6:14stupidity and take zero accountability. At least this guy who speaks and spits the dumbest stuff takes accountability. So I give him credit for that. He's wearing a full on Cardinals costume. We're seeing his Halloween costume a few months early. Oh, Oh, our Arizona affiliates are loving this right now. We tell you, they bumped into the most ill prepared week ass offensive plan by Mike McDaniel, who I used to respect. This guy just cost me weeks of lunch. If you don't remember, Rich has been done on the Cardinals since we started talking football. Oh, they're going to lose. And he's been pumping up the charges saying McDaniel was going to unlock the greatness of Herbert. Dude, Rich said that they wouldn't have one win until Christmas time. One win if that against the judge. They want the opener against the Charters. I think food. I think they're going to have one win at Christmas now. Oh, I'm not only is he doubling down though.

7:17He's tripling down on the fact that they just got lucky that the Chargers just played that back. Now they'll go with I couldn't believe how unprepared and how how do you think they're going to be able to do that? So you're blaming all of this on the Chargers. You're not giving the Cardinals any credit. We told you about the weapons they had on offense. And if their defense stepped up, their ceiling was five, six games. You were only giving them one win after Christmas. They won 26 14, pretty convincing, pretty strong. Yeah, of course, I don't believe the Charters played to their potential. But I think you got to give Jacobi Bresset and a lot of his new weapons, some some credit and some good coaching. Pride is a top tier tight end. Jeremiah Love did show that he's a great player. But like Jacobi Bresset played the greatest game of his life. He's tough. If you if you showed me two box scores and said one was going to be Herbert, one was going to be Bresset. I guarantee 99.9 percent of you would have said, oh, this is her. Ever requests what since you know, you're playing by our rules since you're a big loser of the day.

8:20You got to say cuck-off there every sentence. Let me tell you because that's where people just listening. They got a punt blocked. Where is they they are in the red zone in the red zone a guy on the Charters bumped into his own teammate and fumbled. That everybody's watching. What's that? This is way better than the King trumpet music he was supposed to get. It's Jesus. And I can't wait to eat steak on your behalf because he's talked. This is weeks of smack talk and they won the first game. They're not going to do. They're not going to win week two against them by your sea hawks or week three against my Niners. The Giants will go less that's their. We don't want that. Danny G and I and I think took the stand that they weren't going to be that bad out of nowhere. They looked really, really solid and preseason. They made it to the good moves. They really did. I know it's just preseason, but you know, you can't say it doesn't matter just what it just when it caters to your your point. Right. So I thought they look good. I think preseason matters. They were playing tough. Whatever. They made a lot of good moves. And now now you're paying the price. What's up, DB?

9:21By the way, we don't want Red Feathers Davis on the sea hawk side after the whole they got lucky and won. So don't try to jump on over just to try to take one to the Cardinals. I mean, you saw a Drew Lock did week one as a backup. It's only a five point spread. It would have been 10 if Sam Darlalde was there. It's a five point sea hawk spread at this point. So what do I owe you Nimrod's lunch this week? And it's a week until December 20th. I'm not sure once or red, red feathers Davis. Yeah. Yeah. Black card Davis man. His credit card is going to take a hit. But again, even though I'm embarrassed to be sitting next to this guy, at least we're the show. And he's the guy that takes accountability. You know, I think more shows and more people should because you know, we people say stupid things. And then like we didn't remember what they said the the week before. I reposted it the other day and I even called that some of our own Colin and and Nick Wright. And when they all when they went in, but when people know, like even in life, I mean, I'm not talking about how internet right.

10:22But in life when people say something and you're supposed to pretend like it never happened. There was a montage that I reposted on my Instagram of all the people saying how, you know, it's a Rams tune up game. The Niners, it's a dude. They're playing for everything and and you know, the next day it's forgotten. I'll at least say something happened. Oh, I don't know what it was. Whether it's, you know, they're just better than we think they're perhaps a little more prepared. Maybe I didn't give perhaps maybe I didn't give stop saying prepared. They played well. Their defense got after Herbert the entire game. Or you could say and on the flip side, his offensive line was was pretty offensive. Right. So they want to know and they don't have they don't have all our O lines injured as an excuse. And again, anything happens just week one. They're not as bad as you made them out. They they was a fourth quarter sack that Justin Herbert took. That he gave like you don't want to ever show up your line. But did you see the one where he hands up his hands up like, oh, like no one like no one saw the left side.

11:26Like two guys, you know, I think two things could be true. The the chargers underperformed. They're they're well-emming at best. Again week one and the Cardinals are a little better than you gave him credit for. And you pay the price as a result of all your smack talk. So hey, maybe your dad was right. Maybe you should have come down a little bit with your Cardinals take here. Oh, man, our YouTube chat is going nuts. Oh, yeah. I had to restart the computer almost everything. And Vince Garcia says two teams won yesterday by not having Kyler Murray in their lineup. Go figure. You know what? That's part of the things that made you go. I you know, let's get into it. We do it every football season. It's our first edition of things that made you go. Hmm. Things that make you go. Things that make you go. I said to Kavino. I said very few upsets. I just hate that the one game that like meant something to me as far as my running take on the show is the one huge

12:32upset because besides that there were a couple teams that played tighter. The fact that the Saints pushed the Lions to that failed two point conversion. Like that could have went the other way. Yeah, the other team you put food. For the most part though, I said a lot of upsets, but there were some surprises. I said Niners. My Niners just sort of having their way with the Rams. DB talked about that the next day when him and Monsey filled in. But other than the Niners sort of handling the Rams and the Cardinals beating the chargers. A lot of the other games sort of went the way we thought they would like Steelers, Ravens, Bills, Bears, Jags like those are all. Those are all favorite teams. I think you weren't surprised that the Giants looked pretty sharp. You weren't surprised that the Vikings pulled that out with wence. So there were surprises. I'm not saying there were upsets, but I was pretty surprised with some of the outcomes and since the Carl's the Kavino and Rich listeners already brought up Kyler Murray. Let's talk about him. That was a little.

13:32That was a little frightening to say the least. So Kyler Murray that looked really scary out there. We got on our group text like, oh, that was bad. You guys see that there was a moment where it was almost to a S grade like is he clunchen? Is he? He got rid of the ass. And he's a smaller dude out there. But you got to say it made you say, hmm. When you saw wence sort of take over and you saw their defense shut down green bad. I thought that was pretty interesting. Like what does that say about wence moving forward? What does that say about this team? I just thought that was pretty interesting. And you know, since they brought up Kyler Murray, I'll bring that up right off the bat. And this is where we get you involved as well. 87799 on Fox any takeaways, primarily football, but anything that you may have experienced in sports over the weekend, things that made you go. Week one NFL edition. All right. Can I hit you up with something? Sure. Let me hit you up with your boy Baker Mayfield who at times looked tough and battled.

14:34But you know, Mr. Bruturfingers dude had a stay not have sticky fingers. Mr. Bruturfing guy was you know, just couldn't protect the ball and that game was closer than it should have been because Baker let that ball go one too many times. Like that's a game that Joe burrow and Cincinnati should be happy they got out. They got out of but they played wells. You know, also, how about something you hit me up with something I didn't notice. And I think you'll forget was Russell Wilson the guy this I liked his. I did not like his hairdo, but that do cares. Got a hair don't, but what I did like got to do. I mean, listen, I'm a big fan of the Fox team. Not because we work at Fox Sports, but you know, I like those knuckleheads like, you know, Terry Bradshaw and you know, they, you know, how we long we've known those guys for years. Jimmy Johnson, they're not very good at reading like the halftime highlights. They sort of stumble through them, but we accept it because they're lovable. So like shack and barkly where it's like they're just great. So we take it. Yeah. What was the vibe like he was confident and smooth. It was almost like like politely reading like sports center highlights.

15:35Like he really was like he took a class. It's almost like he took a class like he was came prepared. He came. He came ready. I respect that. That's pretty cool. And I did see that during those halftime reports, he was sort of taken the lead voice in many of those spots and get this much like some of the teams that may have struggled or even look good. Russell Wilson is going to get better and better each week. You know, it's this week one. So that's pretty cool. That's a high compliment coming from professional broadcaster. Red Miss Dicky Redfathers Davis. Dinky Kaka Davis D. me in the fantasy world. Kavino goes, he goes, yeah, they're pretty good. The Bajan was okay. I go, Bajan had the production. He had only at one touch. He had to make me look dumb when you're wearing a stupid costume in a studio. He had he had the production numbers of a running back at a wide receiver in the same game, right? Yeah, he was the B Robinson show because even Brian Robinson got a little run for Atlanta. But when you had Cooper rush there, it was just a lot of Bajan Robinson. Let them targets. I led them in rushes.

16:36It was a one man show and they hung with the Steelers for a while. Now, what was your take on the Jets Titans? Are the Titans just still far away or the Jets improve? And because we think the Jets will jet when they actually played decent, we're surprised. I think it's that. Yeah, think it's that. And I think the fans were punched down. Is Jeno more of a polished suitable like mid-level QB than we give him credit for? I think a defense at least has to account for Geno Smith throwing the football. Now he may throw it to the other team at times that has has happened. However, like he is going to get his weapons involved. There's also the thought that Tennessee is just not where it is. And there are some people who wondered why Robert Salah even took this job. Because you go to the Jets and then that doesn't work out. Then you go to the Titans. You don't get third chances a lot if you don't have any success whatsoever. We have had that conversation many times, D.V., where you only get a third chance if you've had success. Yes. And you said guys, look at a second chance, but you're not going to go over to and have two terrible tenures

17:38and get a third shot. And we were obviously concerned with Tennessee coming in. But to take nothing away from the Jets, they went there on the road and got a win. How about the bear scoring 59 points? Could have probably scored more. My biggest takeaway from the weekend. And remember they said not only they're going to beat teams, they want to clobber teams and score the most points ever. 59 points against the Panthers, not a bad start, but is their defense suspect because they let up 37 points? Or can the Panthers score as well? Or the Panthers good because young looked alright. So like there's a lot of takeaways there. But man, I thought Caleb Williams, like solid, the guy ran when he had to. He dropped times when he had to. He scored 59 points, could have scored more. That was that was pretty significant stood out a lot to me over the weekend made me say, hmm, the bears because Rich posed a question on her Patreon to me before he said, who do you think the top five teams were this weekend? I said, let's over react. I mean, we're, you know, into week one. Who's that? I mean, we don't know. It's only one week. But I'd have to have the bears in that conversation if they're able to put up that many points.

18:41But again, they let up a lot. So yeah, bears are in that conversation for sure. That's a major, major takeaway. Your thoughts on that. It made me go, hmm, I'll tell you what we'll find out. We'll find out next week. As of course, my phone's out loading when I'm looking. Who do the Panthers play next week? Are the bears? The is the bears defense Susto. That's that's the question. I'm a little confused on that Falcons Falcons. So if the Panthers put up, you know, another 28 plus spot, you know, they put up 37. Then we might say, oh, well, the Panthers could score. I think you can't, you can't look at the Panthers in that one game and really assess much because the bears we knew are going to be explosive. But 59 points. Look at anything except for you and that costume right now. But we can't, no, we can't look at anything week one and think that much about it. But you know, we got to work with what we got and it's exciting. Man, I could keep going things that make you go, hmm. Because I watched all these games and then I watched all the highlights again and again. And I was on the plane last night. So I'm trapped just watching direct TV, all the highlights on the way back.

19:46So I have so many thoughts. By the way, we're coming back from the East Coast, back to the West Coast. We were at the Yankees Metz 9-11 tribute game. You may have heard us chime in. We called into Dan Byron, Monsey from the stadium. And man, what a great, great time. Heavy-hearted and emotional, but what a beautiful night. So it's good to be back and hope you had a great weekend. You know, it was frustrating for me. And I think we all experience bedbeats here and there when you're gambling. And at one point it was seven nothing lions. And I was able to get a pretty like even money bet on lions minus three and a half. And I said, Lions minus three and a half. I jumped on a quick and I'm like, sweet. They were up 21 nothing. It felt like the safest bet. And then even in overtime when they scored when they scored the Tuddy, you know, overtime, I'm like, all right, sweet. Now they just have to stop the Saints and it was like the only bad outcome that could happen.

20:47I was going to talk about the giants and I'll get to that. Bad beat, but since you brought up the Saints. Yeah. How about this maybe say, hmm, how hard they battled the Lions and Tyler's sucks showing some heart. And they went for two at the end. They said, not a tie is no bueno. We're going for the win. Now that risky move. Again, if it works, man, the balls on that team, what a win. But it didn't. So it made me say, hmm, like is that too risky in that moment? What are they always say on the road? Go go go for it. Also because of the overtime rules, the Lions would have gotten the football back. It won the game when they've ended in a tie. The Lions would have had a minute and a half to go down and score and kick their own field. Goal. So a tie would have been the best probably that the Saints could have done in that situation. So not much of a debate for you. No, not at all. In fact, I'll say this because I said this on our show that carry roads and Montsebelanielson, I know do Sunday's five o'clock Eastern time to Pacific that I think there's going to be more of a conversation on would a team actually

21:48go for two if they score the first touchdown and overtime. Remember when the Rams and Cocks played that Thursday night game when you have teams going up and down the field, you almost assume that the other team is going to score. Do you want to go for two to make sure that you can extend the game or do you how do you want to defend it? I'm not saying it's the smart move. I just think that you have a conversation about it like all right. Do we have a play here that we like because I think the Rams last year, yeah, they scored and they kicked the the extra point, but they knew Seattle was probably going to go for two at that point. Just like the Lions probably knew of the St. scored. They were going to go for two. And they covered it nicely. So yeah, they had to figure that out. You know what? I had two takeaways from that though, Rich. I feel like the Saints leave knowing they could battle and hungry because they were so close to winning that game. And then the Lions, if you watched after the game, Jared Goffs in the locker room really hyping up the team next level. I think they realized they could also battle, but they have to step it up a little because I was too close for comfort. My head night style, my observation with the Lions would be that since Ben Johnson

22:48left, which has been over a year now, they're still missing that magic offensive sauce, like something's just not clicking the way when when Ben Johnson was running that offense. So they're still good. I mean, they're still there came in well came away with a dub, but I would say being that overtime is only 10 minutes, right? And my it's 10 minutes. I look at it like the urgency. You know, on baseball now they, you know, you start to run a second. Some people hated it at first, but it moves the game along. I feel like I feel like I still hate it. It looting to a damn buyer said it forces an urgency to like, hey, go for the win. No, like I think the 10 minutes, I don't think you'll see many ties because I think a team's like, what's a tie? Let's go for it or not. And I think you are going to see. It shows people. And I think you're going to see a lot of teams being like, let's go for the win or not. I think very rarely unless it's a playoff picture type of situation where I guess it's in. I guess it's in. I think most teams are not going to sell for a tie. I don't think we yelled enough on national radio last season that we need to extend that period by a few more minutes. But I think there's a weird urgency though, Danny.

23:49It's sort of fun that like, wow, it's almost like overtime. It seems like it keeps ending the same way where that team has the ball. And they're like, what do we do here? Because we're not going to get the ball back. If I won the toss, I would try to run as much clock as I could. Yeah. So like that because even if you kick a field goal, the other team still gets the football, but there may only be two minutes left if you drove down the field and took off eight minutes. I was saved. You have a nice sweet eight minute drive where you're pacing yourself. You really couldn't leave the other team. Here's the ball. Two minutes. It was a fun battle. Fun fun battle. The defense overall played great. And yeah, you know, I saw some haters on social media last night saying, calm down. You didn't win the super blow. It's the dolphins. But hey, they could have lost to the dolphins and then every one, those haters would have said, huh, you lost to the stinky dolphins. So you know, I can't win. You know, the probably the game of the two best teams have played each other yesterday.

50:47We have an even mention that it's Josh Allen with that dart in the fourth quarter that. That like 30 yards slant down that that was a really fun game to watch. And then rolled right into Kurt Cousins. I wanted to mention his because I know he was kind of mid. He did drive the team right down the field on that opening drive and scored. And he looked he looked good. I mean, he had three short touchdown passes, but anytime he tried to throw down the field, it seemed like it was a problem. Ashton Gentie obviously stole the show on offense for Vegas. He looks solid. You know that, that, that, that, that, that bill's win. I think it did take away a little bit from the fact that I think Houston will be a force to be reckoned with this year. Just that they happen to, they drew, they drew the bills we want. Like I would not be shocked if Houston, the Raiders 10 seconds and then you went to the bills. I know man the Raiders, huh? Am I right? And I did want to point out one thing, not football related. And apparently fans are all conspiring to like not like give this guy the biggest standing, the given the biggest standing ovation ever to let the

And if you're going to stay away from football just for a second, what made me go, hmm, this weekend was how Ryan Garcia do. The highlights were sick. Dominating. He went to Mexico. Yet people still have a problem with him not speaking Spanish, which is ridiculous. It doesn't make him any less Mexican. Selena didn't speak Spanish. I really love Selena, right? Leave Garcia alone. And of course I'm going to say that because your boy here doesn't speak Spanish really that well. So I was proud of him because he out bullied the bully. But people that had a problem with the early stoppage make me go, hmm, because yeah, it was stopped maybe a few seconds too soon, but Connor Ben was not coming back from that fight. He was done. He was out on his feet. So if you're concerned about protecting the safety of the fighters, I think it was handled well. And hope you enjoyed the fights over the weekend. 52:52I was at my buddy Jason's on Saturday, his kids birthday party, all the, all the dads and some of the moms were gathering around watching when they were down by less than two tuts. I said, you know, this, I felt so destined for like, all right, Texas gets the ball back. They'll be down by less than a school less than a tuts. And they could do this. But you're not giving arch many credits. I like you have some miraculous performance. So DB who gets the who gets the credit? You know, you're the wrong guy to ask this. You know what my look? Yes. I know you're on the guy, but who do you? What do you get the credit to? Is it just like not to high school? I'll tell you that much. Yeah, they know they they had about seven plays that they could have made that would have sealed the deal. They could have heard some four pounds. I felt that Texas actually abandoned the run at some point. They probably could have gotten more at that point. But when you're up 23 to three, you have to do a lot wrong to a lot of the other team. Yeah, I'm not trying to rub it in. Maybe I'm just saying like I know watching that game. I felt like it wasn't like Texas was like, man, could you believe that down the stretch performance by blank? I was like, it seemed like more. They just kept crawling back in with.
