If you're not just thought of, if I were Howie and Jalen's agent came up asking for 70 plus million per season. Seven of them, thanks. In an extension, I would probably laugh like T-Mac. If I'm being honest about that. Yeah, a full on Tom McCarthy, Hughes Clues laugh. That's what I would do. No, I mean, that's what I, that's what I feel.
04No. Thank you. That laughed. That was a hardy laugh, though. It was an amazing laugh. It was my favorite part of a very fun trip to clear one. All right, 215-592-94. We'll get back to your phone calls. We got you people coming up at the end of the show today. We also have our Twitter question, sponsored by the PI Dental Center. Your smile is the first thing others see when they meet. You learn about and schedule your evaluation at PIDentalCenter.com. Before you've been asking you the question, you hear what do you do the percentage break? 78%! There it is, 78% today. As it is every single day on the midday show. So the question we had today was, well, a couple questions. At this point, will you be upset if AJ Brown goes to the Patriots? Yes. No, 61% no, 39% yes. Oh, okay. And then this one was interesting. Would you trade Nolan Smith and the 23rd pick from Axe Crosby? How do you think people voted on that? I would probably say yes, probably. That's probably more like, that's probably about 75%. 70% yes. Yeah. All right, I can see that.
04So would you say you won the first poll and got crushed in the second one? I would say, yeah. I would probably do that. People cool this on that second one, though. You ever think that maybe you cool this? Well, yeah. I do like maybe it's not the people. I got this. This is vision about the 23rd pick in the draft. Yeah. I feel like we can get a pretty, pretty service with that. Why don't want service? I want Max. I know you want Max Crosby. We all do. We're all getting excited about, you know, guys from other people's squad and whatever. I don't know. I mean, it's great players. Yeah. No doubt. He's a good player. He's a great player. Yeah, he's a good player. Great. See, this is why the allegations are out there that you don't want him here to go over your records. Oh, no. Listen, what I was supposed to do in the league, I did it. Kay, you do no more. So, I mean, I'm happy for Max. I'm just, I just try to tag this thing logically. Now, because it's clear that most folks we talk to on a daily basis, they're doing it more with their heart instead of their head. Well, I tried to give you logic on why I can't pay Joe on 70 and you didn't want to do that. But you didn't want to go there without that. You didn't go to the beast. No, it doesn't have to be. I mean, it doesn't have to be, but that's, if he asked what that's probably what it's
04going to be. Ooh, it better not be. All right. Before we go any further, speaking of the way it is and the way it has to be, we may have to have a ruling here on what is going on with our morning show host. So, yesterday the voice crack happens. We had the questionable shot at the afternoon show, whatever that was, as they set up Joe Versace Jack coming up in a couple weeks. But this morning, so we know last week was a tough week for Beat the Hammer, right? Joe lost last week. Took a, I believe that was, he got shot out last week as zero, so we got set up. What about today? Kyle Schorber trivia. How did the end of that one sound today? Seven players who at 40 or more home runs in a season for the Phillies, named one of the other four. I didn't even hear you said Schorber, who and who? Schorber. There is nothing that gives anyone in this world more joy than John Richie watching
10the camera go down and beat the hammer. It gives him the life, but the question is, after two straight weeks, something needs to be done. It's very clear. All right. Here, what do you think? What kind of punishment, suspension, I mean, we can't just roll out beat the hammer next week as if nothing's going on here. The guy got shot out two weeks in a row. I think what's happening to me right now is suspension enough to get ridiculed heavily. Well, I think the most egregious thing, you know, getting beat twice is one thing, but letting the time run out and now look at that, like at that point, you stalling for time. You stalling. You were stalling because you didn't know. I think I think he probably needs to just tighten his game, but a little bit. He needs to go back to the level and tighten it up. Here's my suggestion. Maybe he's not so deserving right now of the hammer moniker. Oh, okay. Because the hammer signifies he's going to bring the hammer. He's the best that this is not hammer active.
12So maybe we just put that on hold until he bounces back and he can earn it back. Well, how would that sound? How would that be? I mean, if you want to hear, we just need to redact it from the open. Okay. Let's hear it. So he's not that guy anymore. He has to re-earn the hammer moniker. Yeah. I know. I'm saying he going through it right now. I know the guy's an easy stumbling over. Yeah. He's like a 300 game winner and you respect that, right? But you often wonder when you run out of bullets. I know. I mean, every pitcher has. Every great has. I'm not saying Joe's watch. Father time is on the feet. But Joe is. Joe needs to pick his game back. I think he would say that. I think he will. But I think it's a good suggestion. Maybe next week we just take it out. You think Fritz is in his head? You think that's what it is? Well, it's coming up. That's true. He was on a good run during his time off from the athletic competition. Does it line up with when they establish that this new, this date was going to happen for basketball? I believe it did. Yeah.
13Is that what it was? Okay. I mean, I'm just, I'm trying to think he let me work through it in my head. But it's possible that that's the case. I think I think there's something to that. We'll see where it goes next week. I just, the one thing I do enjoy though, John Richie's joy in John Richie's voice is unlike anything you'll hear on this radio station. That's like a team wins a championship joy that John has with his, when it's called Lucis. That's what I'm saying. That's probably enough of him because the ridicule last couple of days that he's had since he's, you know, since this happened, like, you know, with the voice cracking. Yeah. Well, I mean, what is it? Yeah. Yeah. What's going on? Okay. Yeah. All right. Joe, take the weekend and let's bounce back next Friday because we have, we need to take the weekend. Yeah. Take the weekend and let's, let's bounce back. All right. Let's go back to the phone lines here. Big V. In Mount Laurel. Big V. In Mount Laurel. Big V. What's up, big V. All right. First of all, Joe, you're petty. Yes. Well, I am on this I am. Screw AJ Brown wanted to get to the Patriots. I don't care.
13Oh, yeah. Let AJ Brown go to the Patriots is probably the best thing for the Eagles. Why? Because his little demon nature is going to start up and he's going to destroy the entire Patriot team. Maybe. Maybe, but I don't want to be happy next week when he's sitting there with, you know, label and they're all smiling and nonsense. The men, he doesn't get the ball. He's not happy. Next thing, you know, he'll be on a Patriot's fire line with another book. And, you know, he'll be looking to the media, how, you know, he can't dominate and be the number one person because they're not giving them the ball. You're probably right. It's probably, it's probably inevitable that he hates his next quarterback too. That's probably what happens. He probably. And I don't work out great because he'll go to the playoffs and, you know, drop free passes. Let him go. All right. I get it. I mean, I'm going to remain petty. But you could be right. He could ruin the Patriots too. All right. It's a big V. Let me answer your petting. Uh-huh. You wouldn't want to pay a quarterback that took you to two Superbowls, one, one and five
15payoffs. You wouldn't pay him that money? Get petty. Seventy. It's not petty. This is just dollars and cents. Seventy million per season. Okay. And he's not worth that. So you're saying you're petty and cheap? Not cheap. Is anyone using their brains here? Does anyone watch Jaylon play last year and said, yeah, it's a seventy million dollar player. No, we do. Okay. So out of five years, he had one off year. Oh, just one. No, he had one. No, he had one great year because he's dealing with a diva and no office of line. He has one off year. And you don't think he's worth it. He's had more off years than he's had great years. You guys have lost your mind. Look, look, Jaylon, Jaylon's worst year compares the debt, what a bad, that's the best year. Well, that's not really true. I mean, that's not even that's actually not even close to trust. Okay. Right. That includes. No, it's actually not. I mean, that's, that's the regular season. I don't think Jaylon's ever come close to that spest if we're, if we're being honest here. Okay. Okay. Well, let's be honest.
15Um, we're trying to make your laugh. What you got? How about? Okay. I saw on TV this guy, he was in his hundreds and him and his wife have been married for over 80 years. So the reporter, so he said, well, how was that? He said, well, we never had an argument in 80 years. She said, you didn't why not? He said, because when we got married, we went to the justice of the piece and, you know, then we had horses. So the horse stumbled and she told the horse, that's one, he said, then, you know, the horse hit her with, with his tail and she told the horse, that's two, and they kept her on riding, then the horse bucked a little bit and she told the horse, that's three. She got off the horse and shot him. So he said, why'd you shoot the horse? So she looked at her husband and she said, that's one. Well, yeah, that, that would, that would stop any argument for me, big, big, big V. Oh, my gosh. It's fall. That's the end. Big, big V. Big V, appreciate the call. How about Big V taking it to where he'll just tell us a joke? Yeah.
16He didn't give us a comedian. He didn't give us a TV show or movie. He told us a joke. Yeah. I mean, I mean, I mean, you guys didn't laugh as hard as team act though. No, no, no. Thank you. I should have played that track with Big V. That was a really bad joke. Yeah. Well, the setup took a little long. We kind of see what you saw where it was going. It wasn't, not a comedian, big V. No, no. Rich and Westchester's up on WIP. Hey, Rich. Hey, what's going on, man? Rich, what are you thinking? Um, one or a one, Hugh Douglas is talking about $70 million for Jalen Hertz. That's right. He is. Rich, what part of the conversation did you fail to follow? Like that's what I'm trying to figure out. Uh, I followed all of it. Okay. So how much did the high five take? We're passing it. Six. Six. So I'm asking, what did you miss about the whole conversation? Because the premise is this, he's like what the, the one of the lowest paid quarterbacks in the league, right? No, he's 11th now. Okay. 11th paid quarterback in the league on a quarterback that's taking his team to the Super Bowl. So the premise is if he asked for $70 million, he would be well within his right.
20So okay, pick it up from there. So what, what am I wrong about? Well, you're not wrong about it. He can, he's definitely got the right to ask for anything. I don't, I, I just think jumping from what's that get paid 24 million a year. Would you, that gets paid 60? He can, yeah, it's 60 million dollars a year. He gets, and then we're going to pay him 70, uh, well, the, it just, honestly, it now, it doesn't sound that bad, but he didn't perform like that, uh, you know, the last year, uh, and not saying he's going to perform any better going forward. Yeah, but he's taking your team to two Super Bowl. See, the, the, I kind of figured you didn't, you didn't catch that part of the conversation. That, yeah, you're right. I didn't. And, and, and, and, and this is the thing like, if you're talking about what the other quarterbacks are making and what Jaylin has accomplished, that's where he would be well within his rights to ask for pay raise now, whether or not we want to give it to him. And that, that's the argument. But when you talk about what he's already accomplished, he'd be well within his rights
20to ask for a pay raise. Now for sure, I just, I, I would go the other way, I would draft a quarterback at this point. If, you know, that's kind of, that was kind of Joe's premise. That was kind of Joe's premise. But here's the thing. I agree with you all for that. Here, here's the thing. No, Rich. We don't have one now. So the, the conversation basically is, if he asked for it now, it would be not great timing for everybody. Because now, whatever, whatever, whatever timeline you had, it, it kind of accelerates that. It puts you in a bad spot. That, that was my point. Like I hope he's not asking for that. But if he is, you're not just flat out telling me, no, you're trying to slow play it as much you can. I would. Joe trying to play hard ball. Well, it's just my, hard ball would be, let's negotiate, mine would be no, no, no, I don't talk about flat out, no, what would a franchise tag be for him? Well, so yeah, I think it's probably about the same, but I think it's, I mean, Rich could phone call me. It's important. No, he's not a free agent. And really anytime soon. So it's not a matter of he's going to walk away and they have to put a tag on him.
23I mean, he could put up his thing, but like he's under contract. I guess one thing that you say and he, when you, if the question is, is he in his right to ask, he could ask for it every once for me as a fan. And I do this with every player, not just shirts, what they've done means nothing to me. It's about what I think they're going to do moving forward. And I don't think he's worth that, his trajectory to me is going, it's either leveled off or it's going down. And let me tell you. And let me tell you. So I can't pay him that much more. And let me tell you why. Get more out of every mile when you share the ride to work. With carpooling, you'll have time to relax, save money, and pick up new friends. This is attorney Amida Zari from Zari Law. If you've been injured in an accident and feel like no one is fighting for you, it's
26time to fight back. Paul Zari Law at 888-838-Hurt, just with one call, you can put a proven legal team on your side. Zari Law has been serving the DMV for over 15 years, proudly fighting for our local community. I was born and raised right here in the DMV and my team is made up of experienced, reputable local attorneys dedicated to fighting for injury victims just like you. Follow us on all social platforms at azari.law. That's a-z-a-r-i dot L-A-W. Don't wait, don't settle. Fight back with Zari Law. With offices in Maryland, DC, and Virginia, my team and I are ready to stand up for you. Call 888-828-Hurt, that's 888-828-HURT, and let us fight back for you. I think the Eagles might be looking at this differently, Joe, it's because we're seriously sitting here having a conversation number one or moving on from a receiver that was
30clearly upset about the passing game and Jaylen is a part of that. And number two is they've gotten all these smart individuals, these young smart individuals, this brain trust, if you will, around Jaylen Hurtz to help us your him into whatever era they are trying to get him to be in because they believe in it. Well, they're trying to salvage what they have already. Because they believe it. They believe, yeah. Well, I think they believed. Okay, but that's the thing, Joe, you don't go out. You've created, okay, look at it like this. You've created two new jobs when you talk about the passing game, coordinated controller or whatever it is who audition for the offensive coordinated job, and the other guy. Is it a treasured or a grizzard, do we know? Grizzard, whatever you want to call me. Clizzy. Clizzy. And then you got the other guy that was up for the same job and you hired both of them. That's Johnson because you're trying, because you believe in the quarterback and you believe
31that he could get you to a couple more super votes. That's what that is. So with all of that being said, it's not perfect timing to ask for the money. But if he did, you're not telling me no, because you've already shown him, if I'm his age, you've already shown me that you believe in me in some capacity that you went out and did all of this to try to help me get better. So hey, if he asked for it, you can't just say no. I would. Yeah. I mean, you would. It would be bad. I don't know. What does that mean? It'd be bad. He's on the contract. Man, listen. What is he going to do? What is he going to do? Fine. He's going to do nothing. All right. If he says fine, then good. Fine. I hope he don't ask, because I hate to tell him, wait, or let's see how this works. Why are you pretending you would have a problem telling him no to his face? No, I'm not going to tell him no to his face. I'm that. How are you going to tell him no, either? I gave you a T. Yeah.
31I put no one saying yes. Here's. Let's just break back up the brainstorm. Here's. Here's more. That's 75. I would say wait before I say no. I would say wait. Hold up. Yeah. You beat around the bush while we're like, what the hell? 70 million. All right. Wait. Can we check in with you people? It's time to hear from you people. What do you need? You people. Boo. It's like you came back supporting a tan. I keep this tan all year round. Well, that's what you were talking about when we were down there. You didn't have to be in the sun. You didn't have to be in the sun. I got this tan guy again to me. Why? I don't think I got some burn or anything. Down there. Yeah. We's in a shape. That's true. We were inside. Well, and I apply a lot of sunscreen. And we were in an interrogation room for. Yeah. I was interrogating. They let you guys back after yesterday's performance. They did? Yeah. Wait a minute. What happened yesterday? A lot. A lot happened. I mean, I thought yesterday went pretty good. Well, he was close. He was close. He was close. He was awesome. We all heard it.
31Was awesome. I can't wait for the next one. Thank you. Thank you. I said it all. Okay. Not wait for the next one. Yeah. That might have been grounds to cancel our flight back. Just stay down. You guys. I can't believe you showed up after team act left. You dog was out of the state of Florida. Got it. Yeah. Red free. Red free. Red free. Who is the producer? The same producer that we've had the whole time. The whole time. We want to be fair. It was buzz yesterday. That's right. Buzz was back. Yeah. I forgive Kyle for the mustache. That was nice. That was nice. I'm not a politician for it. Yeah. Yeah. That's yours. A rock your mustache. I'm going to. Hey guys. Bobby Brink. Traded is not breaking news. It is. It is. It's for us because he puts. Today is the deadline. Absolutely is breaking news. I was a fan of Bobby Brink. He scored a goal that night. Dead on him to score the goal. And I was a fan of him. You also, it's not up to you. It's kind of up to us. That's true. Yeah. It's kind of high rows around these parts. I think they just got scared it was an AJ trade. And when they heard the sounder. Yeah.
31Well, that's true. I'm. Might have. Might have spooked some people. Yeah. Got to mind. Okay. A lot of people did want to let us know today. Lebecfin is closed and has been for a while. Even after we get set out to this claim. That's what I was saying. Folks don't listen, man. Now. Well, people jump in at different times. They hear Lebecfin. They don't know why we're talking about it. Yeah. I got plenty of calls. We've been talking about it for the last couple of days. He was going to owe me any dinner. I wanted Lebecfin Monday when AJ traded this weekend. But then there was a faction of people who want to get in on the Lebecfin thing. Like, they all want to come with us. You know what? They can come. Awesome. Yeah. They want us to actually get what we're doing. We're going to. Group outing on you at Lebecfin. I got it. It's on me. And another theory. What if we're giving him so much buzz that they're forced to reopen? Yeah. You guys do that. Like, someone out there's like, you know what? People are talking about us again. We're back in the news. We're back in the news. We're back in the news. Like they reboot a show or something after years. They're back up. They're back up. Yeah, we back up. Yeah. You guys are welcome. Well, you might singlehandedly put Lebecfin back into Philly. Well, what was it? What would they know for? I can't remember.
31Well, probably French. Well, yeah. I'm saying, but what was there like signature dish? You're the one that brought it up. Yeah. Didn't you used to go out? Yes, car got. See if I could find the old menus somewhere online. Yes, car got. And taking up for Jalen Hertz. Did you guys leave the real Joe Giulio in Florida? I did find Lebecfin's menu. I just felt it was unfair to her. There's a level of where we could say he's closer mediocre than great. And that's not disrespectful. But he said that AJ Brown wants to put a team with a quarter back. That was a quarterback. Well, that was disrespectful. It totally. Let me just say a great quarterback. And I would have cared about that. A quarterback is what you say to a team that has Gina Smith. Yeah. It made you have a real quarterback. It was remarkable that it was said. That wasn't the only time you had an outburst though. A little bit scarier earlier. Maybe you should watch out for your pen pen. Well, we did start the show with the pen pen. Yeah. You were all over that story. How you pen pen in coaching though?
31That is crazy. I'm telling you, the guy couldn't have had a good record. There's no way you could do that. But now I got to hear the practice and how you were talking to the kids at practice. And did you talk to your employees differently? The ones that you talked to at night? Your heart rate go up, talking about pimps again? No, I'm just saying it. I don't know my phone. Well, it's like Doug Oplet. Doesn't Doug Gottlieb do the talk radio show? And he coaches college basketball? He's a look. His team's a style. Yeah, being a talk. No, I didn't say it's the same as the pen. I'm just saying like, no, but it's like, how do you talk to him? Because I would imagine that the conversation. The conversation, the, the vernacular, it would have to bleed over in the practice, right? I don't know. And cuss words like you calling people out their name and stuff. You think so? I would, I mean, it all depends on how, you know, I guess how the people you got working for you working. You think he talked to his team like the clientele? It's clientele like the team. I think that's what I'm trying to figure out. Because it had to bleed, one had to bleed into another. Because at some point when you're coaching the young men,
33you might have used some colorful words that you might have used for when, you know, the people that you have in your employee, you know, in coming back with the right amount. Or he accidentally asked the young ladies do a layup line or something silly like that. Yeah. Yeah. Cross. Cross in the team. Yeah. Yeah. All right. One last thing here. Worst, worst stint in Florida for you. Last two days, where is Jagsen here? What happened the last two days that would be the worst? We just went over this. You're talking about the team act laughing. What the hell? Well, the Hughes clues. I was on top of my guy talking about talking about a restaurant that closed 13 years ago. You fell asleep at the bar. You did fall asleep at the bar. The baggage on the way there that I had to get for you that was I had the right one. You said no. When don't I fall asleep at the bar though? I mean, you act like you act like this the first time we've ever been anywhere and I fell asleep somewhere. But that's not the only incident. What? As we just described your performance on the plane. In the wrong form. You got in the wrong seat.
33And then you made Joe hold up the entire back of the plane to get your bag. And then told him he had the wrong bag. When in fact, it was the right bag. It's pretty wild when you say it like that. Okay. And it all happened. And I ask again. Yep. You act like this. Okay. So I'm the first time we've traveled together and we've had we've had these happen before. Well, you know what? Then maybe we want to add the last one when you smash your head on the overhead. And you almost got left and full. Almost got that. But but again. Where is that any different to any other trip that we take? Sounds like your picks and your pick and jacks. I actually think last year's shoe Florida performance was worse. He literally said, I'm just going to say I don't know what I'm doing. No, I was going to stay. I mean, but but you act like I don't fall asleep at the bar all the time. I almost got stuck this time. Yeah. I dropped my ID. Oh, that's right. Oh, yeah. At the bag check thing. Oh, wow. I find it. The guy took the shuttle. It was on the ground. The guy took the shuttle. Came to the terminal. I was at a TSA and and gave me my ID.

Yeah. You're next. I mean, dude, as you last time, the sound was me. So be prepared for someone going to start the bus on the road. All right. We might have to drive back. Yeah. We might have to drive back. Yeah. Skip could drive us back. Yeah. You go with Skip. No. No. If that ever happens, and I had, I'm going by myself. If y'all don't want to drive, ride with me. I'll ride by myself. Skip, not ride. Not excited about pitchers and catchers. No. Not excited about Skip riding and vehicle with me talking all the time. All right. Well, you know, I'm excited for. Which is exciting. Well, the end of our bat on Monday. Is AJ here? Is he not legal tampering? He got all day lunch. Let's do it. Come on, baby. The back fence. The back fence. It's on the line. We know it's closed. Sure. We could get that. We could get anything on the menu on the restaurant that closed 13 years ago. All right. That is enough for us today. You guys have a great weekend. What do we got? We have a little World Baseball Classic on top of that? That would be bad.
33Yeah. Watching a USA. Hopefully dominate this weekend in the World Baseball Classic. That should be fun. And of course, all eyes are going to be on the Eagles. And this AJ stuff over the next 48 hours into Monday afternoon show. They'll be talking about their live at Chickies today. We'll talk to you on Monday on Sports Radio 94 at WIP. Bruce.
