You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. 877-99 on Fox that is 877-99 on Fox. Jessica Smetana is with us. The rare guest promoting someone else's project. She's engaged to this someone else. I know, I know. We'll get to that in just a second. But I believe she may love Master's Week as much as I do. She has a Master's jacket on right now. And Big End, she just got back from a golf lesson. That is what Master's Week is all about, Jess. Well done. Too, guys. I normally, I made an exception for you today. I normally don't work this late in the evening that I'm supposed to. So you really got me straight off the golf course working on my swing. And might I say some of the best drives of my life today. Right. They really fixed my swing. I'm ready to go for the Goliath Subpar Classic in a couple weeks itself. Is that why you got the lesson? It is exactly why I got the lesson. I, you know, we're playing in a scrambles to guys. I get to drive from the front T's. So I could theoretically give my team a big advantage.
Yes. But the drive needs to end up on the fairway. Yes. Okay. And right now, they're going to the right. It's not looking so hot. Lessons could be a very dangerous game, though. They trick you into thinking you're a good golfer. And then you get out there and there are people watching and you choke. You know what I'm saying? Well, there's also like, you know, this is golf. I guess no matter whether it's a lesson or just playing. But like you fix one thing and then it leads to another problem. Then you got to fix that thing and then you got to, you know, like it's, it's a vicious cycle. So the less you think about it, sometimes the better off you are. And in a lesson, all you're doing is thinking about it. I couldn't imagine playing in one of these because all I'm worried about is the people who are watching just standing in very dangerous spots. Because I could hit anyone anywhere at any time. I've seen it. I mean, how do we get invited to this goal at golf event? Seriously? Like, can you help us out? I think you got to buy a for some. I'm sorry. Well, I'm not doing that. I mean, yeah, I know. It's a good cause. So the problem with this is, Goliak invites used to gots. I know he does. He just knows that you're not going to go.
So well, he knows I'm not paying for a for some. That's what he knows. He's, he's just given up the idea of even wasting like the resources to print your invitation. He's like, this is, this is just going to go right in the trash. I promise this year I'll attend and I will pay for a for some. So Jess, can you get it done? Me, Izzy Taylor, Mikey A, how about that? I'll see what I can do. It's two guides. We're kind of coming in hot under the wire here. The tournament moved up a couple of months. So I don't know. We'll see what I can do. All right. When is the tournament? It is the end of April. Notre Dame Spring Game weekend blue gold game on Saturday. A little golf on Friday. Tailgate Saturday morning should be a fun time. How about I buy a for some. You get us a sit down with Marcus Freeman. What do you think? I think I can actually, I'll see what I can do. Really? Even if he's standing, that's fine too. Better. I know people. Yes. Gina O'Rea, Emma, is he the biggest bleepal in sports? What do you think? He's always been this guy. He has, thank you, Izzy.
He has always been this guy. And I have to say, as someone who, you know, Notre Dame Women's Basketball fan, my whole life, Muffet McGruff fan, my whole life, I was levitating on Friday night when he made a total ass of himself during the final four. During what should have been, you know, four one seeds in the final four. It's a big night. You know, we're going to get some good basketball. And the games, I thought they were both pretty good. They, you know, weren't the most, weren't the best offensive nights for any of the teams playing. But I thought from like a dramatic standpoint, South Carolina coming back and beating Yukon after last year, when Yukon played him off the court in the championship game, thought that was very dramatic without all the theatrics. And then, you know, kind of halfway into the game, that theatrics start when Geno claims that South Carolina tore Sarah Strong's uniform. And then ESPN rolls back the tape, turns out she tore her own jersey. I was coming from inside the house, Geno. I mean, and then with the handshake accusations at the end, that was just completely uncalled for. And, you know, like I said, as a Muffet McGruff fan,
he's been, he's had barbs with other legendary women's head coaches, his entire career, Pat Summit, Tara Vandervere, Muffet McGruff. You know, all the icons, all the legends of the sport. And, you know, people, you could say he's the greatest of all time. I think he is. He's won 12 championships. He's put, you know, dozens and dozens of players in the WMBA, had some of the best players of all time play for his program. There's no denying how great of a head coach he is. But I think for people who have said, like me for a long time, like, yeah, he's great, but he's a jerk. It feels a little validating. That's all I'm going to say. He's right up there with me, Jess, in terms of grades who have just a complete lack of self-awareness at times, with LeBron, which he famously infamously said, something that lacks self-awareness recently as well. And so with Gina, like I look at other coaches, like, your Chicago Bears absolutely punked Matt LaFloor. Ben Johnson did the, you know, the BS handshake walk. You didn't hear Matt LaFloor whining about it afterward. Like, I just don't understand how Oriema, who's been at the top of his sport for so long,
just doesn't understand how that looks. Or maybe he does understand and doesn't really care. I think he doesn't care. I don't think he cares because I think this is the problem with people who are sore losers, right? Is he, they're not used to losing. He's not used to losing. His team was on a 54-game win streak prior to this game against South Carolina. They had the national player of the year. Sarah Strong on their team. They have the, probably, first overall draft pick in the upcoming WMA draft, an easy fud, although that, I think, is a little bit up for debate because of how she performed in the tournament now. That's a bad commercial. They were, I think, they were the runaway favorites to win the title. And so I think he was not expecting to be metaphorically punched in the mouth by the South Carolina team. They really, really played an outstanding defensive game. And Don Staley, frankly, coach circles around him. So I don't think he was expecting that. I think he thought that, you know, like last year was his national championship moment with Pagebacker as a player that meant a lot to that program. And it came after an eight-year title draft
where people said, for a long time, Gina lost his fastball, and there's a new era of women's basketball. And there's parody now. And Don Staley is the new Gina REM, or whoever. And I think that he kind of was back on top of the mountain and it felt really good. And then goes through this whole season, wins all these games. And then, you know, lo and behold, you fall off the mountain. And I don't think he knew how to handle it. And I really don't think he cared. And the fact that he doubled down on it after the game and said, you know, it is what it is and kept going with it and not apologizing until the next day when he put out a written statement. Not nothing said in person. The statement didn't even mention Don Staley by name. Like I really, maybe he's sorry, but I really don't think he cares that he looked like a jerk. Jess, I heard you say going into this final four that the four best teams, the teams that made it had been the four best teams all along, right? All season long and they'd separated themselves. Had UCLA separated themselves from the other three or was this just like a perfect storm for that weekend? I mean, cheese.
Yes, senior guard play for sure. So you guys, I mean, I think UCLA really did. There was, I mean, go back going back to Muffet, McGraws. You got a lot of flack around selection Sunday because she was really adamant and kept talking about and posting about how she thought UCLA should have been the number one overall. See because they had so many more quad one wins and had been tested a lot more than you can. You kind of obviously plays in the big east. They didn't have a really tough non-conference schedule because a lot of the non-conference games that looked tough on paper ended up being against teams like Notre Dame in January where they were not as good as Notre Dame in March and Tennessee who has now as of today lost every single player in the portal. They had a first round NCAA tournament exit. So it's not that they didn't try to schedule good out of conference games they did, but they ended up not being that strong. And then of course in the big east, not as tough as the big 10. But UCLA, I think, had throughout the season proven that last year was their first final four and all these players decided it was really important to them. Like some of them could have left and gone pro or graduated whatever, gone in the transfer portal certainly. But they thought it was really important to them to,
you know, the core to stick together and try to redeem themselves this year. And they did that. And so throughout the season, I think you just saw them get stronger and stronger and play better together. And I think that culminated in their big 10 championship game against Iowa where they won by 50 points to a two seed. I ended up being the two seed in the NCAA tournament. The Iowa did bow out a little early from the NCAA tournament. But winning a conference championship game in the big 10 by 50 points. This is still jarring to hear UCLA's big 10. I mean, it's ridiculous. So I do really think they did kind of separate themselves throughout the season and had they been the number one overall seed, I think, you know, would have been maybe less exciting because they would have just, they did play close game against Duke in this week's 16. So early eight. So, you know, it wasn't like they steamrolled everyone. And certainly the Texas game was, was really tough. And that was also a team that they lost to earlier this season. So I thought it was a really great finale for them because it shows, you know, all the things that people say they hate about college sports now, the one in Don's, the transfer portal, all that.
At the end of the day, this team had players come together, stick around for four years plus and like really decide like, this is something that we really care about. We're going to actually stay here and try to finish what we started. Jesse, do you think UNC should have made Don Staley say no? Yeah, she would have said no. Taylor. Taylor, didn't we say this exact same thing about the Knicks like last May? Yeah. Got to make Don Staley say no. Everybody else apparently told Carolina no. Yeah. Including Dusty May, I think. Yes. Well, I mean, the M and M should stand for March. I mean, right? Should rename him Dusty March, yeah. Wait, so friends love when their, their friends are miserable. Have you been laughing at Taylor all day because he got Mike Malone? He. I'm not, you know, I'm not so much laughing is like, I kind of feel bad, Taylor. I mean, you got, you already got to deal with Bill Belichick, right? Now you got to deal with this thing.
I just seems like this thing. The black department isn't in the best, uh, in the best hands right now. He hates when you remind him that Bill Belichick is his football coach. That's how crazy it's gotten. Yeah. I've kind of just tuned out the Bill Belichick football news at this point. But yes, imagine if you're Mike Malone's daughter, like, would you want your dad roaming around campus when you're college? You know, you know what? Someone texted me earlier and said, I can't wait for Mike Malone to meet Jordan. For a split second, I thought they met Michael Jordan. And then I remembered, no, Jordan with an O. Yeah, I mean, Stegatz, it's a, it seems like a weird situation. It seems like it's weird to be living a world where the Carolina job is not like everyone's jumping for it, right? Yes. But I don't know. I kind of don't want to live in that world. Yeah. No, there was a world where Dan Hurley would have left his job, a Connecticut for this job. A mid final four. That's crazy. Jess, um, I was full disclosure, I just got Paramount Plus again because it was a show that I, like, didn't finish watching.
Uh, when I had my sister's log in and I was like, fine, I'll get my own log in. And then I saw this show down there. It said made for March and I was like, that sounds kind of interesting, but I didn't know anything about it. And then I felt like I might have waited too long. It's already final four weekend. I can't really watch it, but now I'm definitely going to watch it because I found out that Lee, your fiance is involved. And I also just realized that I never actually said his last name out loud. Is it Lee Finer? Finer, yes. Finer. Okay, good job. Thank you for bringing this up. This has been the biggest cause of strain in my nascent engagement so far. You know, some couples they argue about like, should we have a wedding? Should we not have a wedding? Who do we invite to our wedding? Where are we going to have our wedding? No, we've been arguing about my lack of support for his career because he's been producing this show on Paramount Plus called Made for March. It's a four part part series about the Michigan and Kansas basketball teams in their road through March Madness. The first three episodes are out. And I believe the fourth episode will come out after this championship game because as he's been working on this, he's been the producer in charge of the Michigan storyline.
Is he, I don't know if you know this, but Michigan, they're, they've been on quite a tear. Yeah, we just found out. Yeah, playing in the championship. And like I mentioned earlier, I went to Notre Dame so I'm not the biggest Michigan fan, but Lee is having a great time. He's, you know, super, super proud of the show and everything they've done so far. And I'm going to, I'm going to be honest, it looks great. It looks fun. He's, he's told me how likable all these players are. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, I'll take your word for it. But he really likes Dusty May. And so now I'm in this position where I'm like, am I rooting for Michigan tonight? Because, you know, maybe Lee will win an Emmy or should I just emotionally hedge? I don't know, I don't care about an Emmy. I just wish that it's our fall. I wish that we'd have been talking more often because you could have given me sort of inside of trading information on Michigan. And maybe I would have had them instead of Arizona. Well, because yes, we said right after the sweet 16, both me and Izzy said that Arizona's the best team in the country. That's until I saw them play Michigan on Saturday night. As the first time I seen Michigan all year, they're good. I mean, they are good. And their best player was hurt for part of that game too, so.
And it was Dominican. I just learned that. What? Yeah. They are a really, really good basketball team with a head coach that is difficult to not like. And I say that through grit and tea. Speaking of March, Taylor, what is your bracket pool hedge dilemma that you have going on right now? Because maybe Jess can help us out with this. I'm like, I know what you should do. I'm just not certain you're going to do it. So, yeah, so I'm not going to disclose any amounts. I've told some people here. The IRS is not listening. I'm not telling anybody any amounts because then I'm not even totally worried about the IRS. Yeah, I've been backing on that my entire life. I got to be honest. Yeah, good. Something if you're not worried about the IRS, who are you worried about? Sometimes when you talk about hello. No, sometimes when you talk about how much you're going to win, some people start expecting things from your, your winning pool. Ah, okay. So you don't want your girlfriend to know. I didn't say that. I did not say that. What the record show? I didn't say that. But Jess, my dilemma here is.
If Michigan wins tonight, I win this bracket pool. A million dollars. Four figures. At least four figures, I'll say. So I don't know whether to hedge or not, because I feel like I'm in the ideal spot because Michigan is such a big favorite. Normally, I wouldn't even consider hedging. But the fact that Yaxel's hurt kind of makes me want to hedge. And the fact that it's Yukon and they're undefeated in title games kind of makes me want to hedge. I do think on paper, Michigan's a lot better. Right? Yes. On paper. Yes. The game's not played on paper. The game's not played on paper. And it's one game. Like this game's, this game's Hurley versus May, right? Like this is like coach, coach one game for your life. I don't know, Taylor. Uh, I mean, it's Yukon. They've won two out of the last three national champion. It's an easy answer. You of course. I mean, whatever the three figure amount was that you bought into this pool. $100. Okay, you'd take that $100 and you make and you just bet it on the other team.
That way you're just, you're not going to lose. One where the other. Yes, I would say more. He's got to go 500 at least on Yukon money line. He has to or if you want to. But maybe just do a light hedge. Like is he saying? Yeah. Just to get so you don't have to worry about it. A light hedge is fine. But either way, your Taylor, I will, I will say this is bringing up one of my biggest sports betting regrets of my life, which was when Michigan was in the football championship game against Washington. And I knew, I mean, everyone knew like this. Michigan's got this. Like they are going to win this game. They are definitely going to win this game. And I obviously did not want them to win the game. And I wish I had just bet the house. I really wish I had because like the emotion, at least I would have gotten something out of it. Instead, it was just like, oh man, this is disgusting. I hate this. But where I'm kind of on the fence right now is my bracket is in the 90 second percentile. And I have Michigan as my champion. I kind of just want to go down with my bracket at this point. Yeah, I mean, it's a pretty good bracket.
I love going on going on to see where my bracket ranks. And it's like six million. Yeah. And I'm like, cool. On this Fox Sports one, I was first amongst the hosts after day one. I'm pretty sure I'm like third to last now. Go down with your bracket. What does that mean? You have a guaranteed opportunity to win some money here. And a lot of money. What do you mean go down with your brackets? Ever going to Taylor for financial advice. It's a classic win-win scenario for you. Go down with the bracket. And Jess, I'm not going to lie. I watched made for March yesterday. And after watching it, and I was considering hedging Yukon, it was so pro Michigan that I was like, man, this team is going to win by 30. Well, unfortunately, there's no made for March about Yukon. Otherwise, you'd be right now hedging your life on Yukon winning the game very easily. So Lee convinced you to go down with the bracket? I mean, really? So it's kind of like when you watch hard knocks in the fall, where it's like, man, this team is going to be really good.
And then you're thinking about it and it was like, wait, they're talking about the Raiders. The Raiders are probably going to win like three games this year. Can I hedge Yukon for you? I'll make the bet. We'll go 50-50, either way. Good, good. 50-50, you get my bracket pool too? Yes. No, no. I tried to do it quickly, so he wouldn't notice. But he's on it. Nice try though. Thank you, Jess. All right, Jess, we appreciate it. Let's promote this one more time for Lee's new project. It's a four-part series on Paramount Plus made for March. They follow Michigan and Kansas, short road for Kansas, huh? Should have called it made for March. Put it on the pool. Should have been made for March. Jess, we love you. Thank you. Enjoy Master's Week, and we'll talk to you soon. Love you guys. Bye. Okay. Also, if anybody needs a Paramount Plus login, I got you. If you missed any of today's show, be sure to catch the podcast. He lost Austin Reeves in addition to losing Luca here, but that's not what we want to discuss. What happened with LeBron James here? Oh, LeBron, I thought you wanted to talk about change to subject immediately and make it the Indiana Bears because Indiana is taking over football. I mean, they are. The birthplace of football, everyone knows that. So what was Taylor helped me out here?
What's the name of the podcast that you love with the guys go golfing? Bob Doe Sports. Bob Doe Sports. I believe LeBron James is on a Bob Doe Sports podcast. What? Playing golf with the guys. And he was basically just having fun conversations. What you do on the golf course, just shoot the you know what. And he might have also shot himself in the you know what? Well, let's just say the foot because he said some stuff that was not very friendly about other NBA cities. And here's some of that sound. I'm not like the first guy you even talk about in NBA. Like we all like you guys have to move. Just go over to Nashville. You got Vanderbilt over there. You got the NASCAR. You got to state him. Don't they got a hockey team too? Yeah, it's predator. Predators. Like you got everything. Doesn't look like LeBron's going to be on the Grizzlies anytime soon. So Grizzly can's out there. Yeah, they know. They're only chances in 2003 if they're won the lottery. And I might have pulled a Eli Manning and not showed up. Yeah, so that's probably not the best thing you want to say
for other member cities of the NBA. And he later was asked about it and basically just he didn't even like apologize. He just basically doubled down and said, well, I also said Milwaukee wire people so upset. Well, covering his bases, of course. Right. Well, okay, so now just get two cities upset with you instead of just the one. The thing that got that surprised me was people sort of expecting LeBron James to say the right things really in any moment. Because Stu, I think you probably known this about LeBron because he's played in your city and know a lot about his personality. But there's two things in particular that he really cares about. Well, he played in your city, okay? He flirted with my city. New York can ever play there and he should end his career there because that's how he wants to catch Jordan. You win more championship there. It's like winning three. Well, we do have the sound apparently of him sort of doubling down here. So let's play that really quickly. Oh, I'm sorry, I thought we did my mistake. So basically that's basically what happened. He's just said, well, I also said Milwaukee
and just saying, I can't believe people get so mad about this stuff. And it's just, when you get to know, when you understand LeBron's personality and LeBron, if you go back to just the beginning of him playing basketball and people talked about what his best skill was as a basketball player, it was always the assist, right? And part of that was why Stu? Because he loves getting his teammates involved because he loves nothing more than fitting in. Like he just wants to be one of the guys, fit in, be one of the boys. That has always been that and then just not wanting to look bad, right? He wants to look good at all scenarios. Yes. That feeling is what was the overriding feeling right then and there. I'm just one of the boys just hanging out golfing with all my white friends over here. And yeah, I'm going to talk some smack about Memphis because that's how I really feel about the city. And so it's the easiest thing in the world, Stu, to just even afterward apologize to Memphis. I'm like, my bad, I said the wrong thing, whatever. Just got caught up in the moment, hanging out with my boys. Right. Instead, he did the opposite and doubled down
because he didn't want to look like he made a mistake. He didn't want to look a little dumb, right? Because yeah, it was a dumb move to make fun of Memphis, like that, especially a city like that, which more so than, you know, some of the other cities in the league. It's just a very ethnic city. It's just very black and it's just like, they take pride in that. And it's something that, as a black man, LeBron James should recognize that and maybe not pick on that one particular city. And he went on to say, oh, 41 years old in Memphis on a Thursday, I don't care how old you are, man. It doesn't justify you just because you're onc now. Talk, you just can't go around talking smack about these cities. And it just makes me like, once and for all, not that they were necessarily asking him this. They were just shooting the stuff, you know, with LeBron James. But once and for all, stop asking LeBron stuff outside of basketball. Right. Like, I don't care what his opinion is. I don't think he put much thought into it. I think he's going to give the answer that whoever's around him at the moment will most want him to give it. And it's just like, dude, you can't even the next day
put your pride aside and say, yeah, I was, maybe I have one too many. I was just talking some smack. My bad Memphis, you know we love you. I would say whatever is said on a golf course, you know, when you're playing with a bunch of guys and drinking, it doesn't matter. It doesn't count. You throw it out. You're just saying stuff to stay stuff. You don't think anyone's going to hear it. Even though he had 19 microphones and probably five cameras in front of him, it just, he's on the golf course. I mean, he's forgiven. But he's LeBronch. This is the same reason. This is what? It's a different LeBron. It's a casual LeBron. But not in 2026. Like if this was 1996 in your Michael Jordan, you can say anything you want in the golf course because it's not getting back to anybody. LeBron knows this already. He knows it's actually for a podcast. He knows it's not just him and the boys hanging out. I'm sorry. I'm distracted. I just can't believe. Bob, come LeBronch, James on the show. How many views does that thing have? It's a, I was on that show. In four days, it's gotten 2.5 million views. Ha ha ha ha. What? How many views did mine have total? I did it like two years ago. Yes, I did it.
We won by the way. Meanwhile, you got kids just bashing kids from Memphis, just bashing LeBronch, James. I don't want any part of that dude. Not that they would have had any part of that dude to begin with because like he said, he wouldn't have gone there even if he was trade drafted there. Yeah. But it's just such a, like, if you are the gifted face of the league, like you're supposed to, you're supposed to Victor Wimbanyama this thing, you're supposed to lift the league up, you're not supposed to tell them move that team to Nashville. Hmm. Taylor. 360,000 views and counting. Maybe it didn't get the proper promotion. Yeah, two years ago. Yes. Since then, it looks like they've challenged Scotty Sheffler, Tony Fino, the Mets. Huh. What do you mean the Mets? Yeah. Looks like it. Well, what did you, what did you say about Memphis on the pod? I told Bob I was going to steal his idea and run with it. That's what I told him at the time. And Bob doesn't do sports. That's the name of the, uh, the pod. Uh, he does golf. I mean, he doesn't do sports.
What are the sports as he branched out into? None. You don't play a lot of golf. Oh, Steph Curry. You know what Steph Curry wouldn't do if he was playing golf? On Bob does sports. He wouldn't do the show. He wouldn't take out an entire NBA city for no reason. Well, he does the right thing because he lives in a high it or has to stay on a high it. Yeah. Again, he got LeBron James to play golf with him. That's, that's, I brought Leveroy Horde. You guys also sound old calling Bob does sports a podcast when they're just YouTubers. Oh, sorry. Good. Whatever. Those damn, those damn podcasters, I mean, I'm off my lawn. I think I sound older calling them YouTubers. Uh, I could tell you this having done the show. Now, I don't know if anything has changed. I could tell you that you can play nine holes of golf and not feel at all. Like anyone is filming you. You can. I mean, I'm telling you is he, I did it. I played. I now be LeBron James. Is there ever a time where nobody's filming you? I think you know, I understand. He's signing up to do something that's on YouTube. He should know or podcast whatever or podcast, whatever the hell it is these days.
Uh, I have no idea. I just cannot believe because I know Bob's story. And I cannot believe Bob has turned. I think he was a bouncer or maybe a dormant at a bar at the four seasons at the four seasons. I know, but now he's got like a sports media. He's a giant in the game. Maybe the biggest in the game when it comes to YouTube and sports, because all he does is ask celebrities to play golf on them and that fat Perez guy. That guy can crush it, man. I mean, he's unbelievable. I can't believe we beat them. It was me, Leroy Horde and Chris Cody. I mean, they're out drawing the Valero open 1000% this past weekend. What? Shouldn't they start a podcast though? I feel like it would do numbers. They do have a podcast. All right. So I was right. It's just not their YouTube channel. Oh, directly me for no reason. So LeBron, I mean, listen, it was a terrible, what do you want me to do with this? I mean, I'm just saying it was a terrible job by LeBron. I think he should apologize.
He's not going to apologize. And he knows Memphis is never going to get him. And so I mean, it's just, I don't know, LeBron being LeBron, I guess. Well, that's my whole point. It's just when people can wake up and stop expecting anything out of LeBron James in terms of public opinions. Like he's going to mess up like this, even when somebody didn't ask him a difficult question. Yes, but do you think people wake up and have any sort of expectation for LeBron? And his public opinion, I do. I think a lot of sports fans, even like I just said, there was some guys in Memphis, some young kids in Memphis trashing him, but there are people who worship LeBron James. There are people who think he can do no wrong. There are people who've got them in the same category as Tiger Woods and will defend him regardless. So yeah, there are people who think they're of him. And it's the same, it's like I was saying before in the realm of Michael Jordan. Like when he said, uh, Republicans by sneakers two and got all the criticism, he should have been praised until the end of time for saying that because you're better off not saying anything than showing you know what. Right. And LeBron just does it all the time. Right. There was the time where we wanted him to say something and he didn't say anything, right? Yeah, once he didn't say anything on Tamir Rice and Cleveland, you knew,
you knew this guy is really not good for anything outside of basketball. I'm sorry, it's true. How many views for LeBron and Bob does sports 2.5? Why am I so mad at Bob does sports? Why am I lashing out of Bob does sports? He invited me on a show. He's a very nice guy. Why am I lashing out? I don't know. He's got a bigger empire than I do. That's why I'm lashing out of Bob does sports. Why am I getting on him for only doing golf and not doing sports? He's got a bigger empire than me and he hasn't invited me back since. I got to be honest with you. I'm offended by it. I'm the only one who's beaten him. They're undefeated. That Perez, Ben, I'm telling you, three, 20 off the T's. He's great. Has Bob even had Jess Matan on the T. See that jacket? The great master's jacket. She was wearing the Lakers. I thought they were going to win the title. They're not anymore, right? I mean, that's over. I mean, it's interesting though that Luke is going to Europe to handle his hamstring. Why does everyone go to Europe? I mean, do what in the United States here?
What are they hiding in Europe? That's the thing. What is it that we can't see? What is going on in Europe that we're not allowed to see Kobe wants to Europe? Tigers now in Europe, I think he's outside of the United States. Everyone's going to Europe to get their stuff done. What's happening there? They're taking your blood out and mixing something in there that only they have in Europe and then putting it back in and all of a sudden you're healed. It's weird. All right, a couple of baseball stories coming up next. I can't wait for this because an 81 year old man is being bullied by the Dodgers. We'll talk about it coming up next. Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godsson Company live weekdays at 3 p.m. Eastern 12 p.m. Pacific. On the serving pancakes podcast, conversations about volleyball go beyond the court. This has been serving pancakes and will catch you on the flip side. Okay. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of iHeart Women's Sports. All right. There are two baseball stories I'd like to get to before we get out of here. Taylor, what is going on with the Dodgers? Why are they bullying an 81 year old that has had season tickets for the last 50 years? What is happening there? So the 81 year old in question, his name is Errol Siegel. Right. The Dodgers have told them art tickets have gone fully digital.
Download the MLB ballpark app to access your tickets. Errol has come out and said, I own a flip phone. He doesn't know how to use a computer. He's offered to pay extra money to LA for them to print them. They said no, like figure out a way to get these tickets. Here's the catch. Yeah. He went to a Dodgers game. And if you go to a Dodgers game the day of the game and you go up to the box often say, hey, I want two tickets please. You know what they do? They print tickets. They print tickets. Right. So this feels like a situation if somebody is ever going to be grandfathered in. And it's somebody that looks like somebody's grandfather. So he can't go to that same window where they buy tickets and say, hey, I bought my tickets just in one large package. Can I get that ticket printed out? That cannot happen. They refuse to print. They're saying no exceptions. We're not printing your tickets. He's a 50 year season ticket holder. It's embarrassing. They win back to back titles and all of a sudden they're turning their back on 50 plus year old fans.
Yes. He just wants a ticket stop. Right. Just so I'm clear though, he wants the physical tickets. He wants tickets in hand because he's 81 years old and that's the way he's always entered a game. I don't even think it's what he wants. It's how he can enter the game because his phone doesn't have the technology. His flip, let's be honest. Even if the phone had the technology at 81 years old, he still wouldn't know how to use it. Okay. And so I mean, I am 52 years old and I can't use my phone. Correct. Right. I mean, that's a quite the dilemma there because unless it's in the thing that you sign when you buy your season tickets. There's so many things in my Apple wallet. Exactly. Who's reading all of those policies when you sign that nobody? Is it you're saying it's quite the dilemma? It doesn't feel like there needs to be a dilemma here. Just print the guys tickets. Yep. No, the dilemma is, yeah, you're right. It's not really a dilemma, but it's just the Dodgers. It's a Dodgers, right? The Dodgers just have to change this ridiculous policy. And if they happen to have a bunch of people knocking on their door saying, hey, I do have a flip phone.
I can't do this. They're going to question them. They're probably lying. Okay. It probably is only going to be three or four people of this age group that you're going to have to print out tickets for. So if the Dodgers the past five years were like a 500 baseball team and this fan is begging to go to games, I think they print the tickets. I think this is a case that the Dodgers have gotten too big for their own brand where they're now turning their nose on some of their models. But what does this fan have to do then? Like other than bring attention to it and have us talking about it. Like is he going to have to stand outside of the stadium just like this? And I've got tickets. I can't get in and then just get a whole group of protesters saying, let him in. Print his tickets or something like that because it's the only way it's going to work. I would say chain yourself to Dodger Stadium. That works. That's what I would say. Yes. Right. We just get somebody's grand kid to print them out for you. Let's get him on the show. No, let's get behind this man and get him on the show and get his tickets printed. That's what I think we should do. So Shohei Otani had that big scandal that got conveniently covered up where his interpreter took the fall for him.
If Shohei Otani wants to win the public opinion back on him. Right. Shohei has to sit out until this guy gets his tickets printed. You know what? You're right. Yeah, you're right. It's a great point. It's a great take. Shohei needs to print out his tickets, stack them all up and deliver those tickets to the guys house. How about that? We're walking hand in hand with Errol. Yes. Yes. It's a perfect name for an 81 year old. What's his last name? Siegel? Errol Siegel. If I knew nothing else, you told me his name was Errol Siegel. I'd be like, that guy's 81. I would say 81 and a 50 year season ticket holder for the Dodgers. That's what I would say. And Shohei Otani, it's such a great take by Taylor. He needs to get those tickets printed. I mean, do something. Should be in prison. I mean, get the tickets printed. Let's go. I think he came over with the team from Brooklyn. He's still called them Brooklyn. When they moved, he moved. Siegel. I mean, I totally understand them and I feel terrible for the guy because of course he wants his tickets printed.
That's the way they've always been. Okay. And now you're right Dodgers. Big L.A. Dodgers. I mean, seriously, they went a couple of World Series and all of a sudden their fans don't matter. Why? Because if Siegel cancels his tickets, there's a line of about a million people waiting to take him. It's unbelievable. I don't think there's anything you can do for 50 plus years consecutively and not get rewarded. They're probably double selling this guy's tickets and he doesn't know it. I am on that. Even if you just pay your mortgage every month over the course of 50 years, you know your reward will be about halfway in. You will have paid off your house. Congratulations. If I am a season ticket holder for 50 years, there needs to be tiers of levels of things that I get. And one of those things better be a couple of pieces of paper with my ticket printed on it. Yes. Get Siegel on the, get him on the show. Let's see what a picture's case. I do. I want to help him out. Yes. Yes. Your honor. I want to turn him against Otani.
I mean. How do you recommend us getting in contact with a guy who says he doesn't even own a flip phone? Wow. And he doesn't know how to operate. Listen, not my problem. I mean. You want me to say that? Carry him. Yes. Carry him. We'll have to just go backward and see which everyone actually hits. We'll start with, you know, a letter and then we just go back from there. Pony Express, blah, blah, blah. So I'm writing out a letter to him right now. I'm going to put it in a message in a bottle and it'll probably get to LA in three weeks. Do you think AI call in consent of a message? That would be great. He has to have a landline. I am telling you right now that guys got a home phone. Just look it up. Like you're cold calling. Just look forever. Still in the white pages. Yeah. Yeah. Ask Colin as is he, as is he, as you admitted to go. Let's see what Colin's advice is on this. I play every stat, every storyline. I've got it all. What do you want to know? All right. Colin, what do you think about the Dodgers not printing out the tickets for an 81 year old who's been a season ticket holder for 50 plus years? All right. That's one he's on the Fox Sports Radio app.
He doesn't know it. Hold on a second. That's a bad look for the Los Angeles players. When a guy's been a season ticket holder for over 50 years, you don't hide behind policy. And pretend you can't solve it. If the box office can print a single game ticket, then the organization can figure out a simple, secure work around for one loyal fan. That's basic customer service. I know. That's the kind of stuff that turns a feel good brand into a cold corporation real fast. Yes. So tell me. Do you think they should just grandfather him in and move on? Why does he always answer a question with a question, this AI Colin coward. That's how he'll turn him out. All I know is even fake Colin is better than anything I'm doing here. So I'm just going to pack it up and leave and maybe not come back. Fake Colin's good, man. He is good. So good. That lets his mouth rush for Monday. I mean, that's the herd right there. I forgot about that. Like he said Colin Kaepernick.
I'm pretty sure he said Kellen Moore is on his Mount Rushmore of athletes and everyone entitled. Someone is so getting fired for that. Although I think Colin doesn't care. I'll tell you what, that thing knows how to get clicks. Shacheng! So does Bob. Bob. On the Serving Pancakes Podcast, conversations about volleyball go beyond the court.
