm gonna make love for some of them donuts next quick that's solid right there I'll tell you though I gotta get the strawberry yes strawberry yeah now tell me how you gonna get it pre-mixed are you gonna get the powder you gonna get the syrup now I would just go to one of the bodega think of the strawberry oh okay pre-made okay I never like strawberry milk I

was what I love strawberry I love strawberry milk bro strawberry milk so much better in chocolate milk to be honest I really like the banana but the banana continues only certain spots have like only certain bodega like Manhattan or Harlem yeah so usually I go to strawberry yeah you have say no diddy with the banana oh yeah oh yeah yeah pause before before we get into all this your part I can go hold you yo Woody Johnson and get the cheese on the side get the nacho cheese ready if we go outside the Mario Davis you got a sidebar got to your Mario eighty-seven years old man exactly I'm not gonna like you know what's crazy you know of course I get all my information from your colleague Jake hasn't you know what's crazy you look at his numbers his numbers are really good for old player believe it or not I mean I was kind of boycott it but not bad I mean he's a he's a Mike linebacker he can he's in between the tackles you don't got to run you don't have to do anything it's kind of like Ray Ray numbers never fell off because you know Mike lineback you just run in between the tackles oh yeah yeah not for nothing and good production on his end so look this is why I want to show up don't get mad at

me all those names you say I don't want them over here if it's like that let's just run the wildcat let's run the wildcat all season oh my god those names you name Garbage I don't want them on my team I understand not all the other names but Mac Jones you don't want no Mac Jones I agree with you okay the other names know it's the other names yeah I'm not mad at you but all the other somebody's got to play the position Tyler Kyler yes Mac Jones yes but I'm gonna be honest with you draft capital no now losing no draft capital to bring some quarterback that's not the guy for me or not the guy we're gonna invest in we need to make sure and I was trying to say this yesterday again all the pigs got a hit all right but here's the thing David I'm glad you said that appreciate the call when you're trading a second-round pick for somebody like Mac Jones Bart you're ensuring that pick hits right yeah you're you're saying this pick this is worth a pick because I know what this dude can do exactly and even

it for whatever reason it didn't work out it's a second-round pick when you've got a bevy of picks the next two years like this is what they're here for their assets they call them assets for a reason what would they say and would do the ramps say after them picks down right look what they just did how many the ramps have drafted exactly one player in the last eight years with the first-round pick one player Jared verse that's it every other one they've traded away and you know what happens what do you know they're knocking on the door of the Super Bowl every year or they're in it would they just trade for oh yeah big toughy like they're they're they're putting themselves and they in by the way not great news this morning either they resign cam curl okay they gave cam curl 36 million over three years who we were talking about with the jets and safety now the other guy that they have it's safety is Quentin Lake Carnell Lakes kid yeah I mean but he's a free agent too but give me I'll take

blanking ship hey there's there are things to winterships like in Jim Leonard he's a smart-headed player not just because he's white but he's played at high level he's won a Super Bowl like I know a lot of dumb white people right I mean he's he's 27 he's 27 years old you know me people are talking about what you would be like on the sidelines as a coach oh man I'd be like bro over on it yes being in New York YouTube chat my secretary I'd rather play I'd rather play with 11 just play with a man who had a right I want with us tux tux man oh six Bart will start chasing players with his belt up the side are you gonna hit somebody you gonna get hit Arnold nice to want Bart as a coach can he make any of these players any good oh yeah man listen which all guys don't know like you know I trained a lot of kids around here a lot of a lot of guys I meant or two what like I said you can

throw a couple of names out I know one well over Sean Gary yeah right but you know uh rowquan lot of these guys I mentor CJ I talked to all these guys yeah I mean telling what I see what they need to be working on go off the camp you know test is a training facility that's around here I used to work with them a lot yeah listen this I know my I know that I know that I'm back in position I'm damn sure can read I can tell you by I can tell you by by run sets and formation and personnel to three runs you can get and I can tell you with the one step where you got to go and who block you based on the front that you went I can't even begin to tell you what I would give to sit in the one meeting room one night with you and the linebackers man I'd be sitting there like oh man so you just you just gonna turn it down huh you just you just you over here you over here getting a salt physically assaulted by this guy huh you might as well give him your phone number did you know some money these money on the on the on the on the counter top out he left got he just did what he did to you man these phone lines are lit today and then the chat has been

can't listen to it what what what what about when you you hold on to you pass it out for generations and they finally listen to it because it because like one of the Wu-Tang clan dudes like live for a hundred years and you can't do it because you can't close the list to it today or die it is just a it's always that true yeah something like that you know that it's just empty it's nothing on it's now go dig that something kill him again was that like a open you can't open the cd like couldn't in the 90s when it was impossible to open the mcd and the crazy thing is technology probably changed by the time you open it so you got to find something a retro thing like it on anything right this thing we come we come from the a track to the cassette player to the db on the laser disc right all right time for yours that's a nice tangent there uh big news in new well i'm not going to call big news because it's only devin single terry uh big news today uh from jordan ran uh they have the single terry and the giant have agreed to a restructured contract that's per his source he was said to make five million dollars and count six point five million

versus the cap the season jordan went on to say in his same tweet he wouldn't expect the giants to swim deep in the running back market offensive line offensive line offensive line that is what jordan is saying well in terms of free agency he's talking about yes that's what i'm going to assume yes okay if that's the case that means if he's going to swing off i think to try to bring back aluminum or right yeah i mean we'll see and in linder bomb yeah that mean that means well i don't think they don't get linder bomb i don't i think over the over the ramens dead body they get linder bomb i'll be a believer partner i mean but you all you also got the uh Chicago Bears now need to say well exactly right by the go a big time for him exactly exactly i was about to mention that but they're doing that if they're doing that that's just signaling that they're going sunny styles you know uh with the first five top five picks because they're trying to solidify their offensive line through free agency did that mean that they're going to have an opportunity to they're going to try and fill that linebacker spot because they created their own

hole without one there see is it easier in your estimation to find a linebacker in free agency or to find a right tackle in free in free agency because like if i have a chance to draft a right right tackle in a cheap number don't i have to do that well linebackers middle linebackers if you talk about Devon Floyd Devon Floyd's gonna cost you a crap load of money now if you're talking about bringing Quincy Williams and then why'd you let you know caracay go caracay was uh caracay was only making ten million dollars a year next all right next up here we're talking extensions and Bart mentioned this one earlier in the first segment of the show but the Texans and Neal Hunter have agreed to a one year 40 million dollar contract extension last year keep a mind you got a one year 35.6 million extensions to the back end of his original deal with the team he definitely proved his worth finishing with 15 sacks i was third in the NFL and second team all pro honors also should be know the Texans are expected to extend Aziz al Shahir and will

Anderson junior this offseason listen they got a dominant defense with man that's starting to get real expensive right there now you talk about Aziz al Jaleri um i mean i he's one of my favorite violent guy there plays with his hair on fire but i'm trying to figure out you're saying the Neal Hunter it can't be it can't be a one year deal it has to be like a two year deal or something i think it's one year like tacked on yeah tacked on yeah 40 of it this year yeah no it has to be it has to be something different because they got to pay will Anderson and will Anderson's buy to get 40 million dollars that's what confused me about the contract for denial hunter so they're calling it a one year extension 40.1 million dollar deal okay so here's i'll give it a breakdown right down okay all right this is an estimate after the extension of what this looks like it looks like his it makes his cap hit this year 31.3 yep but then next year only 8.2

okay right okay so they gave him an extension but he was under contract he's under contract of 2028 he's under contract through 2027 right now okay so so i think that yeah this just sounds like they just did some creative book making your book working here okay because you know so over two years his base salary until you have 20.2 million dollars eight million dollars so that's 30 million dollars and five minutes so he's only getting real money 30 not only but uh 30.5 30 30.5 oh he got a 30.7 signing bonus got you okay so there you go that that tells me a lot that they're what they're not going to do is give CJ Stroud a look they ain't paying him to attention they're like brother you're gonna play this out yeah that's certainly says and it also says maybe I mean I don't know why I would do it unless it just makes more financial since next year but they're gonna wait a year to pay will Anderson nah they're gonna pay him now no they're gonna get because it's

only gonna go up right I mean I would try to pay him now eight Hutchins already got paid uh will Anderson is the next one up as far as guys that can take it to the next uh place I don't think it's another young pass rusher that's due for big payday anytime soon after that right I think he's the last of like the outstanding guys next well not the Texans but another payday the the Rams are resigning safety cam curl to a three or thirty six million dollar contract curl was the seventh round pick in 2020 spent the past two years with the Rams after signing a two year eight point seven five million dollar deal in 2024 the move comes after the Rams earlier this week also paid a big price to trade for Trent McDuffy listen uh when it came to curl I was kind of hoping he might be available for the jets I think he might have been a nice fit in that secondary but uh the other guy is Quinn Lake at keeping eye on that one too but cam curl staying

in LA that is good for the Rams for sure with McDuffy there too and and listen curl later in the year did not look his best that's why I think the Rams might actually gotten a deal out of this yeah I mean but yeah also you know you got to understand that you you love where you're at too so that's that's part of it and you know being a seven round drive pick getting a payday you feel good about that and you know they didn't allow him to get the phrase and they put a number in front of him that he was cool with but you know when you when you look at it though um you still have the the guy from Seattle because Seattle is going to run into a problem because now everybody's going to want to get paid yeah so everybody's going to want to get paid and when you look at it you got uh Willis bone wool woolen is there you got to pay you got you got to pay um you got you got to pay some guys Ernest Jones probably get get a a a re up because how good he was you let Kenneth Walker go so that uh I forgot is Jacob or something like that he's a free agent from from from Seattle they may lose their safety uh a couple of things here um were you going to bring up

the Sean Watson here I'm sorry Tom I don't mean to cut you off uh no I did have two other guys others have to be free agent please do real quick but okay let's all bring them up real quickly the bears are releasing Tremaine Edmonds creating 15 million in cap interestingly Renault tweeted about that never got the sense giants were interested in trading for Edmonds we'll have to see if there's interest now that he's a free agent my speculation maybe Jordan's trying to hint maybe there's some interest there Saints legend cam Jordan is also said to become a free agent when the new league year begins he's played all 15 seasons with the Saints he's 36 years old he said several times over the past few years he'd like to finish his career in New Orleans yet they're going to let him become a free agent yeah ten sacks too so that this has Baltimore Ravens one year deal written all over for me um Ravens has always done that Elvis Domerville uh Tremaine just maybe on Clowny uh Pierre Paul that's what they do they usually end up maxing out those guys exactly getting the most out of just look at Kyle Van Oey had a rebirth I think it's going to be interesting with mentor there now going to be interesting how different that is they're going to go all in on

defense I can't tell you that um last what I'll throw in the Browns just restructured to Sean Watson that makes his cap number this year only 44 million man they restructured him about 20 times but here's the interesting part about that okay it makes the number 44 million but if they designate him a post June 1st cut um it gets spread out over two years so it would be 44.9 this year and then 34 next as opposed to 86 holds to Sean Watson baby come in here besides hey listen listen Russian bathhouse get ready baby oh and that side line to side line I shouldn't know better Russian bathhouse baby that job for me Barton Carlin ESPN New York on the ESPN New York YouTube page 800 919 3776 800 919 ESPN

not need to go very far the jets should have him on their radar to fit a need in their 3-4 skin scheme and a great leader for Aaron Glenn your thoughts yeah I just don't know if he's big enough I mean if that's case while that Quincy Williams go yeah so tell me about Quincy with the fit in the defense is that still gonna work I mean O'Kara can't still kind of small like if I'm if somebody that that I'm looking out that's out there give me quay Walker give me somebody that's young give me a give me a big bumper now they may not want to spin because they pay Sherwood they pay Sherwood crazy money you know I would I would consider maybe going out and getting because 3-4 that means that now your your inside linebacker room is strong right because you don't have to have as big of a like you maybe have like four inside linebackers and you know four outside linebackers and two of them would be a swing guy you know one guy's like a utility guy that can play both

that can play in the middle if you need him to go play in that type of sunken front see before when you play a 4-3 all three of the backs are pretty much kind of like the same body shape about 616 to 240 or now 230 to 250 so I mean I would I think they like my Noah for Miami a couple years ago his brother's gonna come in and be a first round draft pick but I can see I can see them maybe particularly maybe having somebody like like quay Walker on there on there on there I like quay Walker's a player and he's a bigger guy and he's a proven thumper yeah I I think he would fit pretty nicely one's down in Alabama on ESPN New York one what's going on baby how you doing I'm doing right now you know I'm here chilling hey man I think that's here's a delusional I think they they they probably about 2027 right here in Green is on

a hot seat right now he's got a swing for the fifth is he's not waiting for a quarterback class the public food he's going to try to get something food in there right now being these guys in the loser over that pre-pixed twenty twenty so you might you might know the late though he might start trading some of the old things right now for first round picks for next year for sub-tube like yo you cannot tell me that this man is lost from his thumb he's gonna he's gonna swing for the purposes he's gonna be out there like scrappy do doing that and 2027 it's just one thing that's the cheese on the top right back there that's all it is that's all it is but this year he's going for all his chips it he has to I tell you what I tell you what the defense bet not so somebody else to be coached you got Frank right to be the head coach of the team like I bet you you put some I bet you put a bunch of assets in the building this defense up because you got to

make yourself look smart that's the other thing I want thanks for the call I'm blown away by the notion that people are fine with trying to lose this year when clearly the coach is not clearly he's not because it could be over soon rather than later exactly like I'm trying to think of what coach that just went to a new place which it was ten of them that can suck hardball can't suck anybody that went to Arizona can suck right so like they can they can look at it as well to your one yes exactly so they they and they're going to get their quarterback like they can suck I'm trying to think like Cleveland Scafanski because you know Atlanta I mean no I'm saying Scafanski got fired from us or mocking his suck right can't still fanski suck in Atlanta I mean hey they're stuck man because they got pinnocks come off entry get rid of Kirk cousins who the hell is going to be they starting quarterback they could be a team in two years that's paying three coaches yeah like I mean like who's going to be there who's going to be

their quarterback thanks for listening to the bard and Carlin podcast book of your chance draft we about to bang here more of Bart Scott and Chris Carlin mornings at 10 on the ESPN New York app and your smart speakers as you know managing maintenance repair and operations is never easy but for the ones who always rise to the challenge Granger has your back from professional grade products you can count on to fast dependable delivery they're there to help you keep things running smoothly plus their technical product specialists are here to help answer your toughest questions and because Granger no safety is always a priority they're committed to being your partner in protecting both your people and your facilities call 1-800-GRanger click Granger dot com or just stop by
