Having K-Building Services has submitted plans to Bassett Law District Council to convert the old two-story warehouse into five self-contained flats, plus a bungalow next door. The setup keeps the building's historic outside look intact while turning the inside into homes with kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms for each unit. This would get on-site support around the clock from a trusted care team. This targets folks with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, mental health issues, or physical challenges, helping them build independence and stable. Spot. It's a smart move for the community, breathing new life into an underused site tied to the town's old brewing history. Plans highlight vacant land on the property, currently held by a solar energy firm called Havenkai Energy Solutions. Officials say it meets a real need for quality housing without messing up the local vibe.
