Free agent wide receiver Hollywood Brown signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday after two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. He joined a YouTube show hosted by Emmanuel Acho and former Chiefs running back Lashon McCoy to talk about the move. Brown had high hopes when he arrived in Kansas City to play with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but a shoulder injury in the first preseason game of the year 2024 sideline him for most of the season. After surgery, he returned just before the playoffs. Brown feels he would have had a breakout year without that setback, calling his training camp one of his best ever. He praised the chiefs culture under head coach Andy Reed and the veteran leaders, even after their disappointing 2025 season that missed the playoffs. Brown said the team treated it as a learning experience and stayed united, predicting a strong rebound next year.

Reed even helped recommend him to the Eagles. Brown has played with both Mahomes and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and he nearly returned to Baltimore before choosing Philadelphia. He avoided picking a better quarterback, but strongly defended Jackson as one of the most underappreciated, pure football players around.
