Hoda Kotb's Today Show Returns: Family Sticks Around

0:00On April 28th, Hota Kobe said goodbye to the today's show last year, but she's still popping up all over it. She left in January 2025, yet keeps coming back to promote projects and share stories. Just recently, she stepped in for Savannah Guthrie while Savannah took time off after her mom's disappearance in February. Earlier this month on April 13th, Hota joined Savannah at the anchor desk for the first time in a year, filling in for Craig Melvin during his spring break. Savannah was thrilled, saying it feels like Hota never really left, and Hota agreed she loves being back in that chair next to her. The cast treats Hota like family, according to Al Roker. He told TV Insider, she's never far away and always welcome, joking it's like she's just back from vacation. Their bond runs deep off screen too. Hota celebrated Roker's 30 years on the show with sweet Instagram posts of him with her daughters. Roker also plugged his new PBS Kids series, Weather Hunters, for Mother's Day.
